THE START OF A NEW KIWANIS YEAR

I would like to share a story with you folks that I shared at our District

Convention. It’s called “THE DAFFODIL PRINCIPLE”. When I read this

story, I found that it was a great inspiration for me.

One day a daughter took her mother to see a daffodil garden. Not knowing

what to expect, she road along on a gravel road and then hiked up into the

mountain. When she turned the corner, her breath was taken away with the

beautiful sight before her eyes. It looked like someone had taken a great vat of

colors and poured it over the mountain slopes. The flowers were planted in

majestic, swirling patterns, great ribbons and swaths of deep orange, creamy

white, lemon yellow, salmon pink, saffron, and butter yellow. There were 5

acres of these flowers.

While leaving they found a sign on a house on the property. It was entitled

“Answers to the Questions I Know You Are Asking”. The first answer was a

simple one. “50,000 bulbs” it read.

The second answer was, “One at a time, by one woman, two hands, two feet,

and one brain,”

The third answer was, “Began in 1958”.

For the Mother that moment was a life-changing experience. More than 40

years ago, a woman she had never met, decided to change the world in which

she lived in, one bulb at a time, year after year.

I do hope you find this story an inspiration for you also. So many times, I

think “If only I had started earlier…If only…If only, what I could have

accomplished by now. It’s time to get rid of the “If only” regrets and start now

to move toward our goals and desires one step at a time. Learning to Love the

doing and learning to use the accumulation of time. When we multiply tiny

pieces of time with small increments a daily effort, we too will find we can

accomplish magnificent things for the Children we serve.

Let’s All Have A Great Kiwanis Year,

Governor Barbara Mullins

UTAH – IDAHO DISTRICT

The Utah-Idaho District came into existence as of

December 16 of the same year. By mutual agreement, ratified

by the International Board, the panhandle of Idaho consisting

of 10 counties north of the Salmon River was added to the

Pacific Northwest District in July of 1925. The Utah-Idaho

District’s first convention was in Salt Lake City on

December 16, 1920.

At that session, Herbert Van Damn, Jr. was elected governor

at a convention in his home city. The first club in the district

was Salt Lake City, completed October 10, 1918. The second

club was Pocatello, Idaho, on August 5, 1920, and the third

club was Boise, Idaho on August 10, 1920.

THE OBJECTS OF KIWANIS

The six permanent Objects of Kiwanis International were

approved by Kiwanis club delegates at the 1924

Convention in Denver, Colorado. Through the

succeeding decades, they have remained unchanged.

Object 1 - To give primacy to the human and spiritual

rather than to the material values of life.

Object 2 - To encourage the daily living of the Golden

Rule in all human relationships.

Object 3 - To promote the adoption and the application of

higher social, business, and professional standards.

Object 4 - To develop, by precept and example, a more

intelligent, aggressive, and serviceable citizenship.

Object 5 - To provide, through Kiwanis clubs, a practical

means to form enduring friendships, to render altruistic

service, and to build better communities.

Object 6 - To cooperate in creating and maintaining that

sound public opinion and high idealism which make

possible the increase of righteousness, justice, patriotism,

and goodwill

THE KIWANIS MISSION

Kiwanis empowers communities to improve the world by

making lasting differences in the lives of children.

THE KIWANIS VISION

Kiwanis will be a positive influence in communities

worldwide – so that one day, all children will wake up in

communities that believe in them, nurture them and

provide the support they need to thrive.

Chad Bunn

2018 – 2019 Utah – Idaho Kiwanis District Vice-Governor

Fellow Kiwanians,

By way of introduction, my name is Chad Bunn. On

August 10th, at our last Annual District Convention, I

was elected as Vice Governor of our Utah\Idaho

District. I am honored, humbled, and feel it a great

privilege.

I joined the Spanish Fork Utah Kiwanis Club, in 2001.

Since then, I have served two terms as Club President,

and two terms as Division 10 Lieutenant Governor and

am currently serving as the Chairman of the District

Foundation.

I was born and raised in Richmond Utah, a small farming community in

Northern Utah. I attended and graduated from Sky View High School and

Brigham Young University. I am married to the former Lorie Petersen. We have

been married 32 years. We have 2 Daughters, Elisha and McKella, a Son-In-

Law, Patrick Rhoades and a Grand Daughter, Josie.

I am very passionate about Kiwanis. By being a member, there are few things

that I have been blessed to learn from it over the years.

