Through Ms Grace Chan (Year Head for P5 and P6) 24 March 2017 Dear Parents of P6 students, Below is an overview of the activities planned for Term 2 and the June holidays. 1. Sungei Buloh Wetlands Reserve Learning Journey (SBWR) The P6 students will be going on a Science learning journey to SBWR to learn more about the wildlife found in our own wetlands as well as to study how they have adapted to survive in their environment. This learning journey will take place during curriculum hours. Students can save and track their skills, interests, values, CCAs and achievements in the ePortfolio in the portal, save information about their favourite secondary schools and occupations, and begin to plan their next steps into secondary school and beyond. We strongly encourage parents and students to log into the website to explore educational pathways beyond PSLE.

  • 3. Math E-learning on MonsWorld

    MonsWorld is an online Math portal infused with fun games for primary school students. It features

    a comprehensive collection of multiple-choice questions, open-ended questions and problems sums

    as well as Math Olympiad questions. The MonsGuide function provides step-by-step solutions to

    guide students in solving questions they might encounter difficulties in.

    Parents can set weekly homework for their children by activating the Schedule Homework function.

    The system will personalise a weekly homework based on the learning needs of your child. Students

    earn virtual dollars and potions by learning new Math Skills in the portal. To earn extra potions,

    students can also compete in the numerous Math Races. The credits earned can be used to release

    their favourite monsters and grow their baby monsters to become supreme monsters!

  • 4. Semestral Assessment 1

    Please refer to Annex 1 for the SA1 topics and schedule. GEP students have been informed separately at the start of the year. We wish the Primary 6 students all the best in the coming examinations! 5. SA1 Oral Examinations

    The SA1 English Language and Mother Tongue oral examinations will be held after school. Please refer below for the schedule.

    Students will be dismissed 15 minutes earlier for lunch on their oral examination days, i.e. 12.45 pm on Monday and Tuesday, and 1.15 pm on Wednesday. Please make the necessary transport arrangements for your child/ward on the affected dates.

  • 6. NAPFA Test

    The 5 stations of the NAPFA test will be held after school. The 1.6 km run will be held during curriculum hours. A separate letter on the NAPHA test has been sent by the PE Department. Please refer to it for more information. 7. Parent-Teacher Meeting

    There will be a Parent-Teacher Meeting on Friday, 26 May 2017. More information will be provided closer to the date. 8. P6 Supplementary Classes (Mainstream) June Holidays

    Supplementary classes for all P6 students will be held in the first and last week of the June holidays. The dates of the lessons are as follows:
