Due to the aging population, there is an increase in demand of the number of beds in the nursing homes and the number of nursing homes. However due to recent incidents of severe abuse in nursing homes (Nightingale incident) and increasing number of people doubting the trustiness of nursing homes, our group is worried if the nursing homes are suitable for the elderly to be in it.

In conclusion, our group has agreed through the analysis of the results that the nursing homes were indeed suitable for the elderly, especially those with mental illnesses, despite certain misconceptions about the nursing homes due to the “black sheep”, which do not abide by proper rules and regulations.
