technological developments.

Information became easier to access as libraries organized and circulated materials.

The invention of the computer brought about the greatest changes in libraries.

With the introduction of desktop computers into the school

library, computer technology became an integral component.

Students today have access to an endless amount of information with the use of technology and the Internet. Libraries today unlike long ago must be prepared to provide a wide range of services.

Today students use automated systems to locate resources

needed.

Electronic resources require librarians to have wide range of technology knowledge.

Libraries are the hub of learning with the help of technology and devices that allow us to go global.

SummaryLibraries of today in many ways resemble those of yesteryear in their

basic design and arrangement however unlike those of long ago technology has changed the way the library functions. Without the understanding and knowledge of today’s digital resources and technology, the library has little to offer students who must be technology ready for their future in the global market.
