Yesterday after mass Laura Varela (5th) gave a beautiful goodbye message to the school family express-ing thanks for all learned and experienced by her, Dan-iela (3rd), and Rafael (K) while their family was at St. Rose School. The Varela family then celebrated by bring-ing donuts for all students and staff in the cafeteria! We wish them well as they return to Mexico to a new home and school in Merida.

This weekend is ‘Respect Life Sunday,’ remind-ing us the preciousness of God’s gift of life to us and im-portance of showing respect from the moment of con-ception to the last breath we breathe. Let’s help each other and our children be respectful through words, ac-tions, and interactions; praying and becoming prayer. October is the month of the Holy Rosary; come pray with us after school masses at our Rosary Mary Garden.

There’s always something to fix and repair around campus and on Monday the A/C unit in the first grade classroom will have a part changed out. The class will be in the learning lab that day. Tiny Tootsie Talk

from our Early Childhood Center

Teaching the Faith to our youngest is a great honor and serious responsibility with eternal rewards.

How do we teach 3,4 & 5 year old children such pro-found concepts such as the truth of the Holy Trinity? Simple, with childlike faith and trust in our God who will help us. As teacher we use both the spiritual gifts and tangible re-sources God provides each of us to guide the children into the life of the church. For example the 3K Little Angels have been learning all about the Letter A as a cross curricular theme. We use object lessons to make connections be-tween the knowledge they already have with new concepts. Taking an apple we discussed how it has three parts the skin, the flesh, and the core with seeds that make up one apple; just like there are three persons in the Holy Trinity yet one God. God the Father who covers all, Jesus the son who took on flesh and became man, and the Holy Spirit who sows seeds of faith and inspires them to grow. Every day objects can help us teach the youngest child the truth and unconditional love of our catholic faith. What will you use to share the gospel with your child today?

Blessings of Faith, Family, Friendship & Fun be upon you all!
