Definition of stripping, imposition and dummy:

Stripping – process of assembling all pieces of film containing images that will be carried on a printing plate.Imposition – placement of images in position so that they will be in desired location on the final printed sheet. Dummy – blank sheet of papers folded in the same manner as the final job and marked with page numbers and heads.

The stripping procedure:- Place marking sheet on light table- Tape film with emulsion up on the ruled

marking sheet.- Turn over the flat on a light table to be

right reading.- Cut out sections of marking sheet to

expose image on the film.
