With the aim of cultivating stu-dent’s skills at every sphere, the school has devised an exhaus-tive year-long activity plan, un-der which each student will get supervised exposure in fields of arts, music, literature and sci-ences. A holistic and systematic hierarchical approach is to be implemented which primarily aims at academic excellence, fa-cilitates development of leader-ship skills and improvises flow of information. A overview of all the activities added to the existing curriculum for the pur-pose:

Dramatic Arts:Dramatic arts education is very important means of simulating creativity in problem solving.

Dramatic exploration can pro-vide students with an outlet for emotions, thoughts and dreams that they might not otherwise have means to express. At the centre of all drama is com-munication. The students who have participated in drama are less likely to find difficulty in speaking in public, will be more persuasive in communications, both written and oral, will be better able to put themselves in others shoes and relate to them, and will have a more positive, confident self-image. The school has implemented dramatics arts at the nexus of its primary classes curriculum and plans to give each student the opportunity in the course of the session.

School Newspaper and Blog:Writing skills are equally im-

perative as verbal skills as a mode of communication. To enhance the abilities to express oneself through writing, the school has decided to intro-duce a newspaper and an online blog as a platform for students to demonstrate and learn the

vital skill. The blog offers so-cial networking features using which authors and the peers can share their articles to their friends , family and the rest of the world who do not have ac-cess to the printed publication. The students’ response to the initiative was amazing and un-

der the tutelage of school staff, they have created, as you would observe yourself, some wonder-ful articles.

Sports:This year the school would be celebrating Annual Sports Day. It would be the culminat-ing event of Inter House Com-petition which would include various on-field, off-field sports event. The house would also be awarded points on the basis of their performance on various quizzes organised throughout the year. The houses would be scored on the events like football, basketball, table ten-nis, dodge ball, chess, cricket, sprint and relay races and other athletics events.

Club Orientation:Education of child is incom-

plete if doesn’t cater the co-scholastic aspects of his life. For that purpose, we are initiat-ing club culture in the school. Clubs would basically promote student to student information flow. It will give a platform to students who already develop, present and teach their skills. Supervised training would be provided in specific areas. For example, if a student is good in lets say literary arts, he can join the literary club and he would be under proper tutelage which would help him flourish his skill as an writer.

These are the new programmes that the school has introduced in the first quarter of the ses-sion. We endeavour to intro-duce more such programs. We also expect full cooperation from students and parents.

Human Being is the most pow-erful machine that the god has ever created. This machine is having the most valuable part or tool that is brain, but, this machine is doing disastrous planning. Humans have started doing what they want and how can they access it, without any sense that they are giving pain to other in this selfishness.

Discovering yourself is the best way by which a person will get to know what he has to do with his/ her life. To get what we want is not a bad thing but the same thing if we do with

humanity than it will not be a wrong deed. Compete but in well and healthy manner. Think what you have done in your past 24 hours and make a list. You will find lots of bad habit that you have to change and discover new aspects of life.

Human can discover him/ her-self by changing all the bad hab-its and by discovering the good ones by discovering a healthy and wide thinking. If they have brain then they should make use of it and make their society clean society. This world will be heaven if we will discover our-selves and let good happen eve-rywhere. World is heaven if we think widely and if we will not discover ourselves than there will be no difference between man and devil.

As we all know, environment that surrounds us consists of plants, animals, human beings, insects and other creatures. All its living creatures are inter-de-pendent for food and other vital necessities.

Our planet is shared by 7.1 bil-lion people and millions of spe-cies. But due to constant mod-ernization, urbanization and industrialization we are exploit-ing all our resources gifted to us by the nature. In this rat-race of having higher and higher eco-nomic development, all the hu-mans have forgotten about the concept and principle of sus-tainable development. Thus the laws of nature are violated by us and hence, we are punished by the nature from time to time. Gandhiji stated, “Nature has provided man enough for his need but not for his greed.”

Today many of our species are already extinct and some are on the verge of extinction. Pres-ently, India is trying to save the most precious animal of our ecosystem, that is ‘tiger’. All 18 of India’s poultry breeds are also under threat. Due to excessive use of pesticides and fertilizers, many spices of insects and birds are also endangered. Vultures, which are called natural scaven-gers are also under-treated.

Presently our mother earth is facing a lot of problems span-ning from global warming to ozone layer depletion result-ing in various disease, different types of pollutions, water scar-city et al. Also, there is not any proper management for the dis-posal of solid and bio–medical wastes and also the use of plas-tics is also increasing day by day. That’s why there must be the use of three ‘R’s’- Reduce, recycle and Reuse and it’s use should be the motto of everyone. For the solution of all these prob-

lems, we should stop cutting of trees, reduce wastage of water, use of chemical fertilizers in farms should also be moderated and the farmers should prefer the use of fertilizers and other chemicals, along with it, there must be ban on the hunting. We should use paper bags instead of plastic polythene bags.

All these measures can come into effect only when the aware-ness is created among the peo-ple about the importance of all the precious resources. And the awareness can be created through advertisements on TV, posters and the govt. must also enact strict environmental laws and make sure that they should be strictly followed by everyone.Protect the mother earth from getting perished and let the civi-lization flourish.“We won’t have a society if we destroy the environment.” So, “Save Earth, Save Lives”.

Think what you have done in your past 24 hours and

make a list. You will find lots of bad hab-its that you need to

change anddiscover new as-pects of your life.

In India, dowry is the payment in cash or some kind of gifts given to bride. The dowry sys-tem puts great financial burden on the bride’s family. It has been one of the reasons for families and women in India resort-ing to sex selection in favor of sons. This has distorted the sex ration of India (940 females per thousand males) and has given rise to female feticides. The pay-ment oft dowry has been pro-hibited under the 1961 dowry prohibition Act in Indian civil law and subsequently by section 304B and 498A of the Indian penal court (IPC).

Dowry system was not started

by India. It was through the Eu-ropeans, dowry system came in India. Dowry was not a part of the Indian marriage before Eu-ropean influence crept into the society. The earliest examples of European practicing the dowry in India, the case of Mumbai, which was presented as part of the dowry when princess Cath-erine de Braganza of Portugal was married to king Charles II in 1661. The native population disliked practicing dowry, as they believed that this would make them “obliged to buy hus-bands.”

In 2001 nearly 7000 dowry deaths were registered in India over inadequate dowry, apart from other mental trauma cases. Bride burning, inducing

suicides, physical and mental torture by their husband or in –laws is sometime found to be done if the bride fails to bring sufficient dowry. There are laws for protection of women from domestic violence Act 2005 that help to reduce domestic

violence and to protect women’s rights. Dowry became prohib-ited by law in 1961 with the purpose of prohibiting the de-manding, giving and taking of dowry. To stop the offences of cruelty by husband or his rela-tives on the wife, section 498-A

PLIGHT OF A BRIDE - DOWRY SYSTEM IN INDIABY AYUSHI RATHORE

was added in Indian IPC and section 198-A in the criminal procedure code in year 1983. As per the data only 2% of the cases registered for dowry de-mand have led to conviction of the groom or groom’s family. This has raised questions about

rampant misuse of dowry law in India by woman to harass hus-band’s family.

According to one survey con-ducted by reputed Indian news magazine India today, over 90% of government servant’s activity

seek and get dowry in marri-ges. Govt. servants seek dowry relevant to the market rates of their post. These rates are sky – high, with an estimate of dowry rates for a bachelor IAS being as high of Rs. 50 lac to Rs. 5 crore. These high rates are one of the primary reasons for corruption as young IAS officers after mar-riage are forced to take bribes to maintain their new lifestyle and match the financial status of their wealthy in laws.

