Technical Skills

• The ability to use UVTS 2.0 to log visits

• The ability to provide UVTS 2.0 visit reports to an ADC or DC

“Visits”• The commissioner shall make at

least (6) physical visits to each assigned unit per year

• The commissioner shall make at least (6) significant contacts in addition to the (6) physical visits

• All visits & contacts must be logged with UVTS

Journey to Excellence• Unit Service per JTE:

– Unit “visits” are being made and are entered into the Unit Visit Tracking System (UVTS)

– A unit should expect a minimum of six commissioner visits/contacts per year

– Criteria for JTE may change from year to year.

– Adjustments in the requirements for this award may be necessary by the Council Commissioner to reflect these changes.

Performance• Performance Goal

– Identify a specific goal in a specific unit that will improve unit performance.

– Utilize the Annual Unit Self-Assessment tool• The goal should target improvement

– In at least one of the unit self-assessment target areas

• Action Plan– Provide a written plan approved and signed

by the unit leader
