Technical Officer – Adolescent Health, Suaahara II – Short term position based in Nawalparasi (1) and Dailekh (1)
Key responsibilities: The Technical Officer- Adolescent Health is responsible to provide technical support to the project team, partners, municipalities, health facilities and schools during the implementation, monitoring, documentation and reviews of Adolescent Health, Nutrition and WASH program at district, municipalities and school level. S/he will support district level sharing workshops, trainings (teachers and student) and ensure quality implementation of the overall package at schools. Preferred Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health, Nursing or Nutrition with 3 years of work experience in Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (MNCH), Nutrition or Adolescent Health. 2. MNCH and GESI Officer, Suaahara II – Short term position based in Palpa (1)
Key responsibilities: The MNCH and GESI Officer is responsible to provide technical support to the project team and partners in the process of planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and advocacy of project approaches and activities in the Health Services and GESI component of the project. S/he will support in designing packages and implementing MNCH and GESI activities, preparing process documentation, and disseminating findings and learning in relevant forums. Preferred Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health, Nursing or Nutrition with 3 years of work experience in Maternal, Newborn and Child Health. 3. Internal Audit Trainee – based in Kathmandu (Reserved for candidates from marginalized communities)
Key responsibilities: The internal Audit trainee will support Internal Audit Unit to provide an independent appraisal of CARE Nepal’s financial, program/project, operational and control activities. S/he will assist in performing audit/review of the projects and partners, testing of expenditure, procurement spot check, and drafting of audit reports. Preferred Qualifications and Experience: Trainees must have completed certificate level or earned a degree or be pursuing higher studies in accounting, financial management or undergoing professional accounting courses like CA, ACCA.
4. Finance Trainee – based in Kathmandu (Reserved for candidates from marginalized communities)
Key responsibilities: The finance trainee will support Finance department in maintaining records of day to day financial transactions, and systematic filing of financial documents. S/he will facilitate internal and external audit process, and assist in bank deposits as well as TAX, NLK and PF deposits. Preferred Qualifications and Experience: Trainees must have completed certificate level or earned a degree or be pursuing higher studies in accounting, finance or related discipline.

Trainee – Finance Department
Background CARE Nepal is an international humanitarian organization working in Nepal for the past 42 years. It currently works in 55 districts through different projects and programs on issues relating to improving the lives of the poorest and most vulnerable populations through programs in natural resource management, livelihoods, women empowerment, equity and social justice. CARE Nepal provides traineeship opportunities to individual students. The purpose of the program is to provide trainees/students with the opportunity to apply academic knowledge and skills in a professional environment and participate in various development activities. The Finance Trainee will support finance team to conduct day to day financial transactions in smooth and timely manner. Roles and Responsibilities
Systematic filling of all the CARE Letters(financial), AP/GL vouchers, letters, Settlement Vouchers.
Provide the vouchers needed for audit and notify finance assistant to record the issue of it. Ensure they are properly put back after completion of audit.
Maintain records of all cash received for settlement and deposit it into the bank accounts accordingly.
Assist in managing day to day financial record.
Assist in daily banking transactions
Assist in TAX, NLK and PF deposits.
Prepare the PF & CIT letter for outgoing staffs.
Perform any other duties as assigned by finance department. Learning Objectives:

The internal Audit trainee will support Internal Audit Manger to provide an independent appraisal of CARE Nepal’s financial, program/project, operational and control activities. The trainee will assist to conduct audit for management to access adequacy and effectiveness of control, accuracy of financial records, efficiency of operations and the extent to which assets are safeguarded. Roles and Responsibilities
Support for efficient functioning of the Internal Audit Unit of CARE Nepal.
Travel to CN Project sites as assigned by Internal Audit manager; if situation requires field visit may be up to 75% of the time.
Support internal audit manager/officer in the internal audit/review engagement as per internal audit plan.
Support for performing procurement spot check on quarterly basis in CO and field offices.
Support during necessary testing of expenditure as per pre-determined testing sheets.
Support in performing audit/review of the CN projects and partners expense and provide detailed report along with implication and recommendation in the standard reporting template.
Assist in site follow up of the previous reports issued from Internal auditors, external auditors and other monitoring reports has to be performed at the time of performing the audit of the concerned department, PNGOs, projects and etc. Each report shall include a section with implementation status of the previous reports.
Support in distance follow up on the findings of previous/past audit and appraise the effectiveness of the action taken by the respective management, within the period of 2 to 3 months of the issuing final report each finding/recommendation of the report has to be followed up.
External/mission and other audit facilitation as per the instruction of Internal Audit Manager.
Any other assignments/tasks assigned by Internal Audit Manager has to be performed with full of integrity, due care and professionally within the deadline.