An old proverb says that a girl does not only marry a man, but also a lifestyle. But what a lifestyle does an young Indian bride has to marry! Scared, subdued, subjugated, torchered for dowry in her ‘new home’ by her ‘new family’. It is the home

where she should feel the safest of all and it turns out it is where she is constantly harrased, both mentally and physically. Its hard to imagine what plight a young bride goes though. Its a shame for the country which boasts of its cultural supremacy.

Malicious practices like dowry, female feticide, sati, low female literacy rates etc have disinte-grated the nation. Despite being the biggest democracy in the world, we are not even remotely close to the cultural equality. This is a despicable situation and it is imperative to improve the current scenario.

Over 90% of government servant’s activity seek and get dowry in marriges. Govt. servants to seek dowry relevant to the market rates of their post.

BY SHIVANGI SHUKLAIndia has more than 12.6 mil-lion children who are forced to beg and work for the survival of and to help their family to earn more money and earn their livelihood.

Indian poverty hit children are forced to work. They are forced to work in factories, at homes and as street beggars. This is the age of their studying as well as playing, not of spoiling their childhood and future. They are

Government and we must take steps to reduce such practices by giving physical and moral support like free education, counselling etc. The street chil-dren who are not secure on streets must be provided shel-ter for living. Both for boys and girls, who are at high risk cat-egory, must be brought at cen-tres to give them the feeling of perfect care like family support. They must also be provided by the health care and residential facilities.

Let’s take an oath to remove child labour from the root of our country and never give chance to anyone to repeat this devilish practice again.

We know that India is a demo-cratic country. In India the elec-tions are held every 5 years. In elections people choose their representatives. Every citi-zen has a right to vote, men or women, rich or poor, white or black, all in equality. In India, who are above 18 years old have right to vote. But many west-ern democratic countries did not initially allow all its people to vote. In some countries only people owning property had the right to vote. Women did not have right to vote. In the Unit-ed States of America (USA), the blacks all over the country could not exercise the right to vote until 1965

This shows India is in compari-son a very democratic country. But what is democracy?

Democracy is a form of govern-ment in which the rulers are elected by the people. In a de-

AN OVERVIEW OF ELECTIONS AND INDIAN DEMOCRACY DEFORESTATION

mocracy the final decision mak-ing power must rest with those elected by the people. Democ-racy must be based on a free and fair election where those currently in power have a fair chance of losing. In a democra-cy each adult citizen must have one vote and each vote must have one value.

When last elections were held, politicians of all parties were fighting against each other. They came out to do proces-sions for their party and held meetings rallies and etc. Now,What makes elections in India democratic?

We get to read a lot about unfair practices in elections. News-papers and televisions reports often refer to such allegations. Most of the reports are about the followings.

• Inclusion of false names and exclusion of genuine names in the voters list.• Misuse of government facili-

ties and officials by the ruling party• Excessive use of money by rich candidates and big parties and • Intimidation of voters and rig-ging on the polling day.

Most of the reports are correct. We feel unhappy when we read such reports. But fortunately they are not on such a scale so as to defeat the very purpose of elections. This becomes clear if we ask a basic question: can a party win an election and come to power not because it has popular support but through electoral malpractices? This is a vital question.

Now, the recent matter in mar-ket is going about the elections is ‘Lok Sabha’ elections of 2013. Many candidates will stand. Now let’s see what happens in 2013. I wish that in the end ‘All is well’.

Deforestation is very harmful for us. Deforestation means cut-ting of forest [trees]. Without forest, life is also not possible. It is because people recklessly cut the forest for their selfish rea-sons to build their houses, clear land for agriculture etc. Many loggers come and cut the forest because of monetary reasons so, they cut the wood and sell it into the market to earn money. De-forestation is a big problem for a country where deforestation happens. We have to control de-forestation and stop them who have been cutting forest because it is dangerous to us and the en-vironment. We have to conserve them and grow more and more trees. To make the country green and clean so we have to take a resolution that we are growing more and more trees and trees in a year. So, it is rightly said that ‘save trees, save life’.

As we all know that when one pays money as the price of a commodity or service and uses it, he or she becomes a con-sumer. Consumer buys goods & service because they have some utility and satisfy human wants but markets do not work in a fair manner. Often, pro-ducers are few and powerful whereas consumers purchase in small amounts and are scat-tered. Hence there is a need for rules and regulations to ensure protection for consumers. Con-sumer movement is basically a social force which originated. With the necessity of protecting and promoting the interest of consumers against unfair trade practices consumer movement

Forest laws changed the lives of forest dwellers in yet another way. Before the forest laws, many people who lived in or hear forests had survived by hunting deer, partridges and a variety of small animals. This customary practice was prohib-ited by the forest laws. Those who were caught hunting were now punished for poaching.

While the forest laws deprived people of their customary right to hunt, hunting of big game became sport. In India, hunting of tigers and other animals had been part of the culture of the court and nobility for countries.

can be more effective only with the consumers’ active involve-ment. It requires voluntary ef-fort and struggle involving the participation of one and all.

United Nation (UN) guidelines are a tool for nations to adopt measures to protect consumers. In 1985 United Nation adopted some guidelines for consumer protection. But this consumer protection act was introduced in India in year 1986. It is called (COPRA) and government has set a separate department to control consumer affairs. [CO-PRA] Act ensures six rights.

1. Right to choice2. Right to safety3.Right to redressal4. Right to representation5. Right to Information

But many consumers are not aware of the consumer Act 1985. They are often forced to buy unhygienic products. Those products are not good for health. But now a days govern-ment has introduced some new policies to protect consumers that are ISI and Agmark. Those logos represent quality standard for many products. high population and changing of life style.

Groundwater, which is the main source of drinking water, has been heavily over-used. Moreover, it is polluted due to over use of pesticide and toxic

chemicals in agriculture. River water is also becoming unfit for drinking purpose due to the discharge of effluents from in-dustries and domestic sewage.

This problem will be solved only if the government will provide concrete plan of action. Awareness drives to educate us-ers about water uses should be carried on. Measures like Rain-water Harvesting and schemes linking rivers to relocate wa-ter where it is most necessary should be implemented without delay.

It is a valuable resource and we just cannot afford to lose on it. Not anymore.

‘Thud! Clank! Thump!’ A ca-cophony breaks out at the corner of the street! This all is because a water tanker has en-tered the colony every morn-ing as a tanker bearing water arrives. It triggers a mini-riot among the resident. Woman and children make a bee line for the vehicle, pushing and abusing each other. The scene in rural India is equally dismal as women and girls trudge for miles to get water.Water is the biggest crisis fac-ing India in terms of spread and severity. With 20 percent of the world’s population, India must meet its water needs with just five percent of the globe’s avail-able supply. This is because of

Over 80,000 tigers, 15,000 leop-ards and 20000 wolves were killed for reward in the pe-riod 1875 – 1925 (British rule). Gradually, the tiger came to be seen as a sporting trophy. The Maharaja of Sarguja alone shot 1,157 tigers and 2000 leopards up to 1957. A British admin-istrator, George Yule, killed 400 tiger. Initially certain ar-eas of forest were reserved for hunting. Only much later did environmentalists and conser-vations being to argue that all these spices of animals needed to be protected and not killed. Thus forest laws were enacted to ensure preservation of species.

There is adulteration and du-plicate weighing of products in food and civil supplies depart-ment by unscrupulous workers who cheat the consumers by playing with the health and lives of the people.

Corruption is corroding our so-ciety and slowing development and it is imperative to uproot it from the nucleus of our system.

Corruption in the Indian so-ciety has prevailed from time immemorial in one form or the other. The basic inception of corruption started with our opportunistic leaders who have already done greater damage to our nation. People who work on right principles are unrec-ognized and considered to be foolish in the modern society. Corruption in India is a result of the connection between bu-reaucrats, politicians and crimi-nals. Earlier, bribes were paid for getting wrong things done, but now bribe is paid for get-ting right things done at right time. Further, corruption has

Malala Yousafzai is a Pakistani school pupil, an educational activist and the youngest per-son to be nominated for Nobel Peace Prize. She gained inter-national acclaimed for her edu-cation and women right activ-ism in SWAT valley and after a failed assassination attempt by Taliban.

