magazine. It’s full of ideas for people who work

with children in their churches and local communities. Pull it

out and pass it around.

Children’s ministry is amazingly influential. It impacts children both in the church and the local community. It touches the present as well as the future.

That makes leaders like you very special and it is a real privilege for us to be able to come alongside you and help you in your children’s ministry.

SUNZ can train you and your children’s ministry leaders – come to our WAY2GO children’s ministry conferences, or if you prefer we can come to you. We will help you run clubs in your community or local schools. We can give you advice about holiday programmes. We also offer SUPAkidz Camps for you to take your children on as part of your ongoing

programme.

Whatever you need, please ask us to help. We want to work with you to help you reach out to the children around you and grow their relationship with God.

While you are doing these activities with the children remember to help them think deeply and well. Try asking these questions:• Why did Jesus choose to die?• What happened when Jesus came back to life?• What is your favourite part of the Easter story? Why?• What do you think the most important part of the Easter story is? Why?

Check out these Easter ideas…

Make an exploding Easter card. Every child will need • A piece of paper 21cm x 21cm for the inside of the card. This could be blank for the children to draw on, or you could photocopy an Easter picture or appropriate Bible verse for them to colour. • A piece of coloured card 12cm x 23cm, folded in half to make the outside of the card.• Felts and glue.

The children colour in the piece of paper and write their Easter message on it. Then they fold it as follows and glue it into the card. (NB this is a little fiddly and so it is a good idea to make sure you have plenty of helpers.)

These animated DVDs are a great way to tell the Easter story using the actual words from the Bible. Use them to introduce the Easter story or reinforce your message.You can download them for free from www.biblesociety.org.au
