Chaos Reigns in St. Paul SchoolsS

    S. P, M,

become madhouses. Sudens atack eachers. Sudens

atack each oher. Teachers are hrea-

ened. One eacher has a secre signal or

her “good” sudens o use, or ear o le-

    ing in hese ou-o-conrol monsers.

And sadly, his chaos is sel-induced—

    and oally avoidable.

Wha happened in S. Paul? The

    Federal Jusice Deparmen says he

schools in Minneapolis and S. Paul are

racist. This is because black sudens are disciplined and sus-

pended a higher raes han Caucasians and Asians. The Jusice

Deparmen has accused he 2,300 majoriy whie eachers in

Minneapolis o sysemic racism and has hreaened prosecuion

unless he raes o suspension equal he proporion o sudens

    in he schools.

Because hese school disrics don’ have he money o figh

he ederally unded Jusice Deparmen, hey are submiting

and doing wha he Jusice Deparmen says. In S. Paul’s case,

ha means adoping he educaional and discipline sandards o

an organizaion called Pacific Educaional Group (). I is based

ou o San Francisco, Caliornia, which probably gives you a good

idea wha his group is all abou.

’s main purpose seems o be o sell he concep o vicim

izaion. I claims ha he American educaion sysem—which

radiionally has been run by whies (alhough ha is no he case

    oday)—is racis oward black sudens.

To solve his supposed “racism” and help black sudens

achieve, believes ha school curricula should be cusomized

o mee he culural specificaions o black sudens. This basi

cally means lowering academic sandards. also rejecs he

concep o using suspensions or expulsions o discipline black

    sudens.

Afer Pacific Educaional Group ook over, i sared radically

changing he ways schools are run. Special-needs sudens (vio

len sudens and ones wih oher behavioral issues) were pu

back ino regular classrooms. Suden suspensions were replaced

by “ime ous.” School officials sared orgiving or ignoring vio

    lence and oher unaccepable behavior.

So you can imagine he resul.

Wihou law, wihou discipline, wihou consequences, S.

Paul classrooms descended ino pandemonium. A big baskeball

player head-locked a emale eacher and hip-ossed her o he

ground. He was given a wo-day vacaion. She, poenially a spi-

    nal injury.

And, oh—axpayers orked ou $3 million o o urn heir

classrooms ino World Wresling Federaion arenas.

Advocaes say ha i sudens ge suspended, hey will urn ocrime and end up in jail. Bu does doing away wih suspensions

and dumbing down curriculum change ha? I seems prety

ridiculous o believe ha by sopping penalies, sudens will

become less likely o commi inracions.

On he conrary, keeping desrucive sudens in school is sim-

ilar o purposely puting roten apples back in he box. The su-

dens who wan an educaion lose heir opporuniy—and ofen

ge bullied and bea up—while he borderline sudens, who

quickly realize here are no penalies or heir acions, join he

    roublemakers.

Back in November, ormer Minneapolis Superinenden Ber-

nadeia Johnson announced ha black sudens would no lon-

ger be suspended or expelled or he same violaions as whiesand Asians. Because black sudens in Minneapolis schools are

10 imes more likely han whie and Asian sudens o be sus-

pended, any proposed suspension would be personally reviewed

by Johnson and she would decide i he suden really should

be expelled—which mean ha unless ha suden pracically

killed someone, hey would say in he classroom.

As I asked a he ime in “Minneapolis Principals No Allowed

o Suspend Black Sudens, Only Whie Ones”: “Does remov

ing sudens rom he consequences o heir acions make hem

more or less likely o hink hey are special and ha he law

doesn’ apply o hem? Would i make hem more or less likely

o reuse o ge ou o he road and walk on he sidewalk when

asked by an officer? Would i make hem more or less likely o

hink hey can rob a convenience sore wihou consequences?

Tha hey can shoplif and hen accuse law enorcemen officerso rying o ‘Michael Brown’ hem when simply asked o produce

    a receip.

“Boh Michael Brown and Eric Garner would be alive oday i

hey jus complied wih police officers’ direcions. Had hey no

el ha he law didn’ apply o hem (by robbing a sore and reus

ing o sop sree-vending cigaretes) hey would boh be alive. All

hey had o say was ‘Yes, sir’ and ollow insrucions.”

