Summer Faith Study Program This year marks the 50th anniversary of Pope Paul VI's encyclical Humane Vitae. This is the document in which the Pope, in 1968, set out the Church's position on the matter of birth control. Many people were expecting the Catholic Church to change her teaching and accept birth control, but of course, the Church did not do so. With the benefit of the passing of 50 years, you will see through this study how the Holy Father's words concerning the consequences of accepting birth control turned out to be prophetic. This is a timely study that will help you to appreciate the awesome beauty of our faith and understand the Church's position on many of the life issues currently in the news. The program consists of home study, class discussion and video presentations by Fr. Frank Pavone. We invite you to join us even if you’ve never participated before. You’ll be glad you did! When: Tuesday morning or Thursday evening beginning the first week in July for 5 weeks. Cost for Materials: $15. For more information or to register contact Judi Park at

603-926-6131 ([email protected]).

Thank you to all of those who sent "get well" cards and who prayed for my quick recovery. The amount of cards that I received was simply overwhelming and definitely warmed my heart! I am doing better and on my way to full recovery. Your compassion and love is greatly appreciated. I am so thankful to be a part of this community, who witnesses the love of God in so many ways. Thank you again, and may God's peace be with all of you! Pauline Dupuis

Do you feel something missing in your life?

Are you interested in learning more about the

Catholic faith?

Do you have friends or family members who are

questioning what Catholicism is all about?

Do you have Catholic family members or friends who have

fallen away from the faith?

We invite and welcome you and them to investigate the

truth about Catholicism by joining the RCIA group here at

OLMM Parish, which will resume in September.

RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) is a program

designed to help non-Catholics and non-practicing

Catholics learn more about Catholicism through a series of

classes, discussions and prayer. RCIA helps people grow

in faith and knowledge and a relationship with Jesus as

they consider becoming Catholic.

If you feel the RCIA process is something you or a friend/

family member might be interested in, please

contact Sherry Impastato at

[email protected] or 926-2206.

I look forward to hearing from you, God bless,

Sherry Impastato

The next meeting of Our Lady's

Sodality will be held on Monday, June

18th at 12:30pm in the St. Catherine

Laboure Room.

St. Vincent de Paul Beach Kitchen temporarily located at the beach firehouse is now closed for the season. We would like to thank the many people who supported us as

cooks and servers throughout the season. As an update, we are now seeking the support of local community and beach leaders to help us find a permanent location. We also welcome any suggestions from parishioners who may know of a suitable site to relocate our kitchen for the winter season. We will keep you apprised of our progress in finding a new location. Below are just a couple of the CD titles available in our Lighthouse Media Collection:

The Forgotten Virtue: Pathway to Holiness God opposes the proud but bestows favor on the humble. (1 Peter 5:5) In this revealing talk, Fr. Casey shares how wisdom and blessings come through a healthy cultivation of the virtue of humility, and he equips us to be vigilant in avoiding that often subtle temptation and danger to the soul, which is pride. He shows how humility allows us to see things, and ourselves, as they truly are, and how pride makes us prone to serious mistakes, both in our spiritual and practical lives. At the end of this presentation is a bonus segment from Confession by Fr. Larry Richards. Praying the Rosary Like Never Before Dr. Edward Sri is a nationally sought Catholic speaker who appears regularly on EWTN, and is a founding leader of FOCUS (Fellowship of Catholic University Students). In this discussion of his book "The New Rosary in Scripture: Biblical Insights on Praying the Twenty Mysteries" (Servant Books), Dr. Sri shares John Paul II's practical strategies for praying the Rosary better, so that you can encounter Jesus more deeply in prayer. We kindly ask for a donation of $4.00 per book (or otherwise specified suggested donation), $3.00 per CD, $2.00 per booklet and $0.50 per pamphlet so that we may continue this program. Please make all checks out to “OLMM.” Won’t you reach out and help bring someone home?

Highlighting Our Advertisers Did you know that The Gove Group advertises on the back pages of our bulletin? Any business you give them benefits our parish in the publication of our bulletin. We thank all of our advertisers.

Dear Parishioners,

Bishop Libasci has asked that our Diocese restore the celebration of the Sacrament of Confirmation to its original place,

before the celebration of 1st Eucharist and to make lifelong faith formation a priority within our parish communities.

Please read the announcement below from the Diocese, and if you have any further questions or concerns please the

Faith Formation Office. Have a blessed week, Fr. Gary

“The three sacraments of initiation lay the foundations of every Christian life.” (CCC 1212)

Through the waters of Baptism, we are incorporated into the Body of Christ through the Spirit. We die to sin and become

new creations in Christ. Confirmation is a special outpouring and strengthening of the Holy Spirit. This sacrament perma-

nently seals us to Jesus Christ. Through the sacrament of the Eucharist we receive Christ, Body, Soul, and Divinity, in the

bread and wine. In the early church, people were initiated into the community at one single event. They were baptized,

anointed with chrism and shared in the Eucharist. The sacraments, over time, have been separated from one another and

this happened for a variety of reasons. The Second Vatican Council asked the Church to make it more clear that Confir-

mation is intimately connected with Baptism and the whole of Christian initiation. This also helps us to see that Eucharist

completes our initiation into the Church and unites us as one body in Christ.

Go to www.catholicnh.org/lifelong for more information on this important change.

Intercessions for Life For the times we are afraid to welcome life: May God strengthen us and renew our trust in Him;

We pray to the Lord.
