Fire Alarm System Limitations
A fire alarm system—typically made up of
smoke detectors, heat detectors, manual pull
stations, audible warning devices, and a fire
alarm control panel with remote notification
capability—can provide early warning of a
developing fire. Such a system, however,
does not assure protection against property
damage or loss of life resulting from a fire.
The Manufacturer recommends that smoke
and/or heat detectors be located throughout
a protected premise following the
recommendations of the National Fire
Protection Association Standard 72 (NFPA
72), EN54 Standards, and manufacturer’s
recommendations.
Smoke detectors may not sense fire where
smoke cannot reach the detectors such as in
chimneys, in or behind walls, on roofs, or on
the other side of closed doors. Smoke
detectors also may not sense a fire on
another level or floor of a building. A
second-floor detector, for example, may not
sense a first-floor or basement fire.
Particles of combustion or “smoke” from a
developing fire may not reach the sensing
chambers of smoke detectors because:
• Barriers such as closed or partially closed
doors, walls, or chimneys may inhibit particle
or smoke flow.
• Smoke particles may become “cold,”
stratify, and not reach the ceiling or upper
walls where detectors are located.
• Smoke particles may be blown away from
detectors by air outlets.
• Smoke particles may be drawn into air
returns before reaching the detector. The
amount of “smoke” present may be
insufficient to alarm smoke detectors.
Smoke detectors are designed to alarm at
various levels of smoke density. If such
density levels are not created by developing
fire at the location of detectors, the detectors
will not go into alarm.
Heat detectors do not sense particles of
combustion and alarm only when heat on
their sensors increases at a predetermined
rate or reaches a predetermined level. Rate-
of-rise heat detectors may be subject to
reduced sensitivity over time for this reason,
the rate-of-rise feature of each detector
should be tested at least once per year by a
qualified fire protection specialist.
Audible warning devices such as bells may
not alert people if these devices are located
on the other side of closed or partly open
doors or are located on another floor of a
building. Any warning device may fail to alert
people with a disability or those who have
recently consumed drugs, alcohol or
medication. Please note that:
• Studies have shown that certain people,
even when they hear a fire alarm signal, do
not respond or comprehend the meaning of
the signal. It is the property owner's
responsibility to conduct fire drills and other
training exercise to make people aware of
fire alarm signals and instruct them on the
proper reaction to alarm signals.
A fire alarm system will not operate without
any Electrical power. If AC power fails, the
system will operate from standby batteries
only for a specified time and only if the
batteries have been properly maintained and
replaced regularly.
The most common cause of fire alarm
malfunction is inadequate maintenance. To
keep the entire fire alarm system in excellent
working order, ongoing maintenance is
required as per the manufacturer's
recommendations, and UL and NFPA
standards and EN54 standards. At a
minimum, the requirements of NFPA 72 or

EN54 shall be followed. Environments with
large amounts of dust, dirt or high air
velocity require more frequent maintenance.
A maintenance agreement should be
arranged through the local manufacturer's
representative. Maintenance should be
scheduled monthly or as required by National
and/or local fire codes and should be
performed by authorized professional fire
alarm installers only. Adequate written
records of all inspections should be kept.
Installation Precautions
WARNING - Several different sources of
power can be connected to the fire alarm
control panel. Disconnect all sources of
power before servicing. Control unit and
associated equipment may be damaged by
removing and/or inserting cards, modules, or
interconnecting cables while the unit is
energized. Do not attempt to install, service,
or operate this unit until manuals are read
and understood.
CAUTION - System Re-acceptance Test after
Software Changes: To ensure proper system
operation, this product must be tested in
accordance with NFPA 72 after any
programming operation or change in site-
specific software. Reacceptance testing is
required after any change, addition or
deletion of system components, or after any
modification, repair or adjustment to system
hardware or wiring. All components, circuits,
system operations, or software functions
known to be affected by a change must be
100% tested.
This System meets NFPA & EN54
requirements for operation However, the
useful life of the system's standby batteries
and the electronic components may be
adversely affected by extreme temperature
ranges and humidity. Therefore, it is
recommended that this system and its
peripherals be installed in an environment
conditions specified.
Verify that wire sizes are adequate for all
initiating and indicating device loops.
Remove all electronic assemblies prior to any
drilling, filing, reaming, or punching of the
enclosure. When possible, make all cable
entries from the sides or rear. Before
making modifications, verify that they will
not interfere with battery, transformer, or
printed circuit board location.
This system contains static-sensitive
components. Always ground yourself with a
proper wrist strap before handling any
circuits so that static charges are removed
from the body. Use static suppressive
packaging to protect electronic assemblies
removed from the unit.
Like all solid state electronic devices, this
system may operate erratically or can be
damaged when subjected to lightning
induced transients. Due to such activity there
may be temporary degradation or damage
occurred. Although no system is completely
immune from lightning transients and
interference, proper grounding will reduce
susceptibility.
Follow the instructions in the installation,
operating, and programming manuals. These
instructions must be followed to avoid
damage to the control panel and associated
equipment. Fire Panel operation and
reliability is depend upon proper installation.

