New toolsWe’ve added new tools in response to requests from our customers, which allow you to perform new tests as quickly and easily as with the rest of the TopCAATs tools

Expenses Section ModuleRun up to 26 different tests on a listing of expense transactions from manual claim corporate credit card or purchasing card data. These tests focus mainly on looking for fraud by the claimant or purchaser

Quick Filter and Quick ExtractJust select a cell or multiple cells, in as many columns as you wish and TopCAATs will instantly apply filters to show the records that match the combination of values you have selected (Quick Filter), or extract them to a new worksheet (Quick Extract)

Number EvaluationThis incorporates searching for round numbers (e.g. 3,000,000, 24,000, 3,600) with new rounding base options, plus the ability to search for values ending ‘999’ or with a value of ‘0’ and extracts them to a set of new worksheets

Sequential InvoicesLook for invoices from a single supplier that have sequential invoice references - a great fraud and error detection test

Number CheckerLook within and compare 2 columns of numbers for data entry error, such as transposition or missing digits

New featuresWindows 8 and Excel 2013 compatibilityTopCAATs is now compatible with Microsoft’s latest versions of Excel and Windows

Even Better PerformanceWe have made a number of improvements to the way that Section Modules work to increase speed and allow you to analyse more than 1 million rows with ease. This includes our new large file mode which optimises processing when dealing with very large data files

MDY Date SupportYou can now enter dates in month-day-year format into any TopCAATs input form that asks for a date

New functionalityRandom SampleNow you can generate a random sample for sub-groups within your data. For example, if you have a list of transactions by user, you can select a sample of 10 from each user - this is sometimes referred to as ‘cluster sampling’

Exception ReportNow you can add a list of stored ‘specific dates’ to search for and extract, just like with the Section Modules. We’ve also added new criteria for blank and non-blank cells

Join 2 SheetsYou can now use ‘fuzzy logic’, with the Levenshtein method to match close but not exact matches between your two worksheets

Highlight ChangesWe’ve added the option to include a report that lists all of the changes between the source workbooks or worksheets, including both the old and new formulas and/or values

Comments and Dates ListsYou can now store multiple lists of comments and dates for use with the Specific Comments and Specific Dates tools, and recall whichever is most relavent to each test

Column StatisticsYou can now select which columns you wish to analyse and which statistical analysis you would like to perform on them. There are also new statistics for date fields including day of the week, month and year and you can drill down into the records that match these criteria
