City of Suffolk Growth & Demographics Suffolk grew more than 32 percent in the last 10

years; the fastest growing city in Hampton Roads, and one of the fastest in Virginia.

Northern Suffolk and Harbour View location grew 8,000 residents in that time.

Suffolk’s median household income rose by 55 percent, more than any other city or county in Virginia.

Kevin Hughes, Suffolk’s Economic Development Director says “Not all of our business in tied to JFCOM. Many businesses are still saying Northern Suffolk is where they want to be whether or not Joint Forces is here or not.”

Deborah Stearns, EVP of Harvey Lindsay Commercial Real Estate says “We have a great opportunity to capitalize on other modeling and simulation industries such as health-care and economics.
