Visa Requirements in New Zealand If you’re planning to study in New Zealand full time or for more than three months you’ll be requiring a student visa. Here are a few documents which are necessary to procure a student visa: 1- Confirmation of Enrolment or Evidence of Scholarship: For students enrolling in a programme of study for the first time you need to have an offer of place form an approved New Zealand education provider. 2- Health Certificate: The health certificate for a foreign fee paying student which needs to be submitted for the New Zealand visa should be a Chest X- Ray Certificate (INZ- 1096) with a low incidence of tuberculosis. In some circumstances, you may be asked to provide a General Medical Certificate (INZ- 1007). 3- Medical and Travel Insurance: International students are required to hold acceptable medical and travel insurance as a condition of their visa. 4- Police Certificate: If you are over 17 years and intend to study and stay in New Zealand for more than two years, you must provide a police certificate to show that you are of a good character. 5- Evidence of Funds: Aside from paying the tuition fee, you will require a statement of funds to show that you will be financially supported throughout your stay in New Zealand.
