Is it really so hard to love one another?

Is it really so hard to forgive each other?

Is it really so hard to stop a war,

Instead of fighting over what to fight for?

Why do we too often make war our lover?

What blinds us, compels us to kill a brother?

Is it hate? Is it spite? Selfishness? Or pride?

Or is it all of these things that we carry inside?

Will we ever learn that war solves nothing at all?

Will we ever learn that war causes brothers to fall?

All that hate, all that spite, all that selfishness and pride.

When will we start to use the good we carry inside?

The hands that kill can be hands that heal.

The legs that now march can in peace kneel.

The weapons of death can fade into the past,

Replaced by a peace that will finally last.

however, write the poem. Thank you for watching.