• Kiwanis has made me more concerned about my Community.

• Kiwanis has helped me to become a better Person and Leader.

• Kiwanis has helped me to become a better Husband and Father.

Kiwanis has done so much for me and now I am so excited to serve you, the

members of our Utah\Idaho District, and look forward to giving back.

Larry Hunter

2018 – 2019 Utah – Idaho District Immediate Past Governor

Thanks for the Memories

That is the line that the venerable comedian Bob Hope used to end his shows. I

use it now to thank all of you for your support during my year as Governor. In

particular I am grateful to my wife, Iris, for her support, encouragement and

inspired help. I could not have served without her. She has always had my back

during my various service opportunities.

I do not want to name others individually, since I will either forget someone or I

would have to stretch the truth to say everyone contributed. But those of you

who moved the agenda of Kiwanis forward within your particular stewardship

know who you are and have been rewarded for your service. As they say, the

reward of a good life is a good life. You have my sincere thanks.

Is the District better now than a year ago? Probably not, but progress is

measured person by person and club by club and hopefully many of you are

better persons now than in 2017. If not, we can look forward to self-

improvement as we move forward. Best wishes to all of you

Larry Hunter

Immediate Past Governor, Utah-Idaho District

INCLUDED IN THIS ISSUE

Traditionally, the first issue of each Kiwanis year of the U & I Kiwanian includes the District Roster which contains

information on who is in the different District leadership positions and their contact information. It also included

information on each club in the district. This issue is no different, except you may notice some changes this year.

Approved during the annual District Convention were some changes to the District’s Divisions. Several of the Utah

Districts were impacted. One division was also eliminated.

On September 19th – 21st, 4 people from Kiwanis International (including the 2017 – 2018 International President were

in the Salt Lake City and Utah County areas working on organizing two new clubs (one in Salt Lake County and one in

Utah County). The Kiwanis Club of North Utah County was organized as a result of these efforts. Work began to

organize a club to replace the one that folded a few years ago in the Midvale, Utah area. As a result of additional efforts

that took place February 10 – 13, 2019. The Kiwanis Club of the Canyons was organized on February 13, 2019. Both

are in Division 1 and are included in the roster.

service organizations in the world.

“Protect America offers home security systems that align with the needs of

Kiwanis members,” said Scott Fleming, CEO of Protect America. “Kiwanis

members, who actively volunteer in their communities, deserve the peace of

mind that comes with knowing their most valuable assets are protected while

they are helping those most in need in their hometowns.”

Kiwanis International, which has more than 8,300 clubs for adults around

the world, has more than 353,000 adult members. Club members work on service

projects that help kids in their communities and in communities around the

world.

“Kids need Kiwanis, and our club members spend many hours each week

on service projects, at fundraising events and at club meetings,” said Stan

Soderstrom, executive director of Kiwanis International, headquartered in

Indianapolis, Ind. “We believe this partnership with Protect America will provide

a great benefit at a great price to our members.”

The partner benefit will be available to Kiwanis members in the United

States and North America. The security system’s wireless technology allows

homeowners to download apps to their smart phones, giving them control and

access to the protection system.

MAKE YOUR SIGNATURE PROJECT

MEMBERSHIP/PARTNERSHIP FOCUSED

Service is at the heart of all we do in Kiwanis, so signature service projects are

the perfect way to expose outsiders and potential club members to our mission

and give them a taste of Kiwanis. Signature projects are also a great way to keep

current club members engaged and happy. In addition, they give clubs an

opportunity to reach out to other groups, nonprofits and companies and form

partnerships.

Membership:

One way to make a signature project membership focused is to think about all

the various people and groups you’d like to attract to your project and your club.

Additionally, think about all the various people and groups that might be

naturally attracted to your project. Example: Your club wants to be known for an

annual “science is fun” fair. So, start by thinking about the age groups you want

to attract and ways you might get them involved. Who do their lives intersect

with—teachers, parents, grandparents, coaches, tutors, friends from other clubs?

What aspects could you add to your fair that would make it a great experience for

these people too? Can you incentivize bringing guests in some way?

Partnerships:

Next think about local and regional companies that use science and hire

scientists. Would they benefit from making a great first impression on children

whom they might one day wish to hire or on people who might buy their

products? Are there science-based clubs like 4-H that might want to be involved?

