2. Planning a Meeting Listen to the following dialogue. Circle any words you hear from the previous section Martin: John, Mr. Davies has asked me to plan the agenda for our meeting with Stanton Industries. Have you got any ideas that could help me? John: Sure, the first thing an agenda has to cover is when and where the meeting is going to be held. Martin: OK, its on Thursday at 3 p.m. John: Great. Next, you need to know who will be the chairperson, and who the other participants will be. Martin: That makes sense. What do I need to say about the topic of the meeting? John: In the agenda, you need to list all of the topics for discussion. You need to include some information about each topic as well. Martin: Is that all? John: No, you also need to write down who will be taking the minutes of the meeting. Do you have any special guests? Martin: Yes, Jeff Stanton is coming to the meeting. John: Then you should also make sure you leave time to welcome him. Mr. Davies can do that as part of his opening remarks.