1. Introduction
1.1 Overview
Fire can have an enormous impact on any institution or company, so to protect from these kinds of
incidences, this system can be helpful. This TrueSafe Fire alarm System (TSFC) is specially
designed for fire indications, early warnings facility. TSFC-24-2/4 is India’s first IoT (Internet
of Things) based Conventional Fire Alarm Panel. The TSFC-24-2/4 provides reliable fire
detection, signalling and protection for commercial, industrial and institutional buildings, small
offices etc.
The panel includes local buzzer, LEDs for indications and with LCD display, keypad for manual
operation and configuration and cloud connectivity through WiFi. It is compatible with almost all
makes of smoke detectors and heat detectors that can continuously monitor for trouble and fire
condition as well as send their status on Fire Cloud.
A user friendly Android Mobile application is available for Fire and Fault notification from the TSFC
panel.

1.4.2 LED Indications
There are different LED indications given on front panel of TSFC panel to user to alert from different events
occurred. Name of events along with colour of corresponding LED with description are as follows.

1.4.3 LCD Indication
The 16 x 2 Large LCD display is used in TSFC panel to display different system fault status, zone fire status,
configuration menus & so on. The LCD is mainly used Fire indications and for the programming of the panel listed
as below.

1.4.4 Buzzer Indication
A buzzer provides separate and distinct sounds for Fire, Faults and Walk Test Fire.
• Fire: Continuous Buzzer ON.
• Fault: 1 sec ON and 5 sec OFF.
• Walk Test Fire: 1 sec ON and 1 sec OFF.
1.5 Components
EOL Resistor:
• 4.7K ohm 1 W Resistor is connected in parallel with each input zone for zone open/short/fire sensing purpose.
Hence 2 resistors are required for TSFC 24-2 & 4 resistors are require for TSFC24-4 model.
• 4.7K ohm 1 W Resistor is connected in parallel with NAC output

2. Installation
2.1 Installation Precaution
WARNING:
Do not attempt to install, service, or operate this unit, until this manual is read and understood. Do not connect
other equipment to this unit.
CAUTION:
This system works at 0° C to +50° C and at a relative humidity of 90 ±2% RH.
However, the useful life of the system's standby batteries and the electronic
components may be adversely affected by extreme temperature ranges and
humidity.
2.2 Mounting Details
Backside of the panel
• Place the panel in its mounting position and fix the panel to the wall using the slots of the four screws.
• Ensure the enclosure and the inner parts of the panel are given sufficient protection during installation.
• Enter all external cables via preformed knockouts located at Top of the panel.
• When the installation of all the cables has been completed, clean the interior of the enclosure ensuring all
masonry debris and drilling swords are removed.