When Taliban took control over the Swat Valley, one girl spoke out, the brave Pakistani, Malala Yousafzai. She refused to remain silent and fought for her right for education. Worth quoted “Hitch you wagon(life) to a star”, or to put it simply , “Sky is the limit.” As we know that there are many girls & women in the country but it is Malala who has won hearts of each and every citizen of Paki-stan. She dared to stand against social disparity. An incident took place which strongly affected the hearts of the people- a failed assassina-tion attempt. But fortunately (and unfortunately for the Tali-ban) she survived attack. Even an assassination attempt could

not change the strong deter-mination of the girl. It was the day, Tuesday 9th Oct., when she ultimately paid the price of her bravery, when she was shot in the head at point blank range while riding the bus home from school. Few expected her to survive. But Malala’s miracu-lous recovery has taken her on an extraordinary journey from the remote valley to the halls

of United Nations in New York. This incident from Malala’s life forced me to think that if you know strongly and deeply to be true, stand for it at any cost even if you are alone. As one great philosopher said “On one side all the people stand & on the other side you and the

truth stand. And you are major-ity because truth is with you.” I believe that these convictions dominated each and every mo-ments of Malala’s life.

In my life from infant to teen-age I observed and heard about many revolutionaries but amongst all, I have eyes for Malala.

That’s why on July 12, Malala was honored for her incredible bravery in the face of adversity and violence. Twelfth of July was officially dubbed by the U.N. as Malala Day.

Wow! What a great feats she had accomplished in her age. I really wish to be like her. She in her famous speech on educa-tion said that- “Let us pick up our book and our pens. They are most powerful weapon. One child, one teacher, one book and one pen can change the world. Education is the only solution, education should be first.” We must all take a leaf out of her book and be inspired by the courage she showed to fight for her and other girls rights.

In June 2013, a multi day cloud burst centered on the north In-dian state of Uttrakhand caused devastating floods and land-slides in the country’s worst natural disaster since the 2004

Tsunami. Through parts of Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh in India, some regions of west-ern Nepal, and some parts of western Tibet also experienced heavy rainfall, over 95% of the casualties occurred in Uttra-khand. As of 16 July 2013, ac-cording to figures provided by

Uttrakhand government, more than 5700 were ‘Presumed dead’. This total included 934 local residents. Destruction of bridges and roads left about 100000 pilgrims and tourist trapped in the valleys leading to three of the four Hindu Chhota Char Dham pilgrimage sites.

The Indian Air force, the Army and paramilitary troops evacu-ated more than 110000 people from the flood ravaged area.Causes of this tragedy:

Uttrakhand has only reaped what is sowed. With more than 1000 lives last in the calamity, and losses estimated to be above

Rs. 3000 Crore, this might seem like a cruel, insensitive, politi-cally incorrect things to say. But facing up to the truth is the least that we owe to the many that have paid with their lives for the greed of a few.

The increased number if habita-tions and multi story buildings on the river bank were ‘disas-ters waiting to happen’. Rescue measures are being carried out in big townships to evacuate pilgrims, while villagers have been completely neglected. The disaster in Uttrakhand is not as much due to extreme weather conditions as it is due to poor civil administration, unplanned infrastructure and the absence of disaster preparedness.Environmentalists say the disas-ter in Uttrakhand was inevitable due to rampant construction, felling of trees and building of dams in the name of develop-ment. They warn it will con-tinue if the state doesn’t change lack indiscriminate construc-tion in the ecologically sensitive upper Himalayas is to blame for the widespread devastation in the state, say environmentalists. And if things continue, there will be worse to come.

Life is a colourful book. Only the difference is that some are reading the pages by heart and others just turning them.

Life is unpredictable. When you have standards, people call it attitude. When you are simple, people try to cheat you. And when you need someone, it’s the best time for them to play with you.

Life doesn’t have only one way. It has many ways. One part of our heart always knows that some wishes would never come true. Still, the second half waits for magic and miracles to happen.

Death: It is impossible to de-fine; life without death. Life is a biochemical chain reaction. Once life is launched, like a bul-let it must reach its final desti-nation which is Death. The fear of Death is not the fear, but it is the fear of leaving be-hind our beloved ones and joys that bind is to the world. And the most important is fear of the unknown.

‘Common’ man, the word itself describes the plight. Ignored, subjugated, exploited, deceived are the verbs that can be read almost daily in news dailies as-sociated with the word. Yet, he survives to be the critical link of a nation.

It is a deceptive proverb that says democracy is for the peo-ple, of the people and by the people. The ‘people’ here de-scribed is also a common man. There are no further types of a common man as he/she bears simplicity of his own.

The goodness of success visits only those who lay everything at her altar. Success cannot be had merely by wishing or ask-ing .One has to struggle , sweat

Science reveals that the sensa-tion of dying is like that falling asleep. And if a person accepts his death; as the end of his life’s work; it could be a blessing; it could be accepted more will-ingly if we know that we had fulfilled our duty in life. Even as a coin attains its full value When it is spent; So life attains its supreme value when one dies.

The globe populates millions of common men, or may be even more. Every common man has his own grounds, backgrounds and attraction.

His traits? A common man has few but special traits. He loves to have a cup of tea/coffee early in the morning, reading news-papers while sipping He wakes up early and go to bed late.

And one more quality is that when he has to speak when it is a crucial time for speaking, he keeps a silence there and stays calm or would shout unneces-sarily.

A teacher is looked upon as a guiding light in the society. She is a role model and watched every moment. A teacher has to be alert and careful in every walk of life.

Temples are built by build-ers. But as the time passes, the foundation and pillars decay and rust. On the other hand, temples build by teachers never decay as human life that is built,

lasts forever. A teacher touches the heart of every child and turns their eager minds to noble goals with a lot of patience gen-tleness and kindness. A teacher has to be very close to each and every student of hers. She has to know the talent of each one of them and should not expect an-ything beyond their limitations. Comparisons between stu-dents should never be done. If a teacher compares she should be well aware that she is arous-ing hatred among the hearts of the tiny- tots. A teacher should never judge a child by her num-

ber on the register but should show more interest in the child’s name. A child should not be judged by marks but the efforts made by him.

The world is a stage and we all are actor’s these words are true. A teacher as an actor has to play a crucial ride in her life. A teacher has to be honest enough to make a child. Many things are unstable and diffi-cult to handle. A child trust and has great faith in his teacher. A child is like a dough prepared by parents and handed over to

teachers. It’s the responsibility of a teacher to mold, shape and bake it. She develops confidence in a child to survive in this world. Teachers are the second parents in the school. Teaching is not a profession but a mis-sion. Teachers have to give out their best of whatever they have .Every teacher puts in their hard efforts in building a strong na-tion because they are the archi-tects of future. Life is God’s gift to us, what we do with it is our gift to God.

God made the common man. This fact is known to him. But he only pleads to god when he is in trouble. When he is happy, then he forgets to remember god and fails his duty.

Nobody is different from others. All may have the same thoughts. But they think differently. A person having a simple mind, does one work at a time, bears less tension, works freely, re-members God time to time and gives time to others will be less stressed. And is a best example of a perfect common man. And those who do all these things vice-versa, they live a stressful

Because, Whenever child is in problem Teacher try to solve his problem.

“Today’s lad is tomorrow’s leader.”

