Doctor’s visit ( August 10 th ) “Doctors like you replace the fear of illness with trust in recovery”

Physical fitness is not only one of the most important keys to a healthy body, it is the basic of dynamic and creative intellectual activity. Children from K.G 1 had the month of August begin with interesting topics in E.V.S like, Health, hygiene, neatness, cleanliness & so on. While in class they enjoyed learning more by questions and adding more knowledge to these topics. The visit by the doctor found them engrossed and involved with the conversation only because it was their daily routine that the doctor spoke to them about & how they could organize their hygiene resulting in excellent health. A power point presentation was shown on body hygiene, like how they can keep their nails, teeth, feet & hands clean to avoid sickness. Pictures to show the procedures helped them understand better.

The doctor practically dramatized the movements on how to brush teeth, wash hands & much more. The 30 minute interaction was worth a million as the observation by the teaching faculty was, that the children would sure have them remember body hygiene, neatness and cleanliness till they are old enough to know more for themselves. Only because the doctor had to mention a word and children had lots to add to the conversation.

We take this opportunity to Thank Dr. Leelavathi for taking time out from her daily routine to spend time with children educating them.
