  Workshops  at  21  schools  as  the  school  curriculum

・In  4  schools,  all  grades  participated  along  with  teachers.  Parents,  local  residents,  and  other  school  students  gathered  to  see  the  show.

Everyone  accomplished  the  show,  with  a  lot  of  support  for  soloists.

Teacherʼ’s  solo  in  the  centersinging  enthusiastically  with  students.

“Are  you  ready?”  Become  friends  in  short  time.

・Adding  to  2day  workshops,  3  schools  held  3day  workshop  to  communicate  more  deeply.

     Workshops  with  parents  &  local  citizens¡ Date  SpecialIt  was  held  with  the  goal  of  building  a  strong  trust  among  students,  parents  and  teachers.  40  parents  participated  in  WS  and  commented  “It  was  a  great  chance  to  face  to  kids”  “I  could  release  myself.”  

From  kids  to  adults,  90  participants  (students,  parents,teachers  and  local  residents)  gathered  for  the  open  WS.

Opening  up  and  practicing  with  smiles  (Date)

  次世代リーダー育成に活⽤用[Iwaki  Student  Council  Summit]Student  councils  from  all  44  middle  schools  in  Iwaki  participated.・1400  audience  including  the  mayor,  parents  and  local  citizens  came  to  the  show  in  Alios  Hall.

・Comments  from  parents  “They  will  be  the  leaders  who  bear  the  future  of  Iwaki  and  Japan.”

Energetic  show  attracted  audience  and  the  house  was  filled  with  excitement.

    “I  found  something  new  in  myself”

¡  I  found  a  new  part  of  myself  through  this  experience,  that  I  can  sing  and  dance  with  such  a  big  smile.          (6th  grade,  girl)

¡  I  learned  many  things.  First,  we  can  communicate  with  a  heart,  not  with  language.  Second  is  a  satisfaction  by  achieving  something  with  everyone.  Third  is  having  fun  at  any  moment.  I  wonʼ’t  forget  these  2  days.  (6th  grade,  boy)

¡  They  made  children  shine  brilliantly,  whom  we  always  wanted  to  shine  somehow.  I  want  to  face  each  child  more  than  I  used  to.      (Female  teacher  of  middle  school:  40s)

¡  Kidsʼ’  smiles  were  amazing.  Thank  you  so  much  for  reaching  out  an  invisible  talent  of  the  kids.  (Parents  of  elementary  student)

¡  YAs  ignited  a  fire  in  childrenʼ’s  heart.  That  is  a  real  educator.  This  experience  became  the  start  of  lighting  the  fire  in  school  and  in  home  education.  (Parents  of  elementary  student)

¡  Continuing  from  last  year,  the  Young  Americans  brought  big  courage  and  self-‐‑‒confidence  to  students.  It  became  a  chance  to  make  a  big  change  for  kids,  and  also  for  teachers  and  parents.  (Fukushima,  Date)

¡  Kids  are  facing  a  difficult  period  after  two  and  a  half  year  since  3.11.  At  the  Principal  meeting,  it  is  reported  that  “Kids  became  more  energetic  after  the  workshop.”  (Iwate,  Rikuzentakada)

¡  The  Young  Americans  has  been  very  topical  in  the  whole  city.  In  two  years,  schools  are  changing  after  holding  the  workshop.  I  clearly  feel  that  a  new  big  wave  blowing  into  Iwaki.    (Fukushima,  Iwaki)

v  This  tour  became  a  chance  to  have  a  self-‐‑‒confidence,  to  believe  in  their  possibility,  and  to  feel  joy  of  expression  for  kids  who  have  anxiety,  and  for  parents  and  teachers  who  support  kidsʼ’  growth.

v Now  that  schools  and  teachers  understand  more  about  the  Young  Americans,  the  schools  moved  on  to  “utilize  the  Young  Americans  as  a  part  of  educational  program.”

v We  have  been  requested,  “Please  come  back  next  year”  by  the  board  of  education  and  mayors  in  every  city  which  held  the  workshop  this  year.
