It eats seeds like peppergrass and filaree, it also eats green vegetables especially in the spring. Seeds are buried in small shallow holes in the winter and spring where they dry. It fits in the food web as a 1st order consumer because it eats plants and seeds, and it is food for other animals like the Kit fox and some snakes.

Organizations like the U.S. Fish And Wildlife Services are helping by breeding the animals in captivity and then letting them go back into their natural habitat, they are also creating or coming up with different campaigns to try and tell humans to stop destroying de Giant Kangaroo rat’s habitat.

We can help create more “communities” in different places so that the organisms can develop more organisms and this way try and make them come back again.

We should save the species because they are beautiful organisms that deserve to live like we all do, we think that any kind of species that we have in our world is useful and helpful to make this places very diverse and very beautiful.

We can save the species by preserving their natural habitats, stop destroying the place where they live. We can support all the stuff that the U.S. Fish And Wildlife Service are sponsoring , we can stop killing this organisms or hunt them for “fun”

It is possible in today’s world, but it is very hard to achieve because even though we should save the species, not everyone wants to help or they are too lazy to do it. But we think that if we all try, we’ll be able to help this species survive.
