Dear ParentsGuardians
As we approach the end of the 2016 calendar year we take time to reflect upon Woodbridgersquos community successes and our dedication to improving student achievement and well-being This past month and throughout this year beyond our continued dedica-tion to literacy and numeracy our staff and students have worked very hard to enhance our school culture emphasizing the importance of equity inclusivity and responsible citizenship Various teams within the school (Eco Club Early Act Club Student Leader-ship Team) have been working collaboratively to contribute to Woodbridgersquos positive and caring school climate
We would like to take this opportunity to thank parents for your ongoing involvement in your childrsquos education the time you have spent communicating through the agendas and the conversations you have had with staff We would also like to thank parents for their ongoing support at home Helping with homework assignments and discussing your childs school day provides opportunity for support and positive reinforcement We look forward to strengthening our partnership in the upcoming year and we welcome your
comments and feedback in regards to school improvements
The upcoming Winter Break offers a terrific opportunity for our students to enjoy the great-ness of our Canadian winter Encourage your children to play outside skate toboggan or simply play in the snow While indoors take the time to play board or card games with your children Games that involve strategic thinking enhance critical thinking skills and provide invaluable family time where you can share in the gifts that each of your children
bring to the Woodbridge community every day
On behalf of the entire staff at Woodbridge we wish all our families and community members a happy healthy and safe holiday season and all the best for the New Year
As always if you have any questions please feel free to contact us at the school
Sincerely
Mrs S Morgan Ms J De Rose
Principal Vice Principal

IndoorOutdoor Recess Decisions
The decision to send students outside for recess or to
stay indoors is made at the time of each recess and
depends upon temperature wind chill suncloud condi-
tions and wind velocity
Students can avoid feeling uncomfortable during cold
weather by dressing in layers and by wearing hats
scarves and glovesmittens It is
always a good idea to keep a spare pair
of mitts and a change of clothing for
your child at school or in your childrsquos
backpack
