Sports Round Up for this week An amazing return by the Barton Football teams this week. We had three matches in three days. The Year 5/6 team had an exciting close match against Queensgate which unfortunately ended in a narrow 2-1 defeat. Austin scored the goal, and Drew was unlucky hitting the crossbar twice. The Year 3/4 team played with amazing effort and enjoyment with many playing their first match for the school against a very strong Bay team. The Bay ended up winning the game 6-1 with captain Finley scoring the only goal. Special mention to Dominic for a string of amazing saves. The Year 5/6 Girls team dominated Nine Acres in an entertaining 4-1 win. Demi scored a fantastic hat trick and Flossie also scored. The girls will now play in the Danone finals at Queensgate on Tuesday 21st September. Well done to all the players for playing with a great team spirit and sportsmanship. A BIG THANK YOU to Mrs Smith, Miss Darcy and Mr Orchard for helping the teams this week. Mr Day

Totland Class Toland class have already shown their amazing ability to work in teams during a collaboration challenge, where they had to make the tallest freestanding tower out of 6 sheets of newspaper. They all worked fantastically; listening to each other's ideas and overcoming challenges. The tallest tower was 150cm! Well done Totland class.
