We realise that following the Pandemic there will be a significant number of international delegates that still have restrictions on overseas travel, which could be in place for the remainder of 2020 and into 2021, so after much deliberation we have finally made the decision to change the format of this year’s events to Virtual Online events, broadcast globally. Our Partners, Delegates and guests’ welfare remain our top priority, and although we may not be able to physically meet in person we intend to continue connecting the industry internationally creating virtual, phygital experiences like no other. We are investing a considerable amount of time, money and effort into producing high quality virtual events which can be enjoyed by all.

Having taken place in London, Dubai and most recently LA over the last 14 years, the Global RLI Awards reach another milestone in 2020 as we commemorate our 15th Anniversary and invite you to join us for the virtual celebrations of this year’s Global RLI Awards. Just because we are online-only this year doesn’t mean we’re turning down the spotlight on the glamour of our world renowned and highly coveted Red Carpet event. Instead we are opening it up for the world to experience, free of charge, the celebration of excellence and the glitz and glamour we have all come to know and love.

The 2020 virtual Awards ceremony will take place on Thursday 3 September, recognising achievement across the global retail & leisure industry. RLI’s prestigious panel of highly-respected business leaders from around the world have judged this year’s nominations for their merit and positive impact on the market.

Seventy companies have been shortlisted across fifteen categories and once again the Global RLI Awards will honour the most visionary and innovative retail and leisure concepts from across the globe. The retail and leisure industry is exciting, dynamic and innovative, and the awards pay tribute to those companies that continue to push the boundaries; who are not afraid of the challenges that they are presented with; and who refuse to settle for anything but the very best.

This year’s event will be live online on your mobile device, laptop, and computer screen, from the comfort of your own home or office environment. Streamed via YouTube Live with a first of its kind Virtual Red Carpet powered by Zoom and followed by a fun-filled immersive Award Ceremony direct from a Television Studio.