Childhood is of immense im-portance in a person’s life. It is the time of sowing the seeds of kindness, love, patience, for-bearance etc. abundantly in a child’s life. The afore said head-ing is adapted from the lines of the famous nature poet words worth. As you sow, so shall you reap? Whenever a child doesn’t study, teachers se his dark career and future ahead.Whenever a child goes on wrong path , teacher knows that his return may quite dif-ficult.Whenever a child joins wrong company, teacher knows that wrong company always give pleasure for a moment. But his grip on career loosens. A teacher develops a life of a stu-dent and always wishes his ef-forts to be earnest and for the best.

of reaping and we will have to repent at that time. We can’t ex-pect mango from an apple tree or guava from a big tree. A tree will be recognized by its fruit not by its leaves. Normally, we give more attention to physical and showy things and neglect the more vital things like love, truth, sincerity, meekness etc. If these things are not cher-ished in our lives, them, as we grow, we face the consequenc-es.

“By seeing a child, you can understand the village” is a famous proverb. Whatever it

may be, one thing is true that our tomorrow, to a great ex-tend, depend on what we are today. Past determines our pre-sent and present determines the future. Through these lines I would urge my colleagues to pay attention to these admoni-tions of our ancestors and be aware and alert about ourselves and our surroundings. We have ears but many a times we fail to hear. In the same way we fail to see and experience the realities of life through our eyes.

A friend is a jewel indeed. He makes you smile and encour-ages you to succeed. He lends an ear, shares joy, sorrow and always opens his heart to you.Best friends need not meet of-ten. If the bond between two friends is strong, they can en-dure even long distance. They find a way of being in touch de-spite busy schedules.

True friendship never fades away; in fact it grows better with time. True friendship thrives on trust, inspiration and comfort.

If you become genuinely inter-ested in other people, they will like you. Smile and that would make a good impression of you.True friends are not opportun-ists. They don’t help because they have something to gain out of it .True friendship is selfless. Best friends support even when

the whole world deserts you. It is not easy getting true friends and if you have even one true friend, consider yourself bless-ed. In this world of cynics, flat-terers and back stabbers, there are still some people who are worthy to be friends.

Nothing is hidden between true friends; they know each other’s strength and weaknesses.

There are not many persons who can be a true friend. Here is a story about true friendship:-

A prince and a minister’s son went out for hunting in the for-est. After wondering the whole day, they felt hungry and ex-hausted. They found the cool shade of a tree and sat down to rest. Soon, the prince fell asleep, while the minister’s son stayed awake and kept guard. After a while, a snake slithered towards the prince. Furiously hissing; it was about to bite him. However,

the minister’s son quickly raised his sword. But before he could kill it, the snake spoke up, “This

prince was my enemy in my previous life. I cannot rest until I suck his blood”.

The minister’s son wanted to save his friend’s life.He was in-

telligent. He said, “If I give you some of his blood, will that quench your thirst?” saying this

he knew that he was saving the life of the prince because if the snake bites him for blood, it would at the same time spread poison that was sure to kill his friend.

The snake agreed. He was only after prince’s blood and not his life. The minister’s son made a cup out of dry leaves. He climbed upon the prince who was still fast asleep .He pulled out his sword and made a small hole around the side of his throat.

The sharp cut suddenly shocked the prince awake .Now, seeing that his friend, the minister’s son was holding the sword, he closed his eyes again. The min-ister’s son filled the cup with blood and offered it to the snake which satisfied him and he went its way.

Meanwhile, he collected some medicinal herbs and bandaged the wound .A few hours later; the prince awoke and made preparations to proceed. He said nothing and walked hap-pily as if nothing had happened. Even after spending two days in the forests, the prince never

reminded him of the event. It was the minister’s son who be-came impatient as to why he was not questioned. He finally said, “Friend, you know that I climbed upon you and holed on your throat, drew blood and then bandaged you. You even saw me do it; still why haven’t you questioned me or asked me for an explanation?”

“You are a friend of mine” the prince answered. “I believed that whatever you may have done must have been for my good. That is why I desire no explanation. I have boundless trust in you, that my friend shall never do any harm to me”.

This is the mark of true friend-ship. A friend is one who can become harsh or rude to bring greater good to you. In return, he who does not feel hurt by the actions of his friend is a true friend.

A towering figure in 20th centu-ry history, Nobel Laureate Nel-son Mandela showed how wis-dom and patience can triumph over bigotry and brute force. Leading a revolution against the anti - colonial system and apart-heid, a system of racial segrega-tion in South Africa, he gained international acclaim, received more than 250 honors includ-ing the 1993 Nobel Peace Prize and the revered US Presidential Medal of Freedom. He is held within deep respect in South Africa and referred to as “Father of the Nation.” Mandela served as President of South Africa from 1994 to 1999 and after de-

clining to run for a second run, focused on combating HIV/AIDS through Nelson Mandela Foundation.

Nelson Mandela led a tough life, combating apartheid gov-ernment. As a revolutionary, he had to face many charges and visited prisons on many occasions. He was sentenced to prison on the charges of trea-son and conspiracy to violently overthrow the government. He was convicted in the year 1962. Mandela was released only af-ter an international campaign pressed the government and lobbied for his release in 1990, after spending 27 years jail.

Generation gap is nothing but certain psychological and emo-tional gap between parents and children or between elder ones and younger ones. Bulging gen-eration gap creates misunder-standing and lack of attachment between the parents and the children.

Generation gap is the result of the fast paced development of the society. In earlier times 2 or 3 generation live in the same lifestyle and environment as the development was slow. But today nearest past is very much out dated and the world be-comes very advanced each day. Parents don’t even know many of the modern technologies and equipment children use.

There are different attitude adopted by two generation. Most parents adopt a straight

True success is measured by the feeling of knowing we have done a job well and have achieved our objective.

Success is not measured by our position in life but by the obsta-cles we overcame to get there. Success in life is not determined by how we are doing but with what we are capable of doing. Successful people compete against themselves. They better their oven records and keep im-proving constantly.

Success is not measured by how high we go up in life but rather by how many times we bounce back ability that determines success.

What is success?A lot of research has been done on the subject of success

Life is not an mp3 where we can play what we want but life is a radio where we have to enjoy what’s being played.

There are different stages in our life. One of these stages is student clay. It is considered as the most important period of our life. At this time, our minds are like clay. Clay is a soft thing and the potter designs various things out of the clay. Like clay, our mind can also be shaped in different ways. Once the pots are made their shape cannot be changed.

Life of school students is just studies, hard work discipline but it is also fun and the best part of one’s life. School life is generally associated with lot of studies, home work and exami-nations.

School is waking up early in the morning, weather it is hot or cold, putting or ones uniform, hurriedly polishing shoes and rushing to the bus stop to catch the school bus and getting used

to the words “Hurry up! You will be late! ” We reach school and again the same words “Hurry up!” do not let you rest is peace.

When we forget to do our home work, we try to do our home work; we try to sit at the back and pretend to be looking for something on the floor or in our bag hoping that the teacher would not see us. We are lucky

face and do not show their feel-ings when they talk to their children furthermore, they scold their children frequently or even give them physical punishment. These are due to the traditional customs. Con-versely children do not want to follow their parents orders since they think that there are no reasons to support why par-ents thoughts are right. Besides, children do not want their par-ents to treat them as 3 years old kids. Children believe that they are grown up and it high time for them to be independent this helps them to gain more self-esteem. On the whole those both parents and their chil-dren do not see things from the standpoint of each other. There misunderstanding is great cause for the formation of generation gap.

To tackle this problem, there are some ways by which such gen-eration gap can be budged.

if we are not seen and it is our bad luck if we are caught. And when we are not lucky. We are ready for a good scolding or af-ter school or if we are lucky and

our teacher is in a good mood we may be left with a warning.Examination days are tough, we do not have time to play pranks, make fun; we can only do study and at most pray so that we come out with flying colours.

