What do possible outcomes mean?

Unequivocally positive: on track for tenure 3-year contract renewal

Unequivocally negative: tenure not possible, no desire to retain 1-year terminal contract and dismissal

Problematic but still possible: could make tenure with a change in direction, desire to retain in department 1-year contract with stipulations
