I. Product description

OHC3T-02 is a heavy duty, highly accurate gas/ oxy torch height controller designed for use with high performance automated gas/oxy cutting systems.This controller allows the system to maintain proper torch height regardless of variations in the material, of flatness of the cutting bed. This version was designed to work with Mach3 software.

Control accuracy: +/-0.1mm

Distance to workpiece surface: 0 to 30mm

Indicator leds to shows different state of OHC

Inputs to Mach3 software are UP, DOWN, ARC_OK

Can work with plasma power < 100A.

Anti-collision function

Complete with a controller, lifter and all interconnect cablles.

III. Operation of the torch height controller OHC3T-02

a. Signals sumary of OHC3T-02 OHC3T-02 operation based on 4 signals, 1 input signal and 3 output signals One input signal is: - Start/Stop signal (START/STOP SIGNAL), active low (GND_COM) This signal from the controler of CNC software to start and stop a cutting process.

b. How OHC3T-02 works

- When a command received from the CNC to start cutting, the OHC3T-02

will enable and start send signals to Mach3 software via three output (UP,

DOWN, ARC_OR). User can config these signals on Mach3 to control Z axis

motor.

- When a command received from the CNC to stop cutting, the OHC3T-02

unit will stop and don’t send signals to Mach3 software.

Belong to the active level of your breakout board that signal +VDC will apply

+5VDC or +24VDC

Output UP, DOWN is the same connect with ARC_OK. Three signals will

connect to three inputs in breakout board, and user have to config these signals on

Mach3 software.

One variable resistor on operation panel (HEIGHT VR):

HEIGHT VR: It is used to adjust cutting torch height during auto mode.

Height increases when it is turned clockwise.

Six indicator (POWER, PULSE, HEIGHT, AUTO, DISCONNECT,

COLLISION)

POWER LED: Turn on when have power supply

AUTO/MANUAL LED: Turn on when changing to auto mode

UP LED: Turn on when motor of Z axis move up

DOWN LED: Turn on when motor of Z axis move down

ARC OK LED: Turn on when OHC enable motor of Z axis move.

COLISION & DISCONNECT LED: Turn on when cable is disconnected or

sensor ring collision happens. In collision mode, torch would keeplifting up

until collision disappears.

VII. Operation with Mach3 software:

To integrate OHC3T-02 with Mach3 software, user need to config some

parameters in software.
