Celebrating the spirit of Sally Rogers.Benefiting The Children’s Village Sanctuaryfor runaway and homeless youth.

After 5-months of living on the streets, J.C.came to the Shelter for help. The first cou-ple days were really rough. She was mal-nourished and depressed, but had made thefirst step toward getting her life back. Stafftook her to a doctor, helped her withnutrition, enrolled her in school, and helpedher deal with the issues that caused her toleave home. Today, J.C. is in school and pass-ing her classes and, most importantly, reunited with her family.

Late last spring, a brother and sister, Jeff andAmanda, were admitted to the Sanctuarythrough their school guidance office afterbeing abandoned by their parents. Workingwith Social Services, shelter staff was ableto locate other family members inWestchester who took them into theirhome. Jeff and Amanda are now doing wellliving with their relatives, who are commit-ted to caring for them.
