The pool is opening on Saturday, May 14, 2016 and the pool hours are 6 a.m. to 9 p.m., seven days a week. Be watching your e-mail for more details regarding the Annual Pool Opening Party on May 21, 2016. During the months of July and August, the pool will be open 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. The pool rules are posted at the pool and were created to maximize everyone’s enjoyment of the facilities and to create a positive environment for all. Use of the pool is “swim-at-your-own-risk;” lifeguards will not be provided.

The recreation facilities, including the swimming pools and restrooms, are private property owned by the Association. Please treat these areas with care, as your dues contribute to the maintenance and repair of these areas. Parents are encouraged to take their children on frequent bathroom breaks. Any “accidents” such as fecal contamination are costly to the Association and require the pool to be closed for 24 hours. Let’s work together to avoid extra Association expenses!

The ring buoys, Shepherd hooks and ropes are not water toys; they are life saving devices that are required by the State, and the equipment must be kept where it can be used for life saving.

Please remember that the pool is YOUR pool, so please do not hold the pool gate open for someone who indicates that they forgot or lost their pool card, unless you know they are a Resident.

Reservations of the Aviary Pool for a party are available. The purpose of the reservation system is to prevent anyone from accidentally ‘double-booking’ the pool or planning an event on the same day; the Reservations are “first-come, first-serve”. Any party or event at the pool area cannot be exclusive, as Residents have access to the pool during all operational hours. All parties are responsible for cleaning up and disposing of all trash, debris or related items. Contact Reservations at 877.378.2388 or via email at [email protected]. If you have misplaced your pool card, please call 877.378.2388 or email [email protected]; be sure to reference your Community name and address in your message. Please note that if any outstanding dues or late fees are on your account, your access key card is subject to deactivation.

We are very receptive to recommendations from Homeowners on what we can do to help keep the pool open and to communicate safety concerns. As always, please contact me at 214.451.5443 or via email at [email protected] with any questions or concerns you have about the pool, community maintenance or the Association.

Community Project Updates

The Aviary HOA’s Board of Directors work diligently and take great pride in keeping the common areas within the community maintained and are invested in the beautification of the community. Recently the fence along Heritage Parkway has been replaced and it looks amazing. The wrought iron perimeter fencing has been painted and a crossbar was installed in order to maintain the integrity of the pickets. Sod was also recently installed near the pool and playground area. Now that there is a newly installed fence, the landscaping along Heritage Parkway needs some sprucing. Within the next few weeks, new sod will be installed and the trees will be trimmed and thinned out so the sod can catch some rays. When you are out an about

within the community, take a few extra seconds to take a peek at all the recent improvements and upgrades.