Parents and children have to be aware of the importance of open communication. In order to break the “ice” and rebuild a close parent-child relationship, communication is extremely crucial. Parents should not only concentrate on their jobs and leave their children alone. They have to reserve some specific time to be with their children and show care to them. Similar-ity, children have to discuss se-rious things or big decision with their parents as it shows respect to them. On the whole, both parents and children should try to explain their ideas to family members in a forgiving manner without anger or hatred.

There should be a harmony between parents and children to fill this generation gap. As in olden days dictatorship was more popular but these days, democracy is being seen every-where.

And when we are being caught while doing cheating we say we are not cheaters “we just really enjoy having the same answers” to other friends.

After this and, after all exam we all use to speak “Human brain is amazing. It functions 24 hours for 365 days. It functions right from the time we were born and only stops when we given exam”.

However, school is not so dull all the time, the games, library period and recess time is a wel-come break when we can relax, joke and have fun with our friends. There are some teachers too who can make school life very exciting. Students who are seen loitering around in school and are or a book, are caught by teachers in a typical style “Aie ladke kya karte hai”. Assembly is also fun with the teachers making an effort to talk in good English but often ending up be-ing so funny that the students and even sometimes we also cannot control our laughter.

And yes! Bunking classes and not being caught, is another adventure in a student’s life though there are good and would never anything which could make them stand outside the Principal’s office.

In short, the best years of our life are the ones in which we decide our problems are our own. We do not blame them on our mother, the ecology, or the president. And yes a stu-dent’s life is all about a lot of discipline, hard work, fun and enjoyment. fun increases after

real hard work and we tend to enjoy more than who had been lazy and have wasted their time. I think this period of ours life is most wonderful period- full of spontaneity, dream and hope, not a care in the world, expect for studying. Over all “We re-alize that we control our own destiny”.

So, there should be mutual un-derstanding between both the generations for minimizing the distance between their think-ing.

Today’s thoughts are tomor-row ‘s future. So the youngsters should get the proper guide-lines from the experience hold-er these would act as a miracle light in the path of their desire destination.

Successful people have certain qualities in common no matter what their fields of endeavor success leaves clue. If we inden-tify and adopt the qualities of a successful man, we too can be successful. and adept leader who battled for South Africa and led the country into a new democratic nation. Here is the poem that inspired him during his prison times:

The Out of the night that cov-ers me,Black as the Pit from pole to pole,I thank whatever gods may beFor my unconquerable soul.In the fell clutch of circum-stanceI have not winced nor cried aloud.Under the bludgeonings of chanceMy head is bloody, but un-bowed.Beyond this place of wrath and

tearsLooms but the Horror of the shade,And yet the menace of the yearsFinds, and shall find, me una-fraid.

It matters not how strait the gate,How charged with punish-ments the scroll,

I am the master of my fate:I am the captain of my soul.

The poem was written by Wil-liam Ernest Henley in 1875. It has been cited in various Holly-wood movie. The poet is known to most because of the virtue of this singular poem.

Proverbs are popularly defined as short expressions of popular wisdom efforts to improve on the popular definition have not led to a more precise definition. The wisdom is in the form of a general observation about the world or a bit of advice, some-times more nearly an attitude towards a situation. Let’s learn some of the proverbs which can be easily made part of our day to day conversation.

Action speaks louder than words. What you do is recognized bet-ter than what you speak.

A friend in need is a friend in-deed.A friend is never known till a man has need.

All cats love fish but hate their paws wet.Everyone wants success but many lake self – discipline to become successful.

Every country has its own view regarding education system. Somewhere grading system is there but some countries follow the tradition of allotting marks as percentage. India is a devel-oping country. And because it’s developing in every field, so obviously that development in education will also be followed.

India is developing very fast and it has achieved great success in the field of education. The edu-cation department has planned to plot at least 2 schools in every village or small town in India and they are working much effi-ciently & fast, so as to complete this task. Government has in-stituted various ivy-league col-leges throughout the country primarily under the names IITs,

Education in India is provided by the public sector as well as the private sector with control and funding coming from three levels- Central, state and local. Before the independence in the India a good traditional educa-tion facilities are present. Tak-shsila was the earliest recorded centre of higher learning in In-dia. The Nalanda university was the oldest university system of education in the world.

India has made progress in terms of increasing the primary education attendance rate and expending literacy of approxi-mately three quarters of the population. Much of the pro-gress, especially in higher edu-cation and scientific research has been credited to various public instructions.

In the knowledge economy memorization of facts and pro-ducers is not enough for suc-cess. Educated workers need a conceptual understanding of complex concepts and the abil-ity to work with them creatively to generate new ideas, new theories new products and new knowledge. They need to be able critically to evaluate when they read be able to express themselves clearly both verbally and in writing and understand scientific mathematical think-ing. They need to learn inte-grated and usable knowledge traditional model of school which are not in line with this key finding and so bun this ar-gument, are thus not well suited to our knowledge, economies and societies therefore learning

Current value 1 USD = 63 INRIntroduction: currency appre-ciates means its value has in-creased in relation to another currency.

If 1 USD evaluates to 60 INR it simply means that in the US, if a dollar fetches 60 oranges, while in India a, a rupee will fetch only one orange of equivalent size and quality just like any other commodity the currency of any economy is based on dy-namics of supply and demand and its value depend on trading in currency exchange all over the world. Higher the demand for a currency on an exchange the stronger it becomes and vice versa. However for currencies like INR which are not traded on exchange, the value depends

on capital inflows in the coun-try.

THE RUPEE DOLLAR PAR-ITY OF 1947:

When India achieve independ-ence in 1947, there were no internal borrowings on India’s balance sheet. The exchange rate on 1947 was 1 USD = 1 INR. With the inclusion of 5 year plan India govt. needed foreign borrowing & this required the devaluation of the rupee. The trend was exacerbated by Indo – China (1962) and Indo – Pak (1965) which forced govern-ment to further devalue the Rs. as the country was in dire need of USD for imparting weapons.

DEVALUATION DURING THE HIGH INFLACTION PERIOD IN 1970s:In the year 1966 under the

prime ministership of Indra Gandhi, inflation was increas-ing at unpredictable rate. This was also a time when India was under immense pressure. This led to Rs. being devalued to 1 USD = 7 INR.

THE STRONG DOLLAR PE-RIOD 1980s:

After 1970s USD grew stronger against the Rs. under the in-competence of India politics.Now it was 1 USD = 0.4 INR. Then, In 1985 – 1 USD = 12.36 INR andIn 1990 – 1 USD = 17.5 INR.

DEVALUATION AFTER LI-BRALISATION IN 1999:

The economy liberalization in 1991 under the prime minister-ship of Narsimha Rao brought

with it a sharp devaravion of the Rupee. At that time Indian for-eign reserves dropped to multi years 1000s and a point came to fill the gap India borrowed long amount from the IMF (Interna-tional Monitory Fund) with an obligation to devalue the Rs.1 USD = 24.50 INR.

The year 2012 turned out to be a roller coaster ride for Indian Rs. A high point in the Rs. journey [Low point if you are an im-porter} came on June 25, 2012 when it touched promoting the RBI governor to make media appearances.

This might just be the beginning and we should gear ourselves up for the imminent economic depression.

IIMs and AIIMS, in engineer-ing, management and medical streams respectively.

Most of the students who are willing to prepare for IITs take admission in CBSE affiliated schools. And excel in the same exams to make a better future. Because of its much popularity of CBSE schools and the will-ingness of parents who think that their child should get ad-mitted in a prosperous school. The rate of admissions in such schools is so much high that the school authority has to close the admissions before the due dates. I’m also studying in a CBSE school. And my views are also the same.