JOB SUMMARY Technical Officer- Adolescent Health is responsible to provide technical support to the project team,
partners, municipalities, health facilities and schools during the implementation, monitoring,
documentation and reviews of Adolescent Health, Nutrition and WASH program, especially at
district, municipalities and school level. The Technical Officer will support district level sharing
workshops, trainings (teachers and student) and ensure quality implementation of the overall package
at schools.
Technical Officer- Adolescent Health will also be responsible for regularizing school level
adolescent activities, collection and documentation of relevant information, implementation of
SHNSB (School Health) and routine reviews. Furthermore, s/he will provide backstopping support
to frontline workers, teachers and resource students. S/he will maintain close coordination and
collaboration with municipalities, nearby health facilities and school level SMC/PTA, focusing on
adolescent component. Technical Officer- Adolescent Health will support for regularizing IFA
supplementation at schools and timely reporting of the program activities. The TO will facilitate the
adolescents integrated package based on the strategy. This position is based on district Suaahara
office with 80 % field visit. S/he also support the team for any other required tasks relevant to the
project.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:
R1. Program Implementation
With support from central and district team, facilitate trainings in district, municipalities and
schools
Prepare monthly plan, monthly monitoring, onsite coaching plan based on adolescent strategy
and package in close coordination with Suaahara District team, implementing partner, school
management committees and school teachers.
Support team to follow program guidelines, curriculums and protocols.

Coordinate with schools and teachers to ensure implementation of modular sessions by resource
students among their peers
Ensure each schools establish and functionalize Adolescent Health and Nutrition Corner (Saathi
Corner) and regularization of Radio Listeners Group (RLG)
Make routine visit to each school and ensure everything is intact
Lead School Health And Nutrition Score Board (SHNSB) as applicable (in the selected schools)
Support in peer mobilization, and modular session with peers held by resource students
Ensure semi-annual review meetings and maintaining quality (as per guidelines) at schools and
re-orient trained teachers and resource students on the adolescent package
Provide technical assistance at schools in planning, implementing and monitoring of adolescent
package.
Support adolescents in accessing and utilizing health and nutrition services from nearby health
facilities with Adolescents Friendly Health Services (AFHS).
Ensure IFA Compliance among adolescent girls in schools
Provide necessary support to schools, communities and health facilities in case of necessities as
mandated by the project and or organization.
R2. Coordination and Liaison
Coordinate with district level stakeholders, Municipalities, SMC/ PTA, School Teachers, and
Health Facilities for effective implementation of adolescent package.
Coordinate with district Suaahara team, Implementing partners, and with other organizations
working with adolescents for resource leverage and synergy building.
Carryout and coordinate with field supervisors, CNVs/ CWVs to plan monitoring visits, attend
review and reflection meetings at schools.

JOB SUMMARY
The Maternal Newborn Child Health (MNCH) & Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) Officer is

the Health Services component and GESI integration across project scope of work. The technical
support will be required also in designing package and implementation of MNCH activities, collect &

with District Health Office, NGO partner, government line agencies, and other stakeholders in the
district for smooth operation of project activities. S/he will manage health services and GESI
component of SUAAHARA II Project in the district and play a key role in providing technical support to
counterpart D/PHO, consortium partners and the implementing partner NGO in close coordination
with project team. The position is based in Palpa with additional responsibilities of Syangja.

Support Program Coordinator to prepare project level AIP, Quarterly plan, monthly plan & detail budget of interventions under CARE Nepal’s SoW esp. the SRMH and GESI components.
Support the team to follow program guidelines, curriculums, protocols of health service & GESI components, ensure quality implementation of training, review meetings, and follow up after trainings, orientations & workshops/programs at district to community level.
Develop integrated/joint plan (monthly, quarterly & contingency) and facilitate to implement in close coordination with DHO, consortium partners and the implementing partner and staff.