If your club secures funding from these corporate partners, be sure to include

signage to recognize their support.

Another way to keep a project membership focused is to provide take-away

materials and membership forms somewhere at the event and to staff that area

with your most outgoing members.

YOUTH PROTECTION https://www.kiwanis.org/clubs/member-resources/training/risk-

management/youth-protection

There are more than 300,000 members of all ages involved in Kiwanis youth

programs. Almost all Kiwanis clubs sponsor a Service Leadership Project (SLP)

club and do projects with youth. When we work with and mentor youth during

projects and activities, their care and welfare are being entrusted to us.

It might be hard to believe that a troubling incident involving a youth and/or club

member(s) could happen in any club or community. But there are countless

examples in all places, with all types of youth service organizations. Every

member has to know how to protect the youth with whom we interact and

ourselves.

Kiwanians in particular have good reason to act with the highest standards. As

the premier provider of youth service clubs and programs, we need to hold

ourselves and our fellow members to the highest standards of conduct and

awareness.

These resources outline Kiwanis’ policies related to working with youth and

provide training materials to implement a training at your club, division or

district event (Visit the above webpage for the links to get these resources):

YOUTH PROTECTION HOTLINE

Nothing is more important than the well-being of those we serve. To help

Kiwanians protect youth, Kiwanis International has opened a hotline to report a

troubling incident involving a youth and/or club member. The hotline is

available in two ways:

Phone: 1-800-KIWANIS, ext. 298

Email: [email protected]

In 2014, the Kiwanis International Board of Trustees approved the addition of

Section 9 to Article VIII of the organization’s bylaws—providing direction to

clubs regarding “depraved or unacceptable behavior in relation to youth or

children.” One new requirement was for a Kiwanis club to report such behavior,

and such a club member, to the proper authorities and to Kiwanis International.

With the new hotline, Kiwanis is helping ensure that members have a way to do

so promptly.

What kinds of behavior should be reported?

Documented and confirmed inappropriate touching

Documented and confirmed inappropriate sexual or bullying conversations

Documented and confirmed behavior that would be considered contributing to

the delinquency of a minor (such as alcohol or drugs)

A felony conviction involving children or youth

It might be hard to believe that such an incident involving a youth or a club

member could happen in any club or community. But there are countless

examples among all types of youth service organizations. That’s why Kiwanis

International provides club members with information and resources regarding

youth protection. Find these resources and links to key information at

Kiwanis.org/YouthProtection.

KIWANIS EDUCATION

Kiwanis International provides Kiwanis education for both the club

level and the Division/District Level. To access it online go to

https://www.kiwanis.org/clubs/member-resources/training

Since it is at the beginning of a new Kiwanis year, below is listed the training that

is available for club leaders:

Club members nominate and elect the club officers and board members who have

the talent and determination to guide the club through the year.

A club's board of directors is composed of elected directors and club officers.

Most of the business of the club is handled by the board of directors. The board

determines the policies and activities of the club, approves the budget and bills to

be paid, gives counsel to committees and handles general management of the

club.

Each officer position has a set of responsibilities and resources to guide them.

Kiwanis International requires club presidents and secretaries complete Club

Leadership Education to ensure that club officers are armed with the tools they

need to succeed.

This leadership guide (https://www.kiwanis.org/docs/default-

source/training/training/guide-leadership-entire-manual-pdf)

contains useful information for a variety of division and club leaders. Every

Kiwanis club secretary, president and lieutenant governor receives a copy. If

other club leaders could use the information in this guide, please feel free to

share.

WHAT IS SERVICE LEADERSHIP?

Service Leadership is the powerful force that occurs once a person discovers their

heart to serve, answers their call to lead, and summons their courage to engage.

Heart to Serve + Call to Lead + Courage to Engage = Service Leadership

Our Service Leadership Programs are designed to inspire students, as well as

adults who live with disabilities, to become engaged members of their

communities who work to solve problems and help others through service.

HEART TO SERVE

Service Leadership Programs provide opportunities for individuals to discover

their heart to serve and realize that serving others is not just something they do,

but it is their way of life. The service club experience helps members accept their

own ability to make a difference, enhances their knowledge of their own passions

and convictions, and develops their ability to empathize with those in need in

their communities.