With the increase in seats in IITs, aspirations of parents have also increased. 60 to 70% of the students studying in CBSE &

Under-privileged students have started getting scholarships. In India education system is pro-vided into many parts are as follows: (i) Pre-primary educa-tion (ii) primary education (iii) Middle education (iv) second-ary education & last but not least (v) higher secondary edu-cation.

Each and every field of educa-tion makes a person’s future bright. In India education com-pulsory for students up to 16 years, free from govt. By hard work every person makes itself perfect. There are many new methods of teaching are adopt-ed. Indian education system is progressing with the progress of country to complete from other countries it is progressing.

scientist & hence called today’s school.

The explosion of knowledge about the learning and nature of learning combined with the growing power of technology, creates the potential to trans-forms even the most funda-mental limit of education :- the interaction of the technique & learner.

The understanding of literacy in the brain is one important area where brain research can inform reading instruction, the dual importance in the brain of sound phonological processing on the one hand, and the di-rect processing of semantic or meaning on the other.

If any student have argued for more flexible open forms of learning of school organisation

state government based institu-tions are willing to prepare for IITs. So when the students pass their 12th class, they have the mindset ready and consequent-ly many of them get selected.

So you came imagine about the numerous selections in India every year. In recent years, IITs have seen some NRI selections which show how keen the stu-dents have been.

IITs are now leading India to a better unprecedented global representation in the fields of technology and innovation. And with the kind of career opportunities it offer, naturally inspires aspirations among students and parents alike. It would be correct to term this as ‘Booming selections in IITs.’

but while it is not difficult to identify numerous pronounc-ing example it is not so easy to find evidence if more sustained and widespread change.

Assessment for learning:Tests should evaluate the stu-dent deeper conceptual under-standing. The extent to which their knowledge is integrated, coherent and contextualized – instead of focusing on the memorization of facts in addi-tion, the words on formative assessment show how assess-ment should not only be used to test student abilities but to help them assess their own learning progress.

Innovative thinking is the new approach towards modern ad-vancements.

When Dadasaheb Phalke, the father of Indian Cinema, re-leased his epochal features film Raja Harishchandra on 3rs May 1913, it is unlikely that either the exhibitors pioneer film maker realized they were unleashing amass entertainment medium that world hold million in sway for the next hundred year. The French might have introduced the concept of moving images, but little did anyone know that India would one day become the largest film despite the vast cultural difference in the past 100 years.

Indian cinema has an iden-tity that is very unique & un-matched. We have moved from the black & white silent films to 3D, but our cinema continuous to retain its basic essence – to – thrill. Ever as internet down-loads & television continue to cannibalize the theatrical rev-

enues of Indian films, the lure of 35 MM is something else al-together. It was Phalke, who in-troduce India to world cinema at a time when working in films was taboo. After the success of his film ‘Raja Harishchandra’ several filmmakers in Bombay & Madras began making silent films, by the mid 1920s, Madras had become the epicenter for all film related activities. Raghu-pati Venkaiah Naidu, SS Vassan, AV meiyappan set up produc-tion houses in Madras to shoot Telugu & Tamil films.

The silent era came to an end when Ardeshir larvi produced first talkie ‘Alam Ara’ in 1931. If Phalke was the father of the father of the talkie.

The talkies changed the face of Indian cinema apart from looks. The actors not only needed a cinema. The year also marked the beginning of talkie era in South Indian films. The first talkie film in Bengali (Ju-

mai Sgasthi), Telugu (Bhakta Prahlad) & Tamil (Kalidas) were released in the same year.In the middle of the Second World War in 1945 came Kismat starting Ashok Kumar which

became one of the biggest hits in the history of Indian cinema. It has some hold themes first antiheroes. It clearly showed that the plan maker of the era.

50s & 60s were considered as the golden age of Indian cin-ema. Filmmakers like Satyajit

Ray, Ritwik Ghatale, Guru Dutt, Bimal Roy, Mehboob Khan, K Asif, Raj Kapoor, KV Reddy, LV Prasad & Ramu Kariat made waves in their respective film industries & they went on to

make classics like Pather Pan-chali, Madhumati, Do Bheega Zameen, Shree 420, Awaara, Pyasa, Mother India, Mhual – e- Azam, Mayabazar & Chem-meen among many other films. In the south, Rajnikant, Ka-mal Hassan, Chiranjeev, and Balkrishna are some who en-

couraged the future generation. While Indian commercial cin-ema enjoyed popularity among movie - goers did not go unno-ticed.

The 70’s completely changed the way film made especially in Hindi film industries chang-ing social norms and changing economics boomed movies and the companies that made them. It was the age of angry young man Amitabh Bachchan, rose to prominence thanks to the successful sight of Sholay, Zan-jeer, Deewar. While Dev Anand, Rajesh Khanna, Jitendra and Dharmendra continued to bask in the glory.

In recent year Hindi cinema has undergone a massive change due to the emergence of new age film makers like Anurag Kashyap, Raj kumar Hirani, Dibakar Banerjee and Vishal Bhardwaj.

Regular foreign investment

made by major global studio such as 20th century for Sony pictures, and Warner bros put a stamp of conyarmohan that bollywood has etched itself on the global podium.

It was time, 90s century focus to aesthetic appeal. And the stars like Shah Rukh Khan, Ra-jnikant, Madhuri Dixit, Salman Khan , Aamir Khan, Chiranjeev, Juhi hcawla & Hrithik Roshan began to explore ways to use new techniques t o enrich In-dian cinema with their perfor-mances.

Indian cinema, despite all its peculiarities, has been a reflec-tion of the socio – economic, political & cultural changes that took place in the country. Here’s hoping that Indian movies con-tinue to entertain us the way they have been doing since 10 decades.

Hydrogen fuel is a zero-emis-sion fuel which uses electro-chemical cells or combustion in internal engines, to power vehicles and electric devices. It is also used in the propulsion of spacecraft and can potentially be mass-produced and com-mercialized for passenger vehi-cles and aircraft.

Hydrogen is the first element on the periodic table, mak-ing it the lightest element on earth. Since hydrogen gas is so light, it rises in the atmosphere and is therefore rarely found in its pure form, H2 In a flame of pure hydrogen gas, burning in air, the hydrogen (H2) reacts with oxygen (O2) to form water (H2O) and releases heat. Other than water, hydrogen combus-tion may yield small amounts of nitrogen oxides.

Combustion heat enables hy-drogen to act as a fuel. Never-theless, hydrogen is an energy carrier, like electricity, not an energy resource. Energy firms must first produce the hydrogen gas, and that production in-duces environmental impacts. Hydrogen production always requires more energy than can

When you explore, think, be curious to know how the things are going on what is the main reason behind it, then be ready because you are having a very knowledgeable friend, which never complaints and never make demand, just help us.

Science meaning to “Knowl-edge, it is a systematic enter-prise that builds and organizes knowledge about the universe. In an older and closely related meaning “Science” refers to and is only alive because of scien-tist. Science classical antiquity science as a type of knowledge comes close to philosophy. be retrieved from the gas as a fuel later on. This is a limitation of the physical law of the con-servation of energy.

Hydrogen lies in the first group and first period in the periodic table. Hydrogen is neither a metal nor a non metal but still is considered as non metal. It acts as a metalloid when compressed to high densities.

ManufacturingBecause pure hydrogen does not occur naturally, it takes en-ergy to manufacture it. There are different ways to manufac-ture it, such as, electrolysis and steam-methane reforming pro-cess. In electrolysis, electricity is run through water to separate the hydrogen and oxygen at-oms. This method can be used by using wind, solar, geother-mal, hydro, fossil fuels, biomass, and many other resources. The non-polluting methods of mak-ing electricity (wind, solar, hydro, geothermal, biomass), rather than fossil fuels, would be better used as to continue the environment-friendly process of the fuel. Obtaining hydrogen from this process is being stud-ied as a viable way to produce it domestically at a low cost. Steam-methane reforming pro-cess extracts the hydrogen from

ral science was considered as separate branch of philosophy. Those branches of study that seek to explain the phenomena of the material universe is sci-ence of modern usage.

