Pastoral Associate Search Committee The committee established by the Pastoral Council to fill the ministry position open as Sister Terry leaves for Georgia has completed its recommendation. Eleven applicants were considered and four were interviewed for the position. We are grateful for all who applied and wanted to serve at Saint Mark’s. The committee unanimously recommended
Sister Madeline Contorno, O.S.B., from Sacred Heart Monastery in Cullman for the position of Pastoral Associate. Sister Madeline, a native of Birmingham, living at Turtle Creek Apartments and a recent registered parishioner of Saint Mark, will begin her ministry with us starting on August 1st. There will be additional information about Sister Madeline
and opportunities to meet and welcome her to our parish as August nears. A word of thanks to these parishioners who served on the Search Committee, Paul Albano, Chair, David Porco, Patti Smith, Christina Rickey, Susan Wilkens,
and Sister Terry as consultant. Hope and Joy, Fr. Joe Culotta

Consider the call to be a Catechist! You can learn more by attending our Catechist Recognition and Recruitment Brunch on April 22nd following the 10:30 am Mass.
Children, teens, and adults in today’s world, more than ever, need to hear the Good News of Jesus. You’ll be challenged, you’ll have fun, and you’ll make new friends while helping our children and youth and
parents deepen their relationship with Jesus.
Jesus sent us to “go and teach all nations.” We at Saint Mark want to continue to answer that call. Come join us! We look forward to seeing
you and sharing more about being a Catechist in our parish community.
