Chapel House are a UK based, accredited, professional training and consultancy organisation with programmes, projects and packages available across the globe.

We currently offer accreditation from the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM), and in 2015 accreditation from the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) and the Institute of Supply Chain Management (IoSCM).

We work in close alliance with the University of York, delivering coaching, leadership and executive development courses.

In addition, we offer a full and comprehensive Training Needs Analysis service, a range of specialist programmes including courses for police and security and for those in education, including management in education and leaders in the classroom. We are also able to offer one-to-one Senior Executive Coaching by our internationally renowned team of highly qualified and experienced leadership coaches.

All of our short courses can be offered as one, two or three days duration, depending upon client needs and the depth required.

There are three mandatory units in this qualification, which you can take as a Certificate. The first unit, Understanding the skills, principles and practice of effective management coaching and mentoring aims to enable you to understand the role and contribution of coaching and mentoring, and build a business case. The second unit, Reviewing own ability as a management coach or mentor aims to give you the ability to critically review your own personal qualities, skills and competence.

For the Certificate, the third unit requires you demonstrate your ability to plan, deliver and review at least 20 hours of coaching and mentoring in your workplace.

They are ideal for those seeking to develop their expertise in internal or external supervision of strategic, leadership, business or management coaching within an organisation. These qualifications are a gateway to accreditation but are not a licence to practice.

Each qualification comprises three mandatory units, including ‘Understanding the Principles and Practice of Coaching Supervision in Organisations’ and ‘Reflecting on Your Own Ability to Perform Effectively as a Coaching Supervisor’.

Learners are then required to demonstrate their ability to plan, deliver and review coaching supervision with individual coaches and groups. For the Certificate, this comprises at least 30 hours of coaching supervision. For the Diploma, this is extended to 100 hours of coaching supervision, and there is an added focus on comparing and contrasting individual supervision relationships across different levels of complexity within an organisation. The 100 hours of coaching supervision for the Diploma qualification unit may include 30 hours that have been accredited as part of the Certificate qualification unit.

You can take this qualification as a concise Award, a broader Certificate or a comprehensive Diploma. The units in this qualification fall into seven broad areas. These are:

Level 7 Leadership and ManagementThese Level 7 vocational qualifications are designed for senior managers and leaders seeking to develop themselves as leaders and managers, who recognise they must satisfy various stakeholders and who want to invest in their own personal brand. They are looking to make the best use of resources, understand the need to innovate and optimise performance. They may also have to present arguments for change, construct business cases, lead change implementation and evaluate the impact of that change.

The Certificate in Leadership and Management consists of one, flexible, mandatory unit that allows the learner to identify and work on the areas of leadership and management development specific to their own work context and of particular interest and relevance.

The Diploma in Leadership and Management consists of two additional mandatory units. The first focuses on presenting arguments for change, constructing business cases and leading change implementation, the second on the creation and maintenance of high performance cultures. The Diploma is 60 credits is equivalent to a PG Certificate and one third of a Masters in most UK university business schools.

Level 5 Management ConsultancyThis qualification is designed for practising managers who want to start a career in management consultancy. It will also support working management consultants – improve your performance and ensure your experience is formally recognised.

You can take this qualification as an Award, or a more comprehensive Certificate. The single mandatory unit in the Award aims to give you a thorough understanding of the consultancy process. There are two more mandatory units in the Certificate, which looks at the role of the consultant in more detail. These units cover areas such as developing professional relationships, understanding legal requirements and working to ethical and professional codes.

Level 7 Award, Certificate and Diploma in Management ConsultancyThe Level 7 Award, Certificate and Diploma in Management Consultancy are designed for experienced management consultants, or new consultants seeking to develop their professional skills and understanding at a high level. They are aimed at individuals seeking to formalise and accredit their experience, and develop and refine their skills and knowledge. Learners will gain the skills they need to benchmark their practice against national standards, and learn cutting edge tools and techniques.

Learners can take this qualification as an Award, a broader Certificate or a comprehensive and extensive Diploma.

The Award comprises one mandatory unit. This covers demonstrating the ability to identify and develop key measures of performance and monitor and evaluate planned activity against these measures.

The Certificate includes two additional mandatory units. It focuses on managing and evaluating learners’ professional relationship with the client, and generating and evaluating the opinion of others through the appraisal process.

The Diploma includes six mandatory units and a choice of optional units – perfect to close skills gaps and tailor to individual development needs of each learner. It includes units that cover developing effective relationships with clients, providing the knowledge and methodology needed to solve client issues, identifying and managing risk, and working with the client to successfully develop commercial opportunities.
