Dynamic Catholic, Alive! – Pray Always There’s really only one way to learn to “pray always”: first we must learn to “pray today”! Instead of spending our waking moments interiorly talking only to “ourselves,” let our thoughts begin to stretch, reaching out so that we’re talking to God instead! After all, at Baptism, the Holy Spirit comes to dwell within us—why not spend some quality time in conversation with our closest Guest? Pray today—a simple but essential step on the path toward God. THIS WEEK’S READINGS: Although our first reading depicts a violent battle, the point is clearly made that continual prayer brings results. Not only that, but we can help each other to pray. Listening to this reading and the others, what else can we learn about persistence and prayer today?

QUESTION OF THE WEEK: In order to answer Jesus’ unanswered question from today’s Gospel—“When the Son of Man comes, will he find any faith on earth?”—with a heartfelt yes, to whom must I show Jesus’ compassionate mercy?

Congratulations! Coaches Rob and Pam Luna would like to congratulate the St. Joachim Saints Soccer team as we finished up our season on Saturday October 8. We would also like to thank all the parents who also worked hard to make sure the players made it to practices and games on time and for being a great cheering crowd! Thank you to our athletic banner sponsors and to Johnny Litton and Phil Pashia who made sure our field was always cut and looking nice.