2.3 Panel Wiring
The following diagram shows basic components of Fire Panel System. It consists of various smoke and heat
detectors, AC power source, Notification devices like siren or sounder, etc
WARNING:
Several different sources of power can be connected to this panel. Disconnect all sources of power before
servicing. The panel and associated equipment may be damaged by removing and / or inserting cards, modules
or inter connecting while this unit is energized.
Primary Power source (AC) and Earth Ground Connection:
AC Power connections are made inside the control panel cabinet. A separate Earth Ground connection must be
made to ensure the proper panel operation and lightening and transient protection.
Standby Power Source (Batteries):
Use one 24V/1.2Ah sealed lead acid type Battery. Observe polarity when connecting the battery. Connect the
battery to the provided cable. The battery charger is current - limited and capable of recharging sealed lead acid
type batteries up to 8Ah.

2.4 Maintenance
2.4.1 Walk Test
It is maintenance purpose mode. When any zone is set as a Walk test that time Walk Test LED starts blinking
according to zone. This mode is used to test smoke detector and siren but RAC is not released.
Walk Test Procedure
• First particular zone is set as Walk Test.
• Then give smoke to the sensor.
• The sensor will detect smoke and the NAC will be ON and LCD will display show fire to the particular zone.
• The sensor will reset automatically and will come back to normal condition.
• In this way multiple sensors in a single loop can be tested.
Note: Repeat Walk test after every 3 months.
2.4.2 Servicing
Following are the servicing check list of FSS panel. Maintenance / servicing is required twice a year for each panel.

2.4.3 Periodic inspection and test of system
For additional information on control panel faults, regular checking of the functionality of the control panel and fire
detection system by a person responsible for fire prevention in the company must ensure the availability of the fire
detection system. Perform the Supervisory & Walk test regularly.
Weekly Testing By The User
Ensure that all indicators are showing correctly.
Check that the internal buzzer are operating correctly.
LCD Display shows messages from the system.
Each week, choose different manual check points so that the manual check points in the building
are tested in rotation over a prolonged period.
Check all detectors and ensure that none are obstructed in any way. Enter results of tests into the
log book.
Quarterly Test
Perform Walk Test / Supervisory Test to check the healthy condition of all zones. After every 3-4
months Walk test must be carried out.
Annual Test
Additionally, test all detectors, check points and check for correct operation.
Every 2 - 3 Years
Clean smoke detectors to ensure correct operation and freedom from false alarms. Special equipment
is required for cleaning smoke detectors.
Every 4 years
Replace sealed lead acid batteries. If the operating temperature exceeds 25o C continuously, then the
battery may need to be replaced sooner.

Pre Check list for call:
Check mains supply of system.
Check supply voltage of panel.
Check panel operation on battery backup mode.
Check all Indicators are showing results as per action are taking place in the Panel. Mainly check out for the
system ON indicator is glowing.
LCD display shows messages, buzzer operates.
Check all the cables are connected in proper manner.
Smoke detectors can detect the smoke.
Perform Walk test to ensure all zone are healthy.
2.5 Do’s and Don’ts
2.5.1 Do’s
1. DO take responsibility for your fire systems
Taking responsibility means being proactive and intentional about managing the programme and knowing what it
takes to maintain a high level of reliability your fire systems.
2. DO understand how your fire system works
Do you know the difference between the Trouble signal and the Supervisory signal in your Fire Alarm system?
What’s the correct response to these different signals? What button should you press? It’s important that you find
ways to learn how the system operates so that you are prepared to interact with the equipment in the case of an
emergency. I encourage you to make an effort to understand how your particular fire systems are designed to
operate.
3. DO know the inspection, testing and maintenance requirements
Testing must be performed on a periodic basis to verify the functionality of the fire system including simulating the
events and conditions that are to be expected during an emergency situation. One must also remember those
maintenance tasks are necessary to keep the system in good operating condition. These tasks include both
periodic preventative maintenance activities and making the required repairs revealed by the inspection or testing
of the system components like DSPA, siren.
4. DO train your people
Certain people must receive varying degrees of training depending upon their role. Some must understand how to
operate the system so they can interact with the system when something happens. Others must simply be ready
to react appropriately when an event happens. If you decide that more training is needed, don’t forget to turn to
your fire system service provider for help.
5. DO pay attention to record keeping
There are several different types of records that are important to maintain. Every Fire Alarm System should have
what is called a “Record of Completion” document that is maintained up-to-date with any and all system changes

