The KC hosted their 25th annual golf tournament on April 28, 2018. The purpose of the tournament was to raise scholarship funds for graduat-
ing seniors that are family of KC members and/or graduating seniors that are active parishioners at Santa Cruz Catholic Church. We awarded
$6,000.00 in scholarships this year: (4) $1000.00 scholarships for KC family graduates and (4) $500.00 scholarships for active graduating
parishioners. Below is a list of the students that were awarded the scholarships. The tournament is named after Antonio (Marty) Martinez and
is hosted the last weekend of April of each year. The deadline for scholarship applications is the first week of June. April 27, 2019 will be our
26th Annual Golf Tournament @ Onion Creek Golf Course. Hope to see you there!

Dear Parishioners,
We are blessed at Santa Cruz with well-planned facilities
that accommodate the pastoral needs of our growing par-
ish. In 2001 our parish church was constructed. The of-
fices, school and religious education structures were built
in 2005 and 2015. Additionally, the chapel dates to
2008. As our parish has expanded so has our need for
ongoing cleaning and care of the facilities. Now, more
than ever before, our parishioners expect a safe and
healthy environment to pray, study and serve.
I ask that we assemble a committee of parishioners who
have professional experience with the cleaning and care of
facilities to put together a plan that will safeguard our re-
sponsibility to keep the buildings in good condition. If you
are qualified to serve on this committee, please contact
me by phone at the parish office (512-312-2520) or by
email at [email protected].
Please remember this important project in your prayers
that we may work together as a faith community in a spirit
of purity and holiness.
Bless your people, Lord, who wait for the gift of your com-
passion. Grant that what they desire by your inspiration
they may receive through your goodness through Christ

En Santa Cruz estamos bendecidos con instalaciones bien
planeadas que se prestan a las necesidades de nuestra cre-
ciente parroquia. Nuestra parroquia fue construida en el año
2001. La estructura de las oficinas, la escuela y educación
religiosa fueron construida en el 2005 y 2015. Adicional-
mente, la capilla se remonta hasta el 2008. Así como la pa-
rroquia se ha expandido también se expande la necesidad de
continua limpieza y cuidado de nuestras instalaciones. Aho-
ra, mas que nunca, nuestros feligreses esperan tener un am-
biente seguro y saludable para rezar, estudiar y para servir.
Yo propongo que se establezca un comité formado por feli-
greses con experiencia profesional en el cuidado y limpieza
de nuestras instalaciones, para instituir un plan que salva-
guarde nuestra responsabilidad de mantener en buenas con-

Holy Water Fonts The holy water fonts as we enter the church are brass with a plastic liner. Great care is taken to assure the holy water is fresh and blessed according to the appropriate formulary. When we enter the church, we take the holy water and bless ourselves making the + sign of the Cross. Please do not remove the plastic liner to use as a dipper in the flowing holy water font because water then remains between the plastic liner and the brass bowl. The trapped drops of water between the brass and the plastic cause deterioration of the brass finish. Thank you for helping all of us to keep the holy water fonts in good condition so that we may bless our-selves with a font that is well kept and is a reflection of our respect for the church and Our Lord.

This year's annual Holy Cross Festival will be Friday, September 7th (6:00p to 11:00p) and Saturday, September 8th (12:00p to 10:00p). Admis-
sion is free; parking will be $5 on Friday and $8 on Saturday.
Raffle tickets have been distributed and we’re asking all families to sell a minimum of $30 in raffle tickets. Additional raffle tickets may be
picked up at the school office during their summer hours (M-TH: 9:00a—12:00p) or at the Parish office.
We are seeking non-food vendors to sell items such as jewelry or arts and crafts during the festival. This is a great way to advertise your busi-
ness within the community. Contact the Holy Cross Festival committee at: [email protected] with any festival related questions.
