Matrics, Inc. is a major U.S. manufacturer for a variety of silicone impression materials. We specialize in providing Hearing Healthcare Professionals with quality silicone ear-impression materials, dispensing equipment, and supplies.

Family owned and operated, we have been serving the Hearing Healthcare industry for over 50 years, with extensive experience in both manufacturing and dispensing of hearing instruments.

Twenty years ago, we saw a need for a higher quality process for taking impressions. The �rst Matrics brand of silicone impression material was introduced in 1990. Since then, we have developed the world’s most advanced impression system, serving Hearing Healthcare Professionals, manufacturers and ear mold labs.

A poor impression is bad for your business. On average, 20 percent of hearing instruments are returned to the manufacturer because of �tting issues largely due to poor impression quality. At Matrics, our goal is to help you make a perfect �rst impression. Our impression materials are speci�cally formulated by Matrics chemists to reduce the risk of poor impressions. In addition, we hold regular seminars and provide on-site training and over-the-phone instruction to help you make nothing but a good impression.

The perfect ear impression starts with the right combination of ingredients.

At Matrics, we formulate and manufacture all our impression materials to the highest standards in the industry. Our material is a two-part polyvi-nylsiloxane. It features thixotropic and hydrophobic characteristics that prevent slumping and voids while providing a smooth �ow of material. Matrics impressions cure at room temperature within minutes. They are accurate and durable, with no problems related to shrinkage, heat, packaging or shipping.

The soft-�exible �nal hardness of our original impression material has a Shore A of 28. However, over the years, we’ve discovered that Hearing Healthcare Professionals prefer impression materials in a variety of viscosity levels to better meet the individual patient needs. Today, the Matrics Image line includes three di�erent viscosity or “body” levels: light body, medium body and heavy body.

The Matrics mixing tip design delivers precise material �ow and eliminates air entrapment. Matrics tips are designed for one-time usage, making cleanup easy and reducing the risk of spreading bacteria from patient to patient.

MATRICS MIX TIPS

High-quality Matrics XB impression material is available in traditional tubs. XB-40 (40 Shore A) comes in a kit of 2 550-g tubs making approximately 55 impressions. XB-30 kits include 2 800-g tubs making approximately 80 impressions. Each kit includes two spoons.

Direct �t instant swim plugs help protect ears from water while showering, swimming, diving, tubing, etc. Ideal for use by children or adults who have PE tubes or other auditory procedures and need to keep the water out. High strength, long lasting and �oatable, this soft material sets up in 5 to 7 minutes directly in the ear.

BOBBERS

Ideal for direct-�t earmolds used as temporary or demo molds. Clear, high strength, long lasting. Can be clear coated for enhanced appearance and can be drilled for tubing or venting.
