Title I: School Improvement
Title I of the NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND Act of 2001 provides funds for
improving schools. The purpose of a school wide Title I program is to
ensure that all children have a fair, equal, and significant opportunity to
obtain a high-quality education and reach, at a minimum, proficiency on
challenging State academic achievement standards and state academic
assessments.
Enemy Swim Day School includes the following activities:

Title VII: Indian Education Formula Grant
The Indian Education Formula Grant (often referred to as Title VII) program provides funds to support local educational
agencies (LEAs) in their efforts to implement successful elementary and secondary school programs that serve Indian
students. The programs funded are to be based on challenging state content standards and state student performance
standards used for all students, and are designed to assist Indian students to meet those standards.
Enemy Swim Day School utilizes 100% of Title VII funds to provide Dakota Culture and Language Instruction for PreK-8th
grade students.
