By adding body force to velocityfield on DNS calculation I try tocancel the eddies and turbulent flow.

By solving adjoint equation, we canobtain optimal input of body force.

Method of my research• Prepare 100 turbulent velocity field and correspondingoptimal body force (by using adjoint)

• Decomposition by using fourier transform and POD

• Construct neural network which can calculate optimalinput from velocity field by using machine learning

• Improve neural network and sophisticate the precisionof optimal input

Objective of my visiting

• To get know how of machine learning applied forturbulent flow.

• To get feedback after introduction of my research• To make relationship with the team to collaboratewith them continuously.

What I notice from this visiting

• Difficulties of collaborating with other area’sresearcher.Hard to understand the mathematical knowledge

• Difficulties of listening English.• Importance of good presentation.Doing presentation easy to understand for

researcher in different area can make chance tocollaborate
