Robert Kietzman #67 & 68 has Hedge Apples and large mums. Mums are beautiful flowers that are fairly hardy against frost. As your petunias, geraniums and lilies are fading, mums will compliment the fall color with their garden-cheering color.

Thomas Sonderegger #16 has delicious apples and cider. When guest Chef Josie from Bravo’s Top Chef demonstrated how to cook brussel sprouts, she cooked them in this apple cider. For flavor that will please anyone’s taste buds, add cider to brussel sprouts, pork chops and even make a pork gravy using cider. Cider popsicles make a wonderful, nutritious treat on a warm fall day.

Craig Petros #59 is known as “the honey guy” at the Farmers’ Market. This nickname is well deserved as his honey is absolutely delicious. You can spread it on toast, use it for baking, or add a little to sweeten peas, carrots, sweet potatoes and squash.

Esther’s Bakery #42 has delicious baked breads, pies and treats, including mini-pies that are perfectly sized for lunches.

Question Of The Week

What if I purchase something large or heavy - how can I get

the item to my car?

If you make a purchase at the market and it's not easy to carry to your vehicle, we do have designated loading areas where you will be able to pull up your vehicle close to the Market to load your purchases and then pull away. The vendor you purchased from might be able to help you get the item into your vehicle. There is also the Market Manager on site who can help you.

Waukesha Noon Lioness Club Not your grandmother’s coffee club!

Be sure to become a fan of “Historic Downtown Waukesha” on Facebook for all the latest news on your community!

While the Waukesha Noon Lioness Club was first organized as the Lionettes 73 years ago, it is definitely not your grandmother's coffee club! The Lioness is a service club sponsored by, and enjoying a close working relationship with the Waukesha Noon Lions Club. As such, they are affiliated with Lions International and Lioness Clubs around the world.

Here in Waukesha , the Lioness are a group of active, socially aware women, from h o m e m a k e r s , o f f i c e employees, business owners to professionals. The Lioness have a common mission, serving the community through hands-on and fundraising programs. Working at a common effort, they enjoy sharing each others' ideas and friendship at monthly meetings. Among the local nonprofit agencies that the Waukesha Noon Lioness assist include:

ARCh, The Women's Center, The Food Pantry of Waukesha County, The Caring Place, St. Joseph's Medical Clinic, Strong Links Teen Center, Healthy Families of Waukesha County and Zablocki VA Women Veterans Clothing Room. Various Lions projects, such as Leader Dog and Blind Outdoor Leisure Development, are

also part of the caring mission.

If you would like to learn more about the Waukesha Noon Lioness Club, stop by Sprizzo's Gallery Caffe on

Main Street on Saturday, October 1 from 2-4 p.m. for a "Meet and Greet" with Lioness members. They will be happy to share information about the work they do.
