Policies

Policy 404 – Employment of Professional Employees - No candidate shall be employed without the appropriate clearances.

Policy 404.4 – A teacher who wishes to delete a certification area from their certificate must apply to the Superintendent in writing between September 1st and December 1st for an effective date of June 30th. All Teachers will be notified by December 15th of a decision.

Policy 408 – Professional employees shall sign a contract upon employment. They are required to sign a new contract once they become tenured. A copy of the Collective Bargaining agreement is emailed to professional employees upon hiring.

Policy 412 – Explanation of the rating system for tenured professional staff.

Policy 413 – Explanation of the rating system for non-tenured staff.

Policy 417 – Procedures for progressive discipline and what types of incidents are subject to progressive discipline.

Policy 423 – No smoking anywhere on District property or in District vehicles.

Policy 425 - Dress and grooming, staff is expected to be clean, neat and use good judgement.

Policy 426 – This policy details the chain of command and how an employee should proceed with a complaint.

Policy 433 – This policy covers professional development, including Induction, tuition reimbursement, and attendance at conferences.

Policy 434 – The appropriate use of sick leave is outlined in this policy.

Policy 435 – This policy explains the steps that need to be taken by employees if they are going to request a medical leave of absence.

Policy 440 – This policy covers the guidelines for student welfare within the school.

Policy 448 – This policy covers the procedures and reporting mechanism for unlawful harassment claims.

Policy 451 – This policy covers the District’s EAP services

Policy 451A – This policy goes over the protocols relating to illegal substance abuse.