made over the life of the system. Other important records include built drawings, user manuals, written sequence
of operation and servicing charts.
2.5.2 Don’ts
1. DON’T ignore reoccurring problems
Some fire systems are plagued by reoccurring trouble conditions that just don’t seem to go away on their own.
Common intermittent troubles include ground faults, circuit problems, battery faults and device failures. An
experienced fire system service technician can track down the root cause of the problem and know how to make
the necessary repairs. Resist the temptation to ignore these problems because of their sporadic nature. You may
have a bigger problem than you think and your system may be rendered ineffective because of it.
2. DON’T let building occupants become apathetic to fire alarms
May be you have noticed this, but most people hesitate to respond when they hear the fire alarm evacuation
signals in a building. Unfortunately, most of us have experienced more than one “false alarm” from a fire system
in our lifetime and this has led many to be apathetic about evacuating. Facility Managers must do what they can to
avoid false alarms, but when they do happen take steps to make whatever changes are necessary to prevent them
in the future. When possible, inform occupants about the source of each false alarm in hopes of maintaining their
future confidence in the system.
3. DON’T cause an accidental discharge
Many facilities may have one or more spaces protected by an automatic fire extinguishing system. Unfortunately,
too many system owners have had to deal with an accidental discharge of a system. Facility Managers must take
steps to avoid this at all costs. Without question, the most common reason for a false discharge is human error.
It’s important to put in place and enforce procedures and policies that will minimize the chance for this sort of
error. The single biggest contributor to the prevention of accidental discharges is training the personnel who work
in and around these spaces.
4. DON’T allow unqualified personnel to service your fire system
Facilities Managers must ensure those who are performing these tasks are trained on the equipment they are
servicing. The person working on FSS unit, must have through knowledge of Fire Sprinkler, Fire Alarm and Special
Hazard Fire Suppression. Facility Managers must not hesitate to ask not only the service provider, but also the
specific technician about their level of experience in the type of work they are performing. The reliability of your
life safety and business continuity depends upon this person.
5. DON’T forget to consider the fire system when your facility changes
One thing is for certain, your building will eventually change and each time it does the Facility Manager must not
forget to evaluate the impact those changes will have on the fire systems protecting the building. Other types of
fire systems and components will no doubt be impacted including detector placement, notification appliance
location, sprinkler coverage and obstructions to manual pull stations. When you realize your building will be
undergoing a change, begin planning up-front for the necessary changes to the fire systems.

3. System Programming
The fire panel system is completely programmable at site with the help of panel keypad and LCD. It does not
require software skills OR any special software for Programming.
When panel is in normal state, the screen displays as below. Normal state means all zone of panel are in Enable
and panel is in fault free condiation.

To enter the programming mode, panel must be in normal condition as above. If any fault or alarm condition
exists, make sure that it is cleared and panel returns to normal condition. Users having Key lock passwords.
Without key lock password user cannot enter in MENU function. Factory default panel do not have any password if
user will enable “Auto Key Lock” function only that time panel will ask password. (Factory default password is
“1111”)
To enter into Programming mode do following steps,
1. Press MENU key, it will ask for password (If “Auto Key Lock” function is enable system will ask password)
2. Enter FOUR digit numeric password.
3. After entering the password user can access all MENU functions

3.1 Zone1
After entering in the Zone 1 menu, LCD displays as shown below.
Use LEFT and RIGHT keys to sub menu of ZONE 1 configuration. After changing the modes,
press ENTER key to save the changes.
Each zone can be configured for any one of the THREE modes namely,
1. ENABLE: This is default mode in which system scans the input signal from smoke detectors, heat
detectors, etc. If fire is detected, then system indicates alarm condition. If any zone is detected as open /
short, system indicates fault condition.
2. Walk Test: This mode is used for system walk test. Before walk test, the zone must be configured as
Walk Test mode. If fire alarm condition occurs, then the system indicates as a WT fire alarm. If any zone
is open / short, then system indicates WT OPEN/WT SHORT. (WT means Walk Test)
3. Disabled: This mode is used to disable the zone. The system does not scan the input signal from smoke
detectors, heat detectors, etc.
3.2 Zone 2
After entering in the Zone 2 menu, LCD displays as shown below.

press ENTER key to save the changes.

