“Let me tell you why I believe
abortion is the crucial issue of
our age. First, because abortion,
too, is about living within the truth. The
right to life is the foundation of every other
human right. If that right is not inviolate, then no
right can be guaranteed. Or to put it more bluntly:
Homicide is homicide, no matter how small the
victim.” ~Most Rev. Charles Chaput

130. How is the Resurrection
the work of the Most Holy
Trinity?
The Resurrection of Christ is a
transcendent work of God. The three Persons act
together according to what is proper to them: the
Father manifests his power; the Son “takes again”
the life which he freely offered (John 10:17), reu-
niting his soul and his body which the Spirit
brings to life and glorifies.
Stephen Ray was raised in a de-
vout, loving, Baptist family. In
this presentation, he shares his amazing conversion
to Catholicism and explains why he is convinced it
is the Church founded by Christ over 2000 years
ago.
Comments: Fantastic!! This is absolutely the one
CD everyone should start with. It is persuasive,
informative, and highly valuable in educating
Catholics and non-Catholics about Catholicism!

The Good Friday
Collection Explained
Pictured (above) is the Jerusalem Cross. If you
have the opportunity to visit the Holy Land you
will see this cross displayed everywhere. The
meaning behind the Jerusalem Cross can be ex-
plained in many ways. The most famous are its
representation of the Five Wounds of Jesus Christ.
Another is the large cross representing the Person
of Jesus, with the smaller four crosses represent-
ing the Four Gospels spread to the four corners of
the Earth started in the Upper Room, in Jerusa-
lem, more than 2000 years ago on Pentecost. We
are blessed with rich and marvelous tradition! The
Good Friday collection is taken up once a year
and provides the necessary basic cash flow, oper-
ating income if you will, to sustain the Catholic
institutions in the Holy Land. It is our collective
privilege and duty to preserve our tangible herit-
age in our Christian Holy Land.
This collection is taken on Good Friday, April
18th during the Liturgical Service.
Thank you in advance for your generosity.

Men in Fellowship & PrayerMen in Fellowship & PrayerMen in Fellowship & Prayer
In the ancient Middle East, kings could enter a city in two ways. Horses were used for war, so
if the king rode on a horse it usually meant trouble. If they came in peace, they would ride a
donkey, a humble act. Jesus was sending two clear messages to the people of Jerusalem. The
first was that he is king; the second message is that his intentions were peaceful. Jesus came
down the Mount of Olives into the Kidron Valley, to the east temple. It is a very steep de-
scent. The road was a dirt path. The spring rains made the passage slippery. The people hail-
ing Jesus placed branches and clothing on the road so that the footing was safe. John’s gospel
mentions that the branches were from palm trees. This is one week in which we should not
short-change God. He has given his life for us, so that we can live forever. We should observe
this as a different kind of week a truly HOLY week. If we spend time with him now, we can
be certain that he will be there when we need him. Holy Week brings the Christian nearer
than ever to the death of the Savior and the events on Holy Thursday and Good Friday. Holy
Week is a time for reflection and prayer, thanking God that the plan of salvation has been accomplished.
