Connectivity by giving We are living in a world that is just getting smaller and smaller, technological and cultural products and ideas make the process of connecting with the world a lot more easy and fun. Even if it is a hard process such as becoming a bone marrow donor or sending a coke across the world, you are with this trend of give and receiving a smile helping or getting others to get something good. It is about an act that before could have been hard or even impossible that today leads you to interactions between people. This trend is about these interactions and about doing well. We want to connect by giving. This trend shows that we are more eager of providing the world with something better and by ourselves, with an easy manner contribute and help people out how ever we can.

Connectivity by giving

We are living in a world that is just getting smaller and smaller, technological and cultural products and ideas make the process of connecting with the world a lot more easy and fun.

Nike Path + cheer on a friend.

The social network Path teamed up with Nike+ to add tech-enhanced and socialized fitness to your journal. Your path of your runs will then be posted on this social network where your friends will be able to see when you start your run, monitor you and encourage you with virtual cheering. You can also add sounds of real cheers.

A copywriter and teacher named Graham Douglas partnered up with Help Remedies to create a com-bination of a bandage and bone marrow registra-tion kit. It reduces the hassle of tests, hospital visits and registrations to those who are or when to become a donor. When you have a small cut you will with this prod-uct not only get a band aid but the option of simply swabbing your blood with a cotton tip and mail it off the DKMS the worlds largest bone marrow center.

Pinwheel

Connectivity by giving

Flickr and Hunch co founder Caterina Fake created this online venture where users can leave virtual notes pinned on a map. You can leave a note with a tip, a joke, a story, a memory, a photo or even a grocery list, place it on your location on the map and it is then there for others to discover and take part off.

Pinwheel Party in a box

Connectivity by giving

This was an idea that is based on Amanda Jane Jones, the creator, throwing a 30th birthday party and realizing that all the people she wanted to invite lived too far away to join, so she decided to send the party to them. In each package there are confetti, party straws, buttons, jellybeans, paper mustaches, party instructions. The idea is then that when you receive this party package, you should have the party using the ”party tools” and then send your friend a photo. This is now available for you to send to your friend that live too far away.

Coca cola- “Give the world a coke”- Re-brief project

Based on coca colas TV commercial ”let me buy the world a coke” came the idea to life for a modern audi-ence in the digital age. By apps, media ads and trough Google you can send a coke to one of the coca cola vending machines that are placed on various cities around the world. You can with your coke also send a message ex. ” Enjoy your coke”. When the coke then pops out in the vending machine and a person passing by and takes the coke will be recoded for you to see their reaction and the receiver can then send a thank you note back to you. Coke makes the world a little less big.

Record me

Connectivity by giving

Record me is a personalized note. You can with this device record your note or message, stick it on ex the refrigerator or a door for your friend or busy family members to then play and receive your message ”live”. It is a clever way to stay in touch and give away something nice.

” I rather listen to my son speak than decipher his scrawny note!”