3. Disabled: This mode is used to disable the zone. The system does not scan the input signal from smoke

3.3 NAC
After entering in the NAC configuration menu, LCD will show below screen,
Use LEFT and RIGHT keys to ENABLE/DISABLE NAC output. After changing the mode,
press ENTER key to save the changes.
3.4 NAC Auto Silence
NAC auto silence feature is use for SILENCE siren automatically after completing pre define time. If NAC auto
silence feature is set as a DISABLE at that time SIREN will not OFF till panel RESET.
Use LEFT and RIGHT keys to ENABLE/DISABLE NAC output. After changing the mode,
press ENTER key to save the changes. By default it has set as a ENABLE mode. By default NAC Silence time
set as a 10 minutes and is not user editable.
3.5 Auto Key Lock
This function is use to LOCK panel keypad automatically after completion of Auto Key Lock timer. If this
menu is set as a DISABLE keypad auto lock timer will not work as well as panel keypad not lock. By default
it is set as a DISABLE.
Use LEFT and RIGHT keys to ENABLE/DISABLE Auto Key Lock function. After changing the
mode, press ENTER key to save the changes. Auto key lock timer is set as 3 minutes and is not user
editable.
3.6 Password Change
This function is use to SET keypad password. Without entering password user cannot enter the MENU
function. By default it is set as a “1111”.

If user want to change keypad password please follow below steps,
a. Press ENTER key
b. First enter OLD password
c. Enter new password and press ENTER for save new password.
3.7 WIFI Mode
This function provided with panel for monitoring fire system from any ware of the world. User can monitor
Fire panel status on their Android app. (Fire Cloud app). If user enable this mode at that time all panel
notifications are received to user on app. By default it is set as a DISABLE.
In normal mode WiFi LED is continue ON and if it is blinking means panel is searching network.
One RESET switch is also available in front panel of Fire panel. It is use to reset the OR Configuration of WiFi
module.
Use LEFT and RIGHT keys to ENABLE/DISABLE WIFI function. After changing the mode,
press ENTER key to save the changes.

4. System Operation
The following are the front panel of TSFC-24-2/4 panel,
4.1 Function keys
4.1.1 MENU key
Menu key is use as a multifunction key. Following are the uses of Menu key,

4.1.2 SILENCE key
SILENCE key is used to silence the NAC output, that is, whenever the NAC is ON, it can be turned OFF. The
system silencing operation is also user password protected.

4.1.3 RESET Key
RESET key is user password protected. System reset action is under user password protection. User can reset and
restart the system any time. Basically the zone fire condition is latched in the system, user can perform required
action for this condition. To recover the system from zone fire condition to zone normal condition, user must reset
the System, LCD displays as shown below.
4.1.4 Enter Key
This key use for save configuration changes as well as jump in to next menu function. Following are two main use
of this key for user,
a. Access the new menu
b. Saves configured data, mode or value of the system
4.2 Normal Mode Operation
This section explains the system behaviour under different conditions. The System continuously monitors for fire
and system faults in all modes of operation.
When system is power ON, System ON LED is continuously ON. LCD displays show below screen,
If panel mains is not available panel will sifted in battery mode as well as MAINS FAIL led will also glow for
notification to user.

4.2.1 Fire Condition
If any zone detects the fire, the system enters immediately into fire condition.
The System operation and LCD display for this condition is shown below. As well as respective LED will also glow.
• First one lines indicate Zones in Fire, 2nd line indicates type of event occurred in system like Fire or fault.

• The zone fire status is visually indicated by respective zone fire LED.
• Common Twin Fire LED turns ON.
• Internal buzzer produces steady sound for fire indication.
• NAC turns ON till system silence or reset action is carried out by user OR till silence time is not completed.
• The fixed TWO Fire output of the relay gets activated.
• Fire alarms latched and are not allowed to clear automatically.
• Timer for NAC Silence starts.
• If any zone is in Walk test mode, it exits the Walk test mode.
• FIRE notification send to the FIRE CLOUD app
4.2.2 Fault Condition
If system detects any fault, it immediately enters into fault condition. The system indicates fault visually and
audibly with distinctive indication than fire alarm(0.5Sec ON/OFF). NAC is not active, the fixed fault output relay
(PFC relay) is activated. The system is able to recognise faults in Zone circuit, NAC circuit, Mains fail, Battery
Low/cut, etc. The system faults are shown on LCD as shown below.

4.3 Factory Default
This function is specially use for default panel setting in factory default setting. If user want to delete all setting
please follow below step,
a. Press both LEFT and RIGHT keys at same time and ON/OFF mains supply of panel.
b. After power ON panel setting set as a Default setting.
4.4 Wi-Fi configuration
4.4.1 Overview
TrueSafe Alarm is a mobile application for Vighnaharta IoT enabled Wi-Fi based devices. The mobile application is
user friendly, provides audible alarm sound in Mobile Application for Alarm notifications as well as Fault
notifications with Cloud connectivity through Wi-Fi. The mobile application is compatible to Android (version 5.1
and above) and iOS (version 8.0 & above) and is available for download on Google Play Store and Apple store.
4.4.2 Salient Features
• Add & Remove Device Facility in mobile application.
• Alarm Audible sound for Alarm notifications.
• One device can be assigned to multiple users.
• Healthy/Alarm/Fault differentiation by different colors-

4.4.3 Application Installation & Usage Procedure
Note: - TrueSafe Alarm mobile application supports Android version 5.1 and above only and iOS 8.0 & above.
4.4.4 Registering with TrueSafe Alarm Cloud
1. Ensure that mobile data is enabled.
2. Install the application on mobile phone from Google Play Store or Apple Store, based on whether your mobile has Android or iOS.
3. Sign Up with a valid email id and a password of choice with the TrueSafe Cloud.

4. A confirmation email will be received from TrueSafe Cloud on the registered email id for verification. The
subject line will be “Almost There! Confirm Your TrueSafe Cloud Account”.
5. Open the email and click on “Click here to confirm your account” link to complete your verification.
4.4.5 Adding a device to the mobile application
1. Once the registration process is successfully completed, sign in with the email id and password.
2. For first time login, the home screen of the application will be blank since no devices are added by user.

3. Tap the ‘+’ icon to start the procedure to add a device to your app.
4. Ensure that the mobile is connected to the same Wi-Fi network to which you want to connect the TrueSafe device.
5. A screen showing scan QR code will appear. 6. The QR code is present in form of a sticker on the TrueSafe device that you want to add. Keep the actual
device in front of you and click on ‘Scan’ on the mobile.
7. A scanning window will appear on the mobile. Point the scanning window to the QR code on the device. 8. The QR code will be scanned automatically and the serial number of the TrueSafe device will be visible on
the screen. Press OK to continue.
9. A screen with heading “Connect to TrueSafe Device” will be visible. 10. Follow the instructions on the screen and press “Continue”.

11. A screen with heading “Configure TrueSafe Device” will appear.
12. It will detect the Wi-Fi SSID to which your mobile is connected.
13. Enter the password of the Wi-Fi network so that the device will connect to that network.
14. Press “Submit” to continue. 15. If the Wi-Fi password is correct and the Wi-Fi network has internet access, the device will get connected to
the internet. This can be verified by observing the blue LED on the front of the device.
16. If the blue LED on the front of the device becomes stable, it means that the TrueSafe device is connected to the internet.
17. At the same time, on the mobile application, the next screen of “Verify Registration” will appear.
18. Read and follow the instructions on the screen. If the blue LED has become stable, press the “Verify”
button to complete the device addition & registration process to the cloud. 19. A success message is displayed on the screen and the device appears on the dashboard of the mobile

4.4.6 Editing TrueSafe device details in mobile application
1. There are different device details that can be edited for different TrueSafe devices. This section describes the common details that can be edited.
2. When the added devices are connected to internet, they are shown as “Online”. 3. Tap on the device to access the editable fields for the device.
4. Press the “Click here to Change Device Name”. An editable field for changing device name appears.
5. Enter desired name for the device and press “Save”. 6. Press “Change Network Setting” to change the Wi-Fi network to which the device is connected.