Page 8: U & I KIWANIAN · Convention. It’s called “THE DAFFODIL PRINCIPLE”. When I read this story, I found that it was a great inspiration for me. CAR One day a daughter took her mother

PAGE 8

WHAT IS SERVICE LEADERSHIP? (Continued)

CALL TO LEAD

Service Leadership Programs help members answer their call to lead. Every

person has leadership potential and these programs provide a forum for

individuals to unlock theirs. Someone with a call to lead decides to step forward

when the easier choice might be to stand still. The service club experience helps

members accept their own identity as a leader, enhances their knowledge of

leadership and develops their ability to transform an idea into purposeful action.

COURAGE TO ENGAGE

Service Leadership Programs are excellent forums for members to summon the

courage to engage and decide to live a life of collaboration, not isolation. More

than ever before, young people need to develop the capacity to effectively

interact with others face-to-face. The service club experience helps members

recognize collaboration as a key to success, enhances their knowledge of how to

build collaborations to address community needs and develops their ability to

build strong human connections through conversation.

Kiwanis Club of Westlake

Press Release

The Kiwanis Club of Westlake is like many in our U&I District, small but mighty!

In the past two years we have had seven of our very active founding members move away. While we struggle to attract

new members, we maintain a high dedication with our remaining members to carry out the projects of our club.

The Westlake Kiwanians support a variety of projects, some of which other clubs in our district also support. We give

out the Hope of America Awards to two graduating sixth graders from each sixth-grade class in 20 elementary schools in

Lehi, Saratoga Springs and Eagle Mountain. Last year we gave out 156 awards. This is a big project and requires

organization and co-ordination on the part of all our members.

We are also involved with Reading is Fundamental. We donate funds to the Mountainland Headstart and our members

go there three times a year to read and wrap the books for the children to take home. We also have members who go to

Food and Care Coalition once a month and help feed the homeless in the Provo area.

Last year we sponsored two new Key clubs. Lehi High School and Sky Ridge High Schools along with our existing club

at Westlake High School have vibrant clubs serving their school communities. We awarded three $500 scholarships to

graduates last June. We are hoping to add a club at the new high school when it opens in Eagle Mountain. We have also

supported students at Westlake High who participate in HOBY.

One of our most rewarding activities, Weird Science, was started by our resident geek Larry Whiting. Larry also acts as

our treasurer. We have purchased science equipment to use for demonstrations and hands on fun. Larry coordinated with

science teachers in the fifth and sixth grade to help reinforce the curriculum. We go in with the equipment at the end of a

unit and the kids get to work with circuits, magnets, plasma balls, Van de Graaf generators and other tools to reinforce

what they learned while having fun. We also take our water balloon catapults to city activities during the summer. They

are always a hit. The only drawback seems to be because we are small, we have to be creative in our scheduling as

demand for this activity rises.

Another project we are excited about is one at Horizon School. This is the area school for children with special needs. It

was brought to the attention of one of our members that the students in wheelchairs needed shade on the playground. We

are now gathering information so that we can make a donation to fill this vital need for those children.

As you can see, we are like so many of our clubs. We remain viable by being flexible. This has allowed us to continue to

serve our communities in a meaningful way.

Submitted by Robin DePalma, President of the Kiwanis Club of Westlake

Poly Lat, 2018 – 2019 Kiwanis International President

Your votes count: Support inclusiveness. Protect kids.

February 18, 2019

Dear Kiwanis leader,

Every person can serve their community. Every person can make a positive difference in the lives of others. It’s what we, as Kiwanians, have long believed.

The Board of Trustees asks delegates to codify that belief into our organization’s bylaws and pass the amendment put forth by the Kiwanis Club of East Geauga (Ohio, USA) at the 2019 Kiwanis International Convention at the Walt Disney World® Resort in June.

For 95 years — since 1924 — Kiwanis members have lived by a set of rules called the Objects of Kiwanis. The Third Object specifically states Kiwanis members will promote the adoption and application of higher social, business and professional standards. The amendment proposed by the club supports that. It reads:

Kiwanis clubs shall not discriminate based upon race, color, creed, national origin, gender, age or sexual orientation when considering membership or during any of their activities or operations and shall conduct business in compliance with local nondiscrimination laws.

This statement and belief are not new. What would be new is the formal adoption of the principle into our governing documents. We have never been silent on the topic of discrimination. Now, it’s time for us to be able to point to our dedication to inclusivity and our belief that all people can make a positive difference in the lives of children, no matter their race, color, creed, national origin, gender, age or sexual orientation.

