About this Document: The purpose of this document is to introduce for student directed learning activities using a well-known grid/scaffold. It is not an endpoint, rather an inspiration to change some existing paper based activities into digital learning opportunities. The nature of webtools means that this resource is bound to need updating, changing and readjusting in a short timeframe. Start developing your own grid that suits your needs, and changes as time and experience demand. Consideration to focus the tools on Multiple Intelligences was given, but not adopted. The use of webtools should be to enhance the learning and thinking experiences of students, not so much focus on the style in which they learn. The page table should give a nice snapshot, and any further programming needed, may focus this a little more. Lastly, too use at the creation level should be about creating new thinking, learning and understanding. It is easy to be inspired to create presentation of learning and student feedback.
Ideas for Using this Resource: Professional Learning
Spend time in threes to look at an existing grid / program and swap some tools in for activities that are paper based. Make sure to provide students with opportunities to share their work via online spaces to the greater school or global community.
Work through in groups to complete a PMI (positive, minus, interesting) about some tools, before reporting these results back to a faculty or stage group.
Swap don’t stop Swap tools in for existing learning activities of assessment tasks. By swapping in
some tools, you can keep existing programming, yet integrate the use of technology to enhance engagement and student outcomes.
Student directed learning: Consider setting units of work in which students can choose their own learning
pathways, choice of presentation of knowledge, and development of learning portfolios.

Presentation of Student Work: Collation and presentation of multi-task project such as one completed with webtools is very important. The following portfolio tools could be considered for collation of student work:
