Puspose of the Sanhua QuickFinder software is to make calcualtions of Sanhua products according various User conditions, however Sanhua declines any responsibility for the wrong product selection made by customer with this tool. For proper selection of final component User is responsible to take into consideration and respect

- Local legislation/certification requirenments and availability of necessary certificates for desired products

- Product application limits according to Sanhua official documentation (Datasheets, Installation Instructions, Drawings, etc)

1 INSTALLATION Double click on the QuickFinder.exe. Immediately on the screen will appear the following initial window (Fig.1). In the Initial Window, you can choose the language, then click on the arrow to proceed to the next window until the software is installed completely. If you need to change the software installation path, please click the “Change” button in the installation window2.

2 Languages Click on the “Languages” button present in the menu bar will appear a drop-down menu where it is possible to change the language used in the present moment by the software, as shown in Figure 3. Now there are two languages: English and Chinese.

3 Fluid Thermodynamic and Transport Properties Database The QuickFinder requires Refprop, a fluid thermodynamics and transmission properties database developed by NIST. After uploading Refprop (Fluid Thermodynamic and Transport Properties) Database following figure 4, click the “Refprop.dll Path” in the options menu bar, and then find the installation folder of refprop in the pop-up dialog box, and select the file refprp64.dll (if you use the 32-bit operating system, please select the other file Refprop.dll), as shown in Fig.5.

3 PRODUCT TYPE SELECTION WINDOW This software provides a simple and efficient way to select the proper sanhua products for your application. The following product categories are included in the list: a) Solenoid Valves b) Thermostatic Expansion Valves c) Electronic Expansion Valves d) Four Ways Reversing Valves e) Ball Valves f) Check Valves g) Sight Glasses h) Filter Dryer i) Service Valve The “Product List Window” (Fig.6) presents on a series of product pictures. Click on the product picture can login to the product series details window(Fig.7), and click on the picture button that represents the requested family of products, and can login the Product Selection Window(Fig.8).

4.1 Input the condition parameters

In the Condition Frame(Fig.9), we input the basic condition information, as follow: a. Refrigerant Type b. Requested Cooling Capacity c. Evaporating Temperature

d. Condensing Temperature e. Super-Heating f. Sub-Cooling g. Pressure Drop (ΔP): Described the Pressure drop (in bar) under the set

conditions. if the exhaust temperature cann’t be checked this tool will predicts the exhaust temperature based on the input parameters, and the relevant parameters are calculated according to the exhaust temperature.

4.2 Select the position of the valve.

Click on the Pos.A, Pos.C or Pos.D to select the position of the valve as (Fig.10). and then click on the Search button, we can get the valve model in the table1(Fig.11). And Choose a connection in the table2(Fig.12), choose the coil by the table3(Fig.13).

4.3 The selection for CBVT

For CBVT series ball valve, when the input condition is supercritical condition, the condenser pressure Pk is also a necessary parameter to select the product, besides the condenser temperature! At this time, the condensing temperature Tk is the outlet temperature of the condenser, where the condensing pressure Pk is the high pressure !

5 Export the product selection list. Clicking on the “File”-“Export PDF” You can login the export file settings window(Fig.12). Input the parameters and click on the save button, then determine the export path of the file and save the name, as follow Fig.15.

5 Other function In the Option menu bar, you can set the custom units, such as American units, International common units, and you can reset the units according to habits.

The meaning of the position in the software is shown in Fig.18,

Other condition settings as follow Fig.19, ➢ Invalid superheat The invalid superheat is equal to the difference between the temperature of compressor suction port (t2) and the temperature of valve inlet on the evaporator outlet pipe (t1),that is t2-t1. The default setting is 0, It can also be resetted based on the actual condition. ➢ The temperature difference between condenser inlet and compressor exhaust The temperature drop at condenser inlet is equal to the difference between the temperature of condenser inlet (T4) and the temperature of compressor exhaust (T3), that is t3-t4, which is 0 by default. The setting can also be modified according to the actual condition. ➢ Buffer coefficient for pressure drop across valve This coefficient is used to relax the "allowable pressure drop limit" and increase the optional range of the product, which is 20% by default. The change of this value will not affect the recommended results, thermal expansion valve and electronic expansion valve.