Where here is no law, chaos reigns. There is no reedom

Wha we are seeing in he schools o Minneapolis and S. Paul is

he same hing we saw in Ferguson and Balimore. Everyone is a

victim—and it’s enforcing the law that is the problem.

Turning a blind eye o crime doesn’ make i go away. As Trum

pet  edior in chie Gerald Flurry wroe in No Freedom WithoutLaw , “God’s law brings us he ulimae, mos wonderul reedom

o all. I proecs our amilies. I proecs our children. I proecs

us rom all he evil in his world.” Read he bookle o find ou

more abou he beauy o law and how i can solve he social prob

    lems we are acing oday.

a Unied Naions Inernaional Aomic Energy Agency ()

repor, over he same ime period Iran’s enriched uranium sock-

pile has also undergone an increase.

The repor claims ha in he las year and a hal Iran’s sock-

pile o enriched uranium has grown by 20 percen.

The repor flies in he ace o Washingon’s claim ha he

sockpile had been reduced or desroyed. In early March, Whie

House Press Secreary Josh Earnes saed, “[W]e’ve acually suc-

ceeded in no jus haling Iran’s progress as i relaes o heir

nuclear program bu acually rolling i back in several key areas,

including reducing and eliminaing heir sockpile o highly

    enriched uranium.”

Ye, i anyhing, Iran has rolled  forward. When he Whie

House said he sockpile was gone, i merely mean ha a prom-

ise o eliminae he uranium exised. Bu ime and ime again,

Iran has proven ha is word is worhless.

Iran hasn’ sopped is enrichmen, nor has i any plans o

remove i i a deal is signed. And in all likelihood, Iran has no

inenion o haling is nuclear program—no oday, omorrow

or afer a deal is signed.

In Trumpet  managing edior Joel Hilliker and conribuor

Aaron Hudson’s laes aricle, “Presiden Obama’s Remarkable

Deense o he Iran Nuclear Deal,” hey wroe: “Fifeen years o

aions, peace deals or living alongside Israel. I i were, negoia

ions would have concluded years ago and Weserners would be

sipping piña coladas in ouris resors along he Persian Gul.”

Iran’s expanding nuclear sockpile is jus one more proo o is

Look Out—Iran and Saudi Arabia Are Shifting Toward the HardlineWar Is Boring | June 5

    A  , [I S

Leader] Ayaollah Ali Khamenei … old army commanders o

closely ollow Islamic religious regulaions. …

Tha doesn’ sound unusual … or an Islamic heocracy. Bu

i’s slighly odd, because deending he revoluion is normally he

job o he Islamic Revoluionary Guards Corps, or . I’s no somuch a job or he — which is Iran’s regular army. …

[I is] ineresing ha Khamenei is urging he regular army o

ake on a more Islamic philosophy. …

In addiion o arguing ha he army mus commi o Islam’s

miliary regulaions, Khamenei pressed ha he army should ol-

    low he Surat Al’Anfal, Quran 8:60. …

“In effect, Khamenei is announcing that not only the , but

also the regular army should be considered forces for the defense,

if not propagation of religion,” [said he U.S. Army’s Foreign Mili-

    ary Sudies Office].

Laer in April, Khamenei spoke o commanders o Iran’s para-

miliary Basij and police orces. He warned agains un-Islamic

aciviies spreading in he counry, such as wealhy young peopledriving around in ashionable cars and atending illegal paries. …

Khamenei’s speeches could mark he beginning o a shif back

oward more hardline policies—or an ideological hardening o

he miliary as Iran fighs proxy wars in Iraq and Syria.

A similar process seems o already be underway in Saudi Ara

bia. King Salman … has embarked on a war in Yemen. I’s a radical

deparure or Saudi Arabia’s oreign policy, which has ofen aken

a backsea o larger players such as he Unied Saes.No any more.

A home, repors rom Riyadh suges a hardening o social

and culural laws — such as new resricions on colored gowns or

women. Shops ha sold gowns in colors oher han black have

recenly seen heir goods seized by he religious police.

There’s a logic o hese new resricions in a eudal monarchy

in he middle o an exploding region. Hardline policies are ofen

    a reacion o uncertainty. …

Then here’s he poenial rapprochemen beween he Unied

Saes and Iran — a large, highly populaed and educaed sae by

regional sandards. Saudi elies ear ha Tehran may use cooling

relaions wih Washingon o expand is influence more broadly.

