ROBERT E. JOHNSON 12/31/1944 - 12/24/2002 The Robert E. Johnson Memorial Scholarship Fund was established by Citizens Bank & Trust Company as a lasting legacy to our friend and colleague, Bob Johnson, who passed away on December 24, 2002. Bob, as an individual and as Senior Vice President of Citizens Bank & Trust Company, demonstrated a unique and highly regarded combination of ethics and leadership abilities. For his co-workers, Bob was a daily role model of core values: patience, integrity, empathy, respect, diligence, and hard work. His untimely death saddened not only his family and his bank colleagues, but an entire community. Citizens Bank & Trust Company endowed this fund with the wish that while serving as an ongoing tribute to Bob Johnson, it will assist area students in the pursuit of their academic goals. AWARD AMOUNT: A minimum scholarship of $500.00 will be awarded annually. QUALIFICATIONS: Applications for the scholarship are open to graduating high school seniors who have been accepted to a two or four year college or university. In addition to the scholarship application form and a letter of acceptance, applicants are to submit a 300 - 500 word essay on The Importance of Personal Character in A Leadership Role. APPLICATION DEADLINE: Scholarship applications must be submitted by Friday, April 3, 2020 to: Citizens Bank & Trust Company | Attn: Lindsey Page | 126 S Main St, Blackstone,VA 23824 GRANTING OF AWARD: A three-member selection committee will review the applications and essays and will announce the recipient on Monday, April 20, 2020.

The Robert E. Johnson Memorial Scholarship Fund was established by Citizens Bank & Trust Company as a lasting legacy to our friend and colleague, Bob Johnson, who passed away on December 24, 2002.
