SIZE OF THE INDUSTRY INDUSTRY TRENDS

There are about 3000 ventures, 500 large and about 300 small/medium sized enterprises in the lighting equipment industry.

The domestic market size of lighting equipment industry is 2.44 billion dollars according to data from 2014.

About 573 Million dollars worth of lighting products were imported in 2014.

Urban transformation, restoration and increase of use in residential and non-residential buildings and outdoor lighting equipment.

Turning to energy efficiency and high energy saving lighting equipment.

It is estimated that 75% of the products in the domestic market will consist of LED lights and energy saving bulbs by 2020.

Turkish lighting industry is estimated to grow about 6% to 10% each year.

Urban transformation, increasing use in residential and non-residential buildings and increasing outdoor lighting application.

Works conducted for efficient use of energy and directives applicable for this purpose create new opportunities.