Bu Saudi Arabia is playing he same game. In Syria, Riyadhhas backed and armed he rebel Islamic Fron, who is fighing o

overhrow he Iran-backed dicaor Bashar Assad. …

     Tehran’s Siamese TwinsNOW | June 10

    “[I] ,

wha we and he Syrian miliary leadership are cur-

renly preparing,” Qassem Suleimani, commander o he IranianRevoluionary Guards’ Quds Force, reporedly saed rom Syria

las week. Suleimani’s commens were par o an Iranian pro-

paganda bliz, which included saemens by oher Iranian offi-

cials affirming commimen o he Assad regime, and a flurry o

repors abou Iran’s inenion o send Iraqi Shiie fighers, and

possibly Iranian roops, o figh in Syria.

The Iranian move comes in response o severe losses ha he

Assad regime has recenly suffered on he batlefield. Analyss

are spli over wha o make o hese losses. On one side sand

hose who are predicing he nearing end o he Assad regime. On

he oher are hose who are more opimisic abou he regime’s

chances. The ruh lies beween hese wo. The Iranians are pur-

suing Plan B: securing a proecorae in wesern Syria, an area

coniguous wih he erriory in Lebanon conrolled by Tehran’s

    clien, Hezbollah.

Suleimani’s grandiose claims o an imminen “surprise” aside,

he Iranians’ primary objecive is no o reverse he losses su-

ered by Assad. Raher, i is abou rerenchmen. Repors o he

Assad regime’s manpower problems are now as numerous as hey

are credible. Publicizing he imminen arrival o housands o

soldiers and miliiamen rom ouside Syria only underscores he

acue manpower problem in he Iranian camp. …

Despie he calls by Hassan Nasrallah, he leader o Hezbollah,

or oal mobilizaion o he Lebanese Shiies, here has been no

sugesion ha he new orce will conain a Hezbollah conin

gen. Clearly, he organizaion is already sreched oo hin. …[Wha is] ar more imporan o Tehran han he inclusion o

say, Aleppo, is he mainenance o erriorial coniguiy wih Hez

    bollah-conrolled Lebanon.

In he eyes o Tehran, Hezbollah and he Assad regime are

Siamese wins sharing vial organs. Separaing hem rom each

oher will resul in he deah o boh. …

Wha his means, in sum, is ha he deense o he capial and

he criical poins o he regime enclave is now almos enirely in

he hands o he Iranians and heir miliias—who are also under

severe pressure in Iraq, where even wih he aid o he U.S. Air

Force hey are hard pressed o roll back he Islamic Sae. Their

abiliy o expand much more beyond he enclave’s perimeer is

    dubious.

All o his raises an acue quesion abou American oreign

policy. Is his really he righ momen o provide Iran wih a mas

sive cash inusion? The Iranian sysem is under srain. Wouldn’

i make more sense or he Unied Saes o exacerbae he srain

    raher han relieve i?

Insead, he Obama adminisraion is helping susain he Ira

    nian regional projec.

as wih he “euro-drone”—are aimed a achieving more indepen-

Wih is decision in avor o , Berlin is pursuing is

o purchasing modernized U.S. Pario bateries, offers

Berlin he chance o produce and urher develop modern sen-

sor echnology in Germany. Las year, Deense Miniser von derLeyen declared his o be he “key echnology.” The German gov-

ernmen is aking considerable risks in expanding German-Eu-

ropean auonomy vis-à-vis he U.S.A. in he arms indusry. Ray-

heon’s Pario has been field-esed, while ’ developmen

remains quie risky. I guaranees, however, an “auonomous

securiy policy,” according o deense exper Florian Hahn, .

The effors o creae an arms indusry ha is as indepen-

den as possible rom he U.S.A., is anoher reason or he recen

“weapons capable.” The Bundeswehr specifically demands hacomba drones be procured …. “Europe’s” perspecive mus be o

have is own drones—independenly rom he Unied Saes, von

der Leyen declared. … Two more EU naions, Spain and Poland

    have already joined he projec.

While Berlin is expanding is miliary-echnological auonomy

vis-à-vis he Unied Saes, i is simulaneously reinorcing he con

solidaion o he European arms indusries. For example, he ank

gender Tipping Poin: America’s nex civil righs ronier.”

Ye policymakers and he media are doing no avors eiher o

he public or he ransgendered by reaing heir conusions as a

righ in need o deending raher han as a menal disorder ha

    deserves undersanding, reamen and prevenion.

