YOUTH CHOIR TOUR 2014

It is once again time for our annual Youth Choir Tour. On Friday morning, May 30, 61 choir members and 14 chaperones will depart Newnan for

Niagara Falls.

The choir will be leading worship in four churches: Providence UMC in Quinton, VA, Springfield UMC in Springfield, VA, Immaculate

Conception Church in Greene, NY, and First UMC in Winchester, VA. They will also be singing at Aldersgate Retirement Community in Charlotte,

NC, and will be attending a Washington Nationals game in Washington, DC, visiting Hershey Park in Hershey, PA, and visiting Niagara Falls, NY.

The choir asks for your prayers as they travel. Pray that those who hear them will be blessed by their presence and their message. Also pray for our chaperones: David Kinrade, Melanie Reeves, Kerry Moore, Brent Ritter,

MUSIC NOTES SUMMER CALENDAR All choirs are currently on break from rehearsals. The only exception to that is our Parish & Chancel Choirs. Their final rehearsals of the summer will be Wednesday, June 11.

MUSIC NEWS SAVE THE DATE The Junaluska Singers are coming! This marvelous choir from Lake Junaluska, NC will be presenting a concert in our Sanctuary on Monday, July 14! There will be a covered dish dinner @ 5:30 p.m. and the concert will start @ 7 p.m. Save the date now…you don’t want to miss this!

UTH NEWS OUTDOOR MOVIE NIGHT! Friday, June 13 from 7-10:30 p.m. @ Sr. Pastor Stuart Greene’s house | Come out for a great time at the pastor’s house with food, friends, and a movie on the lawn! We’ll have BBQ, chips, drinks, and dessert. And there’s more than the movie…the Greenes have a fishing pond, so bring your rod and reel. FUN ‘N FROLIC DREAM CARS @ THE HIGH & IKEA June 25 | 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. | $15 | RSVP by June 9th This major exhibition of innovative automotive design will bring together 17 concept cars from across Europe and the U.S., including some of the rarest and most imaginative cars designed by Ferrari, Bugatti, General Motors, and Porsche. Dream Cars will feature cars from the early 1930s to the 21st century that pushed the limits of imagination and foreshadowed the future of design. After spending some time at the HIGH, the next stop will be IKEA where we will have lunch and do some shopping!

PRESCHOOL NEWS Our school year was wonderful! Our hearts were

touched by so many children. Thank you, parents, for sharing your children with us. The seeds of God’s love

were planted in the hearts of many children.

Thank you, church family, for your loving support of me and the preschool. This preschool ministry of our

church touches many lives in our community and I think you for allowing me to be a part of it. I look

forward to our Summer Enrichment program and to a wonderful year next year! Have a great summer!