In 2008, delegates adopted a resolution that encourages and empowers clubs to create environments that develop and nurture mutual respect for all and to celebrate the inclusiveness of all Kiwanis members. This year, the board asks you to take that commitment one step farther and approve this amendment to our bylaws.

At the business session, we’ll also be voting upon a resolution that demonstrates something we all believe: all children deserve to be safe. In 1915, when Kiwanis started, the members helped an immigrant boy named Walter. Walter’s father had abandoned him in the care of social services. The first Kiwanis members looked out for him and made sure he had what he needed to thrive. This year, the board is asking you to stand with our forefathers and approve this resolution. It reads:

Whereas, The Kiwanis motto is Serving the Children of the World; and

Whereas, The Kiwanis defining statement includes the phrase, “improving the world one child and one community at a time”; and

Whereas, The Fifth Object of Kiwanis is: “To provide, through Kiwanis clubs, a practical means … to build better communities”; and

Whereas, The Sixth Object of Kiwanis is: “To cooperate in creating and maintaining that sound public opinion and high idealism which make possible the increase of righteousness, justice, patriotism, and goodwill”; therefore,

Resolved, that Kiwanis International stands against violence, neglect, and abuse directed toward children.

Our unwavering mission of serving the children of the world will never change. It’s a principle held dear to us since the founders of this organization helped Walter thrive, prosper and grow. There are many Walters who still need our help today.

Now is the time to pass both of these proposals.

Your brother in Kiwanis,

Florencio "Poly" Lat 2018-19 President

Dan McDaniels, President of Nampa Babe Ruth baseball, spoke to the

Kiwanis Club of Nampa. Dan reported this youth baseball/softball program

involved roughly 500 of Nampa’s youth in 2017. He said 2018 should reach

even more. The program is for boys and girls, ages 4 – 16. This high quality

program is funded through registration fees, community fundraisers, and

sponsorships from local businesses and individuals. Nampa Babe Ruth is a

non-profit organization (501 C3). The Kiwanis Club of Nampa was happy to

be able to present a check to this organization as it matches our mission of

supporting youth in our community.

Representing the Idaho Center for Advanced Technology, Career &

Technical Education (CTE), the Assistant Director Clay Long spoke to the

Kiwanis Club of Nampa. Clay described the Nampa School District CTE

mission as to deliver high-quality, industry-driven career training to students

of the Nampa Scholl District. He also explained the different departments

and areas of study which include Ag and Natural Resources, Business

Administration, Engineering Technology Education, Health Professions, and

Skilled and Technical Sciences. Also discussed was funding sources as well

as the many Program, Teacher, and Staff Awards. All well-deserved as in

2017, out of 359 concentrator students, 100% graduated from high school.

The Kiwanis Club of Nampa was happy to have as a guest speaker Harlan Accola, Reverse

Mortgage Director, with Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation. Mr. Accola is based in

Wisconsin and is a Certified Reverse Mortgage Professional. He spoke to the group with regard

to Reverse Mortgage’s and how they can properly be used as a retirement funding tool. He

gave an informative presentation and answered questions from the floor. His presentation

focused on providing information and dispelling some misunderstandings of the reverse

mortgage.

Jama Bowers, Quality Control Manager for Materne – GoGo Squeeze Applesauce, spoke to the

Kiwanis Club of Nampa today. She explained that since the plant went into production in

January 2015, they have seen tremendous growth and success. They now employ over 200 in

Archie Stradley, Jr.

1928 - 2018

On September 2, 2018, our community of Caldwell lost one of its most committed and caring

citizens, Archie Stradley, Jr. He passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 2, 2018 just a

week following his 90th birthday.

Archie was born August 24, 1928 to Archie and Susie McCloud Stradley in Caldwell, Idaho.

He was raised and educated in Caldwell graduating from Caldwell High School in 1946.

Archie married Virginia Hall on June 8, 1948. They made their home in Caldwell and had

two sons, Nick and Craig.

Archie joined the US Army on January 22, 1952 and proudly served his country until his

Honorable Discharge on January 22, 1954. He came home to his young family and began

working for Les Summers at Summers Office Supply.

