The Comtech Systems’ Transportable Communications Terminal Light (TCT) is a rapidly deployable troposcatter terminal on a single-axle trailer, operating in the 4.4 GHz to 5.0 GHz band. The TCT is completely self- contained with a three meter angle diversity antenna on a light tactical trailer (LTT) designed to be towed by a HMMVW or similar vehicle. Key features of the TCT include automated antenna pointing, a four-port angle diversity feed subsystem for quad diversity with only one antenna, 50 Mbps hot standby modem, quad diversity radio, and dual 500 W or 1000 W solid state power amplifiers (SSPA). The TCT employs Comtech’s advanced state-of-the-art 50 Mbps modems: the military CS67500A or the commercial CS67500. The modem’s advanced features include adaptive link power control and forward error correction (FEC) using Comtech’s specially developed Turbo Product Coding for tropo links. The modems are setup and monitored using either a front panel keypad and display or using a laptop computer. The modem chassis includes two complete modems in a hot standby configuration with automatic monitoring and switchover. Antenna pointing with the TCT is a simple, automated process. The TCT includes a GPS receiver and a flux gate compass that allows the antenna control unit (ACU) to calculate and then rotate the antenna to an initial azimuth and elevation pointing angle. The automated pointing capability enables link activation in less than one hour. Comtech’s innovative four-port angle diversity feed subsystem provides quad diversity operation with just one antenna, rather than two. Thus, rapid deployment and solid link performance with quad diversity can be obtained at significantly lower life cycle cost than traditional systems that rely on two antennas. www.comtechsystems.com TCT3000A TCT3000A Highlights 50 Mbps Data Rate 150km + Range Setup and Link Acquisition in Less than 1 Hour Less than 20ms Latency No Ongoing Costs for Data Transportable Communications Terminal - Light 1.407.854.1950 | www.comtechsystems.com | ISO 9001:2015 Certified © 2018, Comtech Telecommunications Corp. The Comtech Systems’ Transportable Communications Terminal Light (TCT) is a rapidly deployable troposcatter terminal on a single-axle trailer, operating in the 4.4 GHz to 5.0 GHz band. The TCT is completely self-contained with a three meter angle diversity antenna on a light tactical trailer (LTT) designed to be towed by a HMMVW or similar vehicle.
