Save the Date: Senior Options Night February 16

Senior Options will be a culminating activity available to all eligible high school seniors. It will enable students to enhance their education by encouraging them to utilize their knowledge and skill in an area of personal interest outside of the traditional school setting.Senior Options will be:❖ Enriching❖ Making connections between school and work❖ A real-world experience❖ Enabling students to pursue interests in a particular field

• Last day of classes – April 29• AP Exams- May 2 - May 13

• Final Exams – April 15 - April 30 in class

• Senior Options– Starting May 3, or after their last AP Exam

● Credits:

○ 1 credit (“everyday” class) = 6 out of 8 days

○ .5 credit or lab (“alternate day” class) = 3 out of 8 days

● 22 credits minimum required for graduationEnglish – 4.0 Social Studies – 4.0Mathematics - 3.0 Science - 3.0 World Language - 1.0 Fine/Performing Arts - 1.0Physical Education – 2.0 Health - .50 Electives – 3.5(can be thought of 4 years of English, 3 years of math, etc…)

● 80 hours of Community Service or 4 Community Service Projects

Passport 4 Good - Log Hours! Must be approved by a supervisor

Community Service Google Classroom - All students should have joined. - Videos - Opportunities

If Community Service is not completed by May 1, no Senior Option!
