NOVEMBER 2016 NEWSLETTER

Things are getting back to normal in the

office. Sheila has gotten the books straightened out and the audit needed for the Sheriff’s Department has been started.

I hope no one had any big problems with the power being out. Luck has it that only part of Timberlakes was without power. We are fed from two different systems on Agate. One from the west and one from the east, so that is why some will lose power and some will not. It just depends on where the break down is at.

I would like to say thank you to Colleen for the time she was President and the things that she got done while in office.

I would like to say thank you to Rebecca for her work as Office Manager.

And a big welcome to Sheila Hedlund our new Office Manager. She comes to us with over 25 years working in HOA office management, bookkeeping and water department experience.

I hope everyone has a nice set of Holidays in November and December.

Terry Hubbard President

We all survived the storm and did not lose many if any trees. Power was out and the backup systems worked just as they should. The guys monitored the system and had no problems.

We are done with the mowing and the equipment is put away for the year. There is a little clean up in the parks but that is normal for this time of the year.

We had to remove some trees from the parks. We will start installing new water meters

right after this reading and will be putting it on the reader board to inform you what divisions we are working in. We will be starting with Division 4 Lot 1 and go from there. Our main focus in the coming months will be getting the meters installed.

Terry Hubbard Water and Maintenance Director

I started working with Timberlake Community Club September 12, 2016. My experience to date has been wonderful! I would like thank the Board Members for the confidence in my abilities and the respect they have shown me.

I would also like to thank all of the Members who have come in since I have started here and given me a warm welcome.

Most of all I want to stress what an amazing crew you have at Timberlakes! Our Maintenance/Water team; Art, Larry and Marcus are the best in the business and have been an essential part of my getting to know the ins and outs of our Community and how it functions. MOST OF ALL I want to thank Angi! She has been a life saver and is one of the most wonderful people I have worked with in my 25+ years in the HOA business. We are all lucky to have her and I have seen how much our membership loves and appreciates her on a daily basis.

I would like to wish everyone a Happy Holiday Season and a very Happy New Year! Sheila Hedlund, Member Services Manager õõõõõõõõõõõõõõõõõõõõõ

Fall is here, my favorite time of the year. Football, back to school, candles, crock pots, fires and all those yummy holiday treats. I am very pleased to say the office is running GREAT! With a warm welcome, and a big thank you to our office manager Sheila. She is definitely in her element with her many years of experience. I am very happy to be working with her, so much has been accomplished already, and she is teaching me a lot. Also, thank you to all of you who brought us delicious fruit, and veggies from your gardens and your travels this past few months. I hope you all stay warm, and dry and we will see you at the M.P.C. Go HAWKS!!

Angi Bence, Member Services Assistant Fall is here and the kids are back in school. Our school supply drive was a HUGE success. The people of Timberlakes are very giving. Thank you again. We will be having a food drive starting November 21st and will run for 3 weeks. The food will be taken again to Pioneer School for distribution. The Activity Committee will not be meeting again until March 2017. But we already have a few things in the works for the new year.

Pancake and French Toast Breakfast Memorial Weekend

Arts and Crafts Fair June 3

Community Garage Sale in July

Picnic in the Park in August

We hope to have a few more activities besides the ones mentioned.

Until Next Year, we hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving and a Very Merry Christmas!

Catherine Hubbard Activity Committee President

Hello Members: Fall is definitely upon us. We have storm debris and roof gutters are getting clogged. Please be sure to do your maintenance, but BE CAREFUL! Roofs are also slippery. We don’t need anyone injured.

On the Covenants side, we’ve been able to clean up 9 properties, including rat abatement on a few of them. Most of the work has been accomplished without sending letters. I’ve found that just talking to people works best. Most people are very reasonable and acceptable of fixing the things that need it.

Our new program, Neighbors Helping Neighbors, has been taking off quite nicely. Recently we cut and split wood from trees that had to be removed from the green space. The wood is now stacked and will be available next year for those who have both a need and wood stoves.

In November, we’ll be answering the question, “Who has the best chili in Timberlakes?” We have a Chili Cookoff (complete with a trophy) scheduled for November 12. Check with the office for details on it and the registration form to enter your chili. Or give me a call on my covenants phone, (360) 503-3792, for information. Remember, Neighbors Helping Neighbors can always use you, no matter what shape you’re in. If all you can do is visit one of our homebound residents, that’s needed, too.

In mid-November, I will be starting our “Know Your HOA” classes. So, sign up and I’ll be getting in touch with you soon.

Please give me a call if you have any covenants questions. I’ll be happy to answer them.
