i CTU Faculty Manual, Approved Per BOR Resolution Number 9, Series 2016 Foreword This Cebu Technological University Faculty Manual (CTUFM), as approved per Board of Regents (BOR) Resolution No. 9, s. 2016) is intended to equip the teachers with knowledge about the nature of their job. The faculty’s duties, responsibilities, benefits, privileges, and guidelines are embodied in this handbook. The contents are based on legal documents and references, such as Civil Service Laws and Circulars, Presidential Decrees, Republic Acts, Executive Orders, CHED Memoranda and Circulars, Cebu Technological University (CTU) Code, BOR Resolutions, and other lawful orders, jurisprudence, and decisions. The CTU faculty is expected to function in accordance with this manual during the period of their employment in the University. This is to serve as a guide for all CTU faculty members from the beginning of employment to the termination of their service. Service credits, leave credits, honoraria, and other allowances, travels for both domestic and international, and other policies, such as the Grievance Machinery, are covered in this manual. Every CTU faculty must read and follow the provisions and contents of this manual, in order to effectively and efficiently function in the areas of instruction, research, extension, and production.     Foreword

    This Cebu Technological University Faculty Manual (CTUFM), as approved per Board of Regents (BOR) Resolution No. 9, s. 2016) is intended to equip the teachers with knowledge about the nature of their job. The faculty’s duties, responsibilities, benefits, privileges, and guidelines are embodied in this handbook. The contents are based on legal documents and references, such as Civil Service Laws and Circulars, Presidential Decrees, Republic Acts, Executive Orders, CHED Memoranda and Circulars, Cebu Technological University (CTU) Code, BOR Resolutions, and other lawful orders, jurisprudence, and decisions.

    The CTU faculty is expected to function in accordance with this manual during the period of their employment in the University. This is to serve as a guide for all CTU faculty members from the beginning of employment to the termination of their service. Service credits, leave credits, honoraria, and other allowances, travels for both domestic and international, and other policies, such as the Grievance Machinery, are covered in this manual.

    CTU Vision, Mission, Goals, and Outcomes

    (Approved per BOR Resolution No. 62, s. 2015)

    Vision A premier multidisciplinary-technological university Mission (R. A. No. 9744, Sec. 2) The University shall primarily provide advanced professional and technical instruction for special purposes, advanced studies in industrial trade, agriculture, fishery, forestry, aeronautics and land-based programs, arts and sciences, health sciences, information technology, and other relevant fields of study. It shall also undertake research and extension services and provide progressive leadership in its areas of specialization.

    Goals The University shall produce scientifically and technologically oriented human capital equipped with appropriate knowledge, skill, and attitude. It shall likewise pursue relevant research, strengthen linkage with the industry, community, and other institutions, and maintain sustainable technology for the preservation of the environment. Outcomes