In 17th and 18th century sci-entists tried to formulate sci-ence in terms of laws of nature such as Newton’s law of mo-tion and over the course of the 19th century, the word science became increasingly associated with scientific method, a way to study natural world including: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geology.

William Whewell distinguished those who sought knowledge on nature from those who sought knowledge in fields other than nature.

methane. However, this reac-tion causes a side production of carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide which are green-house gases and contribute to global warming. Even so, the current leading technology for producing hydrogen in large quantities is steam reforming of methane gas (CH4).

Energy

Once manufactured, hydrogen is an energy carrier (i.e. a store for energy first generated by other means). The energy can be delivered to fuel cells and generate electricity and heat, or burned to run a combustion engine. In each case hydrogen is combined with oxygen to form water. The heat in a hydrogen flame is a radiant emission from

Modern science: Galileo is known to be father of modern science. He invented telescope which contributed very much to astronomy and was later instrumental in proving that Earth revolves around the sun

Science wants new discovery, new enthusiasm among each and every child, by which sci-ence will feel proud to have the respect of knowledge, so charge up your battery switch on the circuit of brain, make some chemical bond which give the explosion to ideas, put telescope and see the infinity universe. Science is waiting for new and new scientists, who will take it to another extent because you are one of kind, your country is calling you, think explore be-cause, necessity is the mother of invention so, are you all ready to make science to feel proud.

Learning is central in knowl-edge – based societies & econo-mies. In many countries there is a push to reflect this by ensur-ing that reforms of the educa-tion system focus more strongly on learning itself rather than simpl y changing structures and educational organization. But what does a “focus on learning” mean in concrete terms? Why is it important? And crucially, is the knowledge base on learning strong enough to help policy – makers shape their directions from recent OECD educational analysis.

Rationales for closer focus on learning and on change- The need for life long learning.

The inevitability of life long learning in knowledge oriented societies implies that school system should have different objectives and characteristic than if education were consid-ered to have been completed when a student leaves initial education. Yet in practice, there remains a tendency for school education to be assessed in terms of the achievement and target that system has set them-selves, rather than their broader success in laying the foundation for life long learning.

Commerce is exchange of goods & services for many of kinds, usually on a scale large enough to require. Commerce is whole business of an economy that constitutes an environment for business.

the newly formed water mol-ecules. The water molecules are in an excited state on initial formation and then transition to a ground state; the transi-tion unleashing thermal radia-tion. When burning in air, the temperature is roughly 2000°C. Historically, carbon has literally been the carrier of hydrogen as more hydrogen is packed in fossil fuels than pure liquid

hydrogen of the same amount. The carbon atoms have clas-sic storage capabilities and also add more energy output when burned with hydrogen. Howev-er, burning carbon base fuel and releasing its exhaust has pro-duced too much global warm-ing due to the greenhouse effect of carbon gases. Pure hydrogen

is the smallest element and some of it will inevitably escape from any known container or pipe in micro amounts, yet sim-ple ventilation could prevent such leakage from ever reaching the volatile four percent hydro-gen-air mixture. So long as the product is in a gaseous or liquid state, pipes are a classic and very efficient form of transportation. Pure hydrogen, though, has a long term effect on metal pipes causing metal to become more brittle, thus this might require a little more maintenance in the long run. Potentially, there is plenty of wind power to sup-ply all of the world’s electri-cal supply many times over. Once the construction cost of a windmill is paid off, very lit-tle maintenance cost is required and the energy is practically free. Although electricity can be delivered long distances, large amounts of electricity cannot be stored and must be generated as needed, and this requires complicated distribution pro-cesses. This is where hydrogen can act as a good carrier. With electrolysis, electricity can affect the extraction of hydrogen and oxygen from water with a little loss of energy in process. Then the hydrogen can be piped long distances and reconverted into electricity. A greater quantity

of hydrogen can be delivered while bonded to carbon and there won’t be micro leakage nor would the metal become brittle. The carbon based ex-haust from burning coal could be combined, piped and stored with hydrogen and aid hydro-gen as a carrier to combustion engines that generate electricity when needed. If hydrogen can be feasibly extracted from the gas before being burned, then pure water can be recycled and the carbon base exhaust could be further sequestered into al-gae. Algae farms can produce organic fertilizer, feed for ani-mals, and algae oil from which numerous petroleum products can be made. In this way, carbon base exhaust from burning coal becomes a carrier for hydrogen fuel and becomes plants (algae) instead of global warming.

UsesHydrogen fuel can provide mo-tive power for cars, boats and airplanes, portable fuel cell ap-plications or stationary fuel cell applications, which can power an electric motor. With regard to safety from unwanted explo-sions, hydrogen fuel in automo-tive vehicles is at least as safe as gasoline.

Last week, I was offered the op-portunity to write this article or ‘What’s happening in Egypt’. I was pretty much excited for I had never written an arti-cle for a newspaper, but alas; what was I supposed to write; I knew nothing. Who can expect an everyday stranger to know what’s happening in a country par away from his a country that has no political or rather any re-lations from his? So I set sail in the vast ocean of information i.e. the internet and brought up this article and it goes like this.Egypt had a military coup in 2011 and now in 2011. 2 coups in three years is very surprising; reasons behind it is as follows- with Hosni Mubarak stepping down in 2011, Egypt had its first democratically elected Presi-dent in 30 years. Egypt seemed to be on its path to democracy and the Arab Spring and face book revolution promised to breathe fresh air into the coun-try’s governance.

The revolution represented a new craw Egypt history and had spread hope to the whole popu-lations.

However, Mohammad Morsi, the democratically elected Pres-

ident in 2011 and his Muslim brothers went against the spirit of democracy. They equated religion with politics, regard-ing Islam as the answer to all of Egypt’s chronic problems and hence blocking any secu-lar aspirations for a modern

and pluralist Egypt. They mis-treated democracy, the power of the people to rule and used religion as a tool to maintain their regime. And this led to ap-proximately 25 million on the first anniversary of Morsi’s time in power to go out on the streets protesting against him and ad-

4 year child while playing with a toy – train started discussing with experts and some great painters about some serious and logical issues of painting it was normal to raise a question in mind that how and from where this small child got a expert lev-el of knowledge about painting art. It is also hard to think that a 7 year boy doing a surgery of a girl who is one year elder than

him in age and successfully able to separate her two fingers neatly. Story is not finished yet. If it was said that a 10 year girl is accurately and speedy doing the complex problems of Maths that the most adept Mathemati-cians fail in, what do you have to say then?

It’s not movie script and also these children are not char-acters of a film. They are from

this world itself and lively able to represent their talent in front of the world. These are the children whose mind works quite fast for their age. They are multitalented. These children are born with special abilities and talent, for which they are known in their fields. For this type of children term child prodigy is used.

Shorya Mehnot Age: 4 years Achievement: In 3 years of age, became abstract painter.

4 year boy residing in Neemach (M.P.) is world’s youngest ab-stract painter. When country’s renowned cartoonist and paint-er “R. K. Laxman” gets to know about this little champion, he immediately invited him to meet. Shorya impressed him

to such an extent that he him-self painted with him. In July 2012, there was an exhibition of Shorya’s painting. He is known as “Chota Pablo”.

Akrit Jaswal:Age: 19 yearsAchievement: in 7 years age did surgery.

In 7 years of age, he conducted

surgery of a girl, elder than him by a year and separated her two fingers joint together. The sur-gery, by the way, required high level of skills. His IQ score is 146 which seem nearly impos-sible for children of his age. He is also the world’s youngest doc-tor. He had been interviewed on one of the America`s most watched Television show by Oprah Winfrey, which is also, in itself, quite an achievement.

Priyanshi SomaniAge: 13 yearsAchievement: in 10 years age become mental calculator champion.

A 13 years old human calcula-tor, Priyanshi Somani, is also in the series. She is a student of 9th standard in Ajmer’s Mayo Girl’s school. She is a world record

holder in mental square root and winner of mental calcula-tions 2010. According to his father, “Children are not known that they are special or ordinary, they are the parents who make them realize about their quali-ties.” She credits her achieve-ments to the hard work, perse-verance and dedication she has showed and the motivation she received from her parents and teachers.

Kishan Shrikant: Age: 16 yearsAchievement: Made a film in 9 years of age.

Youngest film director, Kishan Shrikant, a is record holder in Guiness Book of World re-cords. This 16 years youngster had made ‘Footpath’ film in which he had directed profes-sional artists like Jacky Shroff and Sourabh Shukla. ‘Footpath’ won National Award 2006 along with many other awards.

Sometimes we make these chil-dren so special that we behave with them in a different man-ner and this becomes threat for their existing qualities as they become habitual of this spe-cial behaviour done with them. Along with this sometimes par-ents expect same talent from their younger brother/sister which is not fair. They should realize that every child has some unique qualities, which are to be identified, in which parents play the most impor-tant role. We must take a leaf out of their book and follow our interests. There is a fair chance that someone from us might be a child prodigy but he doesnt knows that himself.

vocating his ouster.

Independent institutions like the media, the courts, the po-lice and the civil service that were responsible for checking power in the democratic gov-ernment were undermined and

instead, served as a guardian to the Morsi regime. Brothers were appointed in the key po-sitions, feeding secularist fear and ‘Islamizing every aspect of the society’. Other political groups, led by prominent busi-nessmen were margindised adding further strain to the

economy. Religions minorities were threatened and attacked while foreigners working for advocacy groups promoting human rights and democracy were hounded, prosecuted and convicted on false charges.

Here are some suggestions from my side that I believe will help Egypt get back on its path of true democracy. Egypt needs an inclusive political process that will make people feel that they are full participants in their country’s great future. The Urban liberals deserve

their say as much as those who wish to combine. Islamic tradi-tions with democratic princi-ples. Like any other democratic country, Egypt needs a constitu-tion equipped with checks and balances to ensure respect for the rights of all Egyptians citi-

zens; it needs full civilian rule. The violence of the past weeks must end for political contro-versies cannot be resolved by force; too many lives name al-ready been lost in this quest for democracy and losing more cannot be afforded. Arbitrary arrests and other forms of har-

assment must end because they have no place in a democratic society. Detainees must be re-leased and criminal cases be reviewed swiftly and in a trans-parent manner. Likewise, a free media is vital and Journalists should not be penalized as a consequence of their profes-sional work; and broadcast me-dia must operate unhindered by any form of harassment or arbi-trary closure.

Free elections within the next few months should be held within the framework of above mentioned principles. Progress is not just vital, it is also urgent and the time – table presented by the interim president seems satisfactory.

A democratic culture and in-dependent constitutions will struggle to take root in an eco-nomic crisis. Today tourists are scared away; foreign investors are holding back. This simply shows that political and eco-nomic progresses are insepa-rable and are the answer to the loud call during the revolution in January 2011 for dignity. So-cial justice and a decent life – A call that is still resounding all throughout Egypt.

READING MAKES YOU BETTER! BENEFITS OF READINGThe public library is a phenom-ena that to this day I still can’t get over. Free knowledge, for anyone. Literally, anyone. I can’t think of an equivalent other than going to a clothing store, “checking out” an outfit, wearing the outfit and returning it in four weeks, free of charge.

Except books are so much bet-ter than clothes.

Recently I’ve been on a huge reading kick, checking out any-thing I can get my hands on in the library. (I’m writing a guest post on ZenHabits to detail some of the best stuff I’ve found, so more on that later.)

I’ve found that no matter what I read, the act of reading every day has helped me in nearly every aspect of my life. Here are a few of my favorite ways that reading has improved my qual-ity of life, and will definitely im-prove yours.

1. Enhanced Smarts

Wow, this may be the most obvious statement of the post, right? Well, it turns out that reading helps in almost every area of smarts. Those that read have higher GPA’s, higher intel-

ligence, and general knowledge than those that don’t. In Anne E. Cunningham’s paper What Reading Does for the Mind (pdf version), she found that reading, in general, makes you smarter, and it keeps you sharp as you age.

No matter what you’re want-ing to do or become, you can’t do it without more knowledge. Reading is an excellent way to get where you’re wanting to go.

2. Reading reduces stress

When I’m reading a book, my mind shifts gears. Where I might have a had a stressful day, a book can easily distract me. Fiction is fantastic for this. Reading an awesome fiction book is perfect right before bed time. Though sometimes it’s hard to put the book down if it’s really good. Still, you’ll be relaxed ;)

3. Greater tranquility

Reading can soothe like no oth-er. Given that I’m a pretty high-energy person, reading forces me to sit and be still. This daily act of making myself be quiet and still has been nothing short of miraculous for my anxiety and my “fidgety factor”.

4. Improved analytical thinking

That’s right! Cunningham’s studies have found that ana-lytical thinking is boosted by reading. Readers improve their general knowledge, and more importantly are able to spot pat-terns quicker. If you can spot patterns quicker, your analytical skills receive a boost.

5. Increased vocabulary

It’s no secret that reading in-creases your vocabulary and improves your spelling, but did you know that reading increases your vocabulary more than talk-ing or direct teaching? Reading forces us to look at words that we might not have seen or heard recently at the pub. In fact, lan-

guage in children’s books are likely to be more sophisticated than your average conversation.

Increased vocabulary is espe-cially crucial for bloggers or writers. All successful writers will tell you that in order to write well, you need to read. Every day. You’ll be surprised at the words you start incorporat-

ing into your writing.

A beefier vocabulary isn’t just for writers though. Knowing what other people are saying and using the perfect words to convey your feelings is a critical part of being a better human. Better listeners are more suc-cessful in life.

(Side note: If you’re concerned

with your well-being at pre-viously mentioned pub, you might lay off the more obnox-ious terms you’ve picked up.)

6. Improved memory

I have an awful memory. Just ask my fiancee. I usually can’t remember what I’ve eaten for breakfast, let alone things like names and addresss. Yet I’ve been finding that I can remem-ber stuff much easier when I’ve been reading consistently. Do I have any scientific data to match this up? Not really. But I’d say it’s a pretty safe bet that reading has somehow given me memory mojo.

7. Improved writing skills

This isn’t much of a stretch, con-sidering that reading improves vocabulary and critical think-ing. I feel like a better writer, as I’m constantly surrounding myself with works from people who are better than me. That’s why English classes in High School make you read “the clas-sics”. That’s why art students learn to copy masterpieces, so they know what creating some-thing incredible should feel like.

The more you read, the better of a writer you’ll become.

8. Helps prioritize goals

Many times we’re certain we know what we “really want” in life. Yet I’ve found that activities like reading show me things I didn’t know about myself. My mind will drift to things that I’d really like to do, and it isn’t long that these little lapses in read-ing start to cycle. The same sort of goals keep popping into my head, allowing me to see what I really want to do.

For example, I’ve been playing music on a consistent basis, but I’ve always wanted to produce and distribute my own music. As I’ve been reading, I’ve found that song ideas and other gen-eral thoughts on music keep popping into my head. It’s my times reading that have really pushed me into giving music a serious go.

When you remove yourself from your work environment, you’ll start to see things that you might really want to do, that you’re not doing yet. Read-ing gives you a chance for your to wander.