7. Click on “CHANGE” if you want to change the network setting. A screen “Connect to TrueSafe Device” will appear.
8. Read the instructions and follow the steps to change the network to which the device is connected. 9. Click on “Click here to Remove Device” to remove the device from the applications device list.
10. Note that removing the device from mobile application does not remove the device from the cloud.
11. Click on “Click here to know the DOs and DONTs” to read about steps to be taken in case of alarm from
the device. An example for Fire Panel is shown above.
4.4.7 Alarms and Fault Notifications in mobile application
1. Whenever a TrueSafe device generates an alarm or a fault, it is notified to the user on the mobile
application through Push Notifications.
2. If there are unread alerts in the mobile applications, it is shown with a count on the bell icon on the dashboard.
3. The dashboard also shows the current status of the device like “System in Fire” or “System Healthy”.

4. Clicking on the bell icon of that device, takes the user to the Alert tab where the alerts are displayed.
5. The TrueSafe Cloud stores the most recent 20 alerts of each device. 6. The “Alarm” is shown in Red color, whereas the “Fault” is shown in Orange color. Refer below images.
4.4.8 Settings in mobile application
1. In the “SETTINGS” tab, the user can choose to enable or disable the “Alarm” sound using a radio button.
2. If enabled, the “Alarm” sound will be played whenever there is an “Alarm” notification from any of the device registered in the application.
3. “About Us” give the information about version number of the mobile application and the company
information. 4. User can log out from the mobile application if they do not wish to use the application. However, user can
log-in again at any time using their email id and password. 5. All the devices registered by the user using the mobile application will be visible to the user again after
log-in, provided the user has not removed those devices.

5 Frequently Asked Questions
1 After scanning the QR code for adding/registering a device, the blue LED on the does not become
stable. • Check whether your mobile is connected to the same Wi-Fi network to which you want to connect the
device. • If you are, check whether the Wi-Fi password you have entered is correct.
• If you have entered the correct Wi-Fi password, check whether the Wi-Fi network has internet connectivity.
• If your Wi-Fi network has internet connectivity, check whether the firewall of your network is not prohibiting the connection of the device to the TrueSafe Cloud.
• If you suspect the firewall, ask the network administrator to open the outgoing port 1883 of the Wi-Fi router to allow the device to communicate with the TrueSafe Cloud.
2 How can I identify whether my TrueSafe device is online or not? 1. Check on the mobile application whether the device is showing “Online” with green indication or “Offline”
with grey indication.
1. If the device is showing is “Offline”, there can be following reasons:
• Device is not ON. • Device is ON, but not connected to the network.
• Device is connected to the network but still shows “Offline”. 2. If device is not ON, switch ON the device, make it fault free and connect to desired Wi-Fi using the process
mentioned earlier in this document. 3. If the device is ON, and shows “Offline”, observe the blue LED on the device.
4. If the blue LED is fast blinking for an already connected device, it means it is not connected to the Wi-Fi.
5. In this case, check whether the Wi-Fi credentials (SSID or Password or both) have been changed. 6. If the Wi-Fi credentials are changed, connect the device to new Wi-Fi network using “Change Network
Setting” option in the mobile application. 7. If the blue LED is blinking approximately 5 seconds ON and 5 second OFF, it means it is connected to a Wi-
Fi network, but is trying to connect to the TrueSafe Cloud. 8. There can be following reasons for the device connected to Wi-Fi but not able to connect to the TrueSafe
Cloud: • No internet connection. Try checking the internet connection by browsing a website.
• Internet connection available, but firewall restricting the device to connect to the TrueSafe Cloud. In this case, ask the network administrator to open the outgoing port 1883 of the Wi-Fi router to
allow the device to communicate with the TrueSafe Cloud.
