• We need to create folders where we will save the work we do in this unit.
1. Open your student drive
2. Find your Year 7 ICT folder
3. Create another folder called Spreadsheets
Lets create our folders!
To create a new folder:
• Click in a BLANK SPACE
• Click New Folder
All work for this unit
should be saved in the
Spreadsheets folder

Task 1 - A brief history of
spreadsheets
Group Activity
• Get into groups of 4 (with the people nearest to you)
• Use the cards provided to create a timeline of spreadsheets:
Timeline should be in order from earliest year to most recent
Information cards should be matched to the correct year
Each group will start with 50 points
and for every incorrect timeline
entry they will lose 10. The team
with the most points left are the
winners!
