Life Drawing - 10.00am - 12:30pm, $15 (2nd & 4th Thurs of the month).

Includes model and tuition. Beginners welcome. Bring own easel and materials.

Social Table Tennis - 10.00am - 12.00pm (Uraidla Institute), gold coin donation. For all ages and abil-ities, get a few tips and have some fun.

Never Too Late To Dance - 9.30am - 10.30am, $5. An over 65s dance class exploring a variety of dance types including contemporary, rock ‘n’ roll, jazz and ballroom. People with all levels of experience are welcome. Bring a friend or meet new friends. Morning tea provided after class. *Funded by an ‘Active Neighbourhoods for Older Australians’ project grant

Dance Class with Tanya - 11.00am - 12.00pm, $10. A dance class for everyone People with all levels of experience are welcome. Bring a friend or meet new people. Young children are welcome to accompany parents.

Painting Group - 9:30am - 1.00pm, gold coin donation (1st & 3rd Mon of the month). Beginners welcome. Please bring own materials. Fun and Games - 10.00am - 2.00pm, $4 (2nd & 4th Mon of the month). Social scrabble, cards and board games—a great way to meet friends!

Knit ‘n’ Stitch - 12.00pm - 3pm, gold coin donation (1st Mon of the month). Bring along your latest work in progress and share ideas with a friendly group of like minded people.

A fantastic Book Swap, tea and coffee, public computers, Wi-Fi and a vine covered patio with the best view in Adelaide, available for community use Monday - Friday 9-3pm. Drop in and say hello!

Smashing Ladies Mosaics - 10.00am - 3.00pm, (Basket Range Cricket clubrooms, 222 Range Rd), $6 (4th Fri of the month). The group works on basic mosaics but feel free to bring along another craft such as crochet or knitting. Please bring shared morning tea and own lunch. Tea and coffee provided. Karra Watta Community Lunches* A free community lunch available to anyone in the community who may be feeling a little isolated, is new to the area or would like to reconnect with old friends and make new connections by coming together to enjoy a hearty meal. The Red Shed Sunday Sessions Come along to our Sunday morning session at The Red Shed at Uraidla on the last Sunday of each month. All welcome, and no special skills required. Work on your own project, repair broken items, get involved in a community project whilst meeting new people. Rainbow Macramé Workshop with Knot Modern* Rainbows are so popular at the moment and in this fun workshop you will be making your very own rainbow wall hanging made with gorgeous rope and yarn. Suitable for beginners, Mary from Knot Modern will guide you through the process, step by step, with a gorgeous array of yarn to choose from. Hand built Clay Christmas Ornaments* Get in the festive spirit and learn to make your own clay Christmas decorations. Over two sessions, you will have the opportunity to explore hand building techniques to create 2D dec-orations for hanging up as well as a candle holder. Stamping, painting and drawing decora-tion techniques will also be covered with a focus on Native Australian themes i.e. flora and fauna. All your pieces will have a beautiful natural finish as we will be using porcelain and some other textured clays which lend themselves well to unglazed firing and finishes. Kokedama Workshop* Kokedama means 'moss ball'. Join us and learn the art of creating your own, in a hands on workshop with all materials provided. Bring nature into your home with these gorgeous living decorations. Didge and Dance Workshop* A workshop for children aged 5+. As part of our NAIDOC Week celebrations join local Aboriginal artist David Booth for an interactive dance movement workshop sharing stories, dance and games. There will also be a didgeridoo explanation and demonstration. Traditional Art Workshop* To continue on with NAIDOC Week celebrations, join local Aboriginal artist David Booth for a workshop where you will learn about traditional Aboriginal art (dot art) and complete your own piece to display at home. Please dress comfortably and bring along a yoga mat or small mattress, a blanket, two cushions and a bottle of water.

Poppies Project Can you knit, crochet….or sew? Perhaps you might like to learn how to? We have an important project that we’d love your help with. Local groups The Ring of Oaks Quilters, Pins ‘n’ Needles and the Spinners and Weavers have started knitting, crocheting and sewing poppies for a second spectacular wall hanging that will feature on the Gumeracha Town Hall.….but we need your help! Movie Day and Pillow Case Program Bring along your bean bag or pillows and enjoy a latest release movie. Prior to the movie the Red Cross will facilitate a half hour Pillowcase Program to help children prepare psycho-logically and practically for an emergency. Everyone will be given a pillowcase to decorate and take home, to start their own personal emergency kit. Morning session is for ages 4-8 years and the afternoon session is suitable for 9-12 years. Snack and drink provided. Indoor Plant Propagation Workshop* Join Haidi from The Indoor Jungle a horticulturist with a passion for indoor and patio plants, to learn the fundamentals of propagating different plants and how to transition cuttings from propagation to soil. You will learn about he things you can find in your house for prop-agating - there is no need for expensive products! You will leave the workshop with a couple of different cuttings in various set ups. Aboriginal Jewellery Making Workshop* As part of our NAIDOC Week celebrations join local Aboriginal artist David Booth for a work-shop where you will make your own Aboriginal bracelet and necklace using beads, tiger wire crimps and clasps. You will make one soy candle and one diffuser to take home. All materials, equipment will be supplied, please wear closed toe shoes and old clothes recommended as this is a hands on session. Please bring a bag or box to carry candles home. Macramé - Hanging Baskets with Knot Modern* Mary from Knot Modern will be teaching the fun and therapeutic craft of macramé with a lovely pot hanging project to make during the session and take home. Be quick, only limited tickets available! Blend Your Own Tea* Join certified tea master and blender, Belinda Hellyer from the award wining tea company Brewed By Belinda and learn about the alchemy of tea and create your own unique organic blend to take home for yourself or a loved one. Bliss! Family ‘Build Your Own’ Recycled Christmas Tree Join Volunteers from the Gumeracha Green Shed to build your very own timber Christmas tree from recycled timber pallets. Learn some trade secrets and get the satisfaction of build-ing something memorable yourself. Ages 8+ and children must be supervised by a parent or guardian for assistance during the workshop. All materials supplied, please wear closed toe shoes and have hair tied back.