This inensely el sense o being ransgendered consiues a

menal disorder in wo respecs. The firs is ha he idea o sex

misalignmen is simply misaken—i does no correspond wih

physical realiy. The second is ha i can lead o grim psycholog-ical oucomes.

The ransgendered suffer a disorder o “assumpion” like hose

in oher disorders amiliar o psychiariss. … Oher kinds o dis-

ordered assumpions are held by hose who suffer rom anorexia

and bulimia nervosa, where he assumpion ha depars rom

physical realiy is he belie by he dangerously hin ha hey are

    overweigh. …

For he ransgendered, his argumen holds ha one’s eeling

o “gender” is a conscious, subjecive sense ha, being in one’s

mind, canno be quesioned by ohers. … Wih his argumen,

advocaes or he ransgendered have persuaded several saes—

including Caliornia, New Jersey and Massachusets—o pass

laws barring psychiariss, even wih parenal permission, romsriving o resore naural gender eelings o a ransgender minor.

Tha governmen can inrude ino parens’ righs o seek help in

guiding heir children indicaes how powerul hese advocaes

    have become. …

You won’ hear i rom hose championing ransgender equal-

iy, bu conrolled and ollow-up sudies reveal undamenal prob-

lems wih his movemen. When children who repored ransgen-

der eelings were racked wihou medical or surgical reamen

a boh Vanderbil Universiy and London’s Porman Clinic, 70 o

80 percen o hem sponaneously los hose eelings. …

We a Johns Hopkins Universiy—which in he 1960s was

he firs American medical cener o venure ino “sex-reassign-

men surgery”—launched a sudy in he 1970s comparing heoucomes o ransgendered people who had he surgery wih he

oucomes o hose who did no. Mos o he surgically reaed

paiens described hemselves as “saisfied” by he resuls, bu

heir subsequen psycho-social adjusmens were no beter han

hose who didn’ have he surgery. And so a Hopkins we sopped

doing sex-reassignmen surgery, since producing a “saisfied” bu

sill roubled paien seemed an inadequae reason or surgically

    ampuaing normal organs.

I now appears ha our long-ago decision was a wise one. A

2011 sudy a he Karolinska Insiue in Sweden produced he

mos illuminaing resuls ye regarding he ransgendered, evi

dence ha should give advocaes pause. The long-erm sudy—up

    o 30 years—ollowed 324 people who had sex-reassignmen sur

gery. The sudy revealed ha beginning abou 10 years afer hav-

ing he surgery, he ransgendered began o experience increas

ing menal difficulies. Mos shockingly, heir suicide moraliy

rose almos 20-old above he comparable nonransgender pop

ulaion. This disurbing resul has as ye no explanaion …. Thehigh suicide rae cerainly challenges he surgery prescripion. …

Anoher subgroup consiss o young men and women suscep

ible o sugesion rom “everyhing is normal” sex educaion

amplified by Inerne cha groups. These are he ransgender

subjecs mos like anorexia nervosa paiens: They become per

suaded ha seeking a drasic physical change will banish heir

psycho-social problems. “Diversiy” counselors in heir schools

raher like cul leaders, may encourage hese young people o dis

ance hemselves rom heir amilies and offer advice on rebu

ing argumens agains having ransgender surgery.

Treamens here mus begin wih removing he young person

rom he sugesive environmen and offering a counermessage

in amily herapy. Then here is he subgroup o very young, ofen prepubescen

children who noice disinc sex roles in he culure and, exploring

how hey fi in, begin imiaing he opposie sex. Misguided doc

ors a medical ceners including Boson’s Children’s Hospial have

begun rying o rea his behavior by adminisering pubery-de

laying hormones o render laer sex-change surgeries less oner

ous—even hough he drugs sun he children’s growh and risk

causing seriliy. Given ha close o 80 percen o such children

would abandon heir conusion and grow naurally ino adul lie i

unreaed, hese medical inervenions come close o child abuse

A beter way o help hese children: wih devoed parening.

A he hear o he problem is conusion over he naure o he

ransgendered. “Sex change” is biologically impossible. Peoplewho undergo sex-reassignmen surgery do no change rom men

o women or vice versa. Raher, hey become eminized men or

    masculinized women.

Claiming ha his is a civil-righs mater and encouraging sur

gical inervenion is in realiy o collaborae wih and promoe a

    menal disorder.