Archie was a loyal and devoted employee to Les and after 44 years of working together they remained dear friends. After

his “retirement” he went to work as an Ambassador and Funeral Assistant for Dakan Funeral Chapel, a position that he

thoroughly enjoyed for the past 20 years; and in his spare time, Archie was renowned for repairing clocks. To say that

Archie was involved in his community of Caldwell is truly an understatement. He served on Caldwell Salvation Army

board in 1973; was honored by The Idaho Statesman as a “Portrait of a Distinguished Citizen” in 1978; received the

Community Involvement Award by Caldwell Mayor Al McCluskey in 1983; was presented the American Institute of

Public Service Jefferson Award by Idaho Governor Cecil Andrus in 1991; was honored by Idaho State School &

Hospital for “Devoted Service to Handicapped” in 1992; was awarded “Outstanding Volunteer” by Caldwell Chamber of

Commerce in 1994; was honored as a “Distinguished Alumni of Caldwell High School” in 1994; was KTVB’s “Sevens

Hero” in July

of 2001; and was presented the Caldwell Lifetime Achievement Award by Mayor Garrett Nancolas in January of 2006.

Archie joined the Caldwell Kiwanis Club in 1954 and held “Perfect Attendance” for over 62 years. He was named

“Kiwanian of the Year” in 1974. He visited as many other clubs as he was able, sharing their fellowship with any

Kiwanian that could join him for lunch and always bringing a joke or two.

Archie joined the Caldwell Elks Lodge in 1965 and received the Elk of the Year Award for 1968. He served as Treasurer

for 51 years, was Chairman of Caldwell Elks Lodge Scout Troops for 44 years with 68 Eagle Scouts honored in the past

33 years. Archie was honored with Elks Grand Lodge Commendation Awards in 1996 and 1998, was awarded Caldwell

Elks Lodge “Outstanding Member” in 1998, “Outstanding Citizen of the Year” in 2000, and the Grand Lodge

“Distinguished Citizen Award” that same year. Archie was in charge of the Caldwell Elks Home Care Equipment Loan

Program for 53 years, loaning wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, bath benches, etc. at NO CHARGE for it was “Elkdom at

Work”. In 2006, he was presented a plaque for the “Wall of Honor” in the Lodge and was honored by Sage

Community Resources with the “Dr. Roy Watson Award for Voluntary Service in Assistive Device Lending Program”.

Archie was patriotic to the core. He loved his country as much as his hometown of Caldwell and was Chairman of the

Caldwell Elks Annual Veterans Day Ceremony held every year on November 11th 11:00 a.m.

But of all of Archie’s volunteering, the gift of service that he held most dear was being Caldwell’s Santa Claus. He

began visiting family homes during the Christmas season 44 years ago and continued those same annual visits for

multiple generations. Every fall he would get his Santa suit cleaned and prepare for his visits to over 50 homes, schools,

and

businesses to listen carefully to over 2000 children’s Christmas wishes during the month of December. The Caldwell

Fire Department and Chamber of Commerce recently honored Archie for serving 30 years as their Santa Claus in the

Annual Christmas Parade and Open House and he was also given the Men in Top Tier Award in 2014 on behalf of

Advocates

Against Family Violence as a Thank You for the difference he made in the lives of children in our community.

Archie was deeply honored by the acknowledgements that he received over the years, not because of the recognition, but

because he believed in giving to his community. He was a man of integrity, honor, commitment, and kindness. He had a

wonderful sense of humor and always had a few jokes to share. Archie also knew that the love and support of his wife

Virginia, who passed away in 2008 just two months short of their 60th anniversary, helped make him the man that he

was. They enjoyed raising their boys together, attending community events, dancing, playing cards, traveling, and

spending time with their children, grandchildren, and many dear friends. To say that Archie will be missed, again is truly

an

understatement.

Archie is survived by his sons, Nick (Beverly) Stradley of KY and Craig (Linda) Stradley of Caldwell; 5 grandchildren,

Joshua Stradley and Jennifer (Danny) Torres all of Caldwell, Abigail (Matt) Ewing and Melissa Stradley all of WA and

Kimberly (Russell) Elliott of TX; 7 great-grandchildren; a sister, Bonnie (Gene) Storm of WA; and numerous nieces and

nephews.

Memorials may be made in Archie’s honor to Caldwell Elks Home Care Equipment Loan Program, 1015 N Kimball

Ave, Caldwell, ID 83605; or Caldwell Elks Scout Troop 276, 1015 N Kimball Ave, Caldwell, ID 83605; or Kiwanis
